I've mostly just been there for standard cleanings, but she did also remold and set me up with a fresh set of retainers when mine no longer worked and I've been happy with the new set. They have also accommodated my last minute schedule changes a couple of times so I appreciate that. Overall I'd recommend Dr Wakim, she (and her team) are great!

Between my kids and I we have had 3-4 different fillings fall out and he has no such thing as emergency appointments!! My daughter and I have been miserable and in pain and they want to schedule you months out to fix his crappy work!! And beside them falling out we have never had work done that we haven't had to go back for him to file stuff down or do something to make it comfortable. It's like he just throws the bonding material on there and does no polishing.. I will be reaching out to my insurance companies lawyers because I doubt they will want to pay for this work twice!! There are procedures in place for handling after-hours patient issues, and they were able to get my son scheduled for an emergency appointment to evaluate his toothache. As a result, my rating has been adjusted. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Transferred a family of 4 to Dean Dental on the recommendation of other patients. Unfortunately, these folks do not appear to be patient-focused. Their procedure for dental emergencies is "go to urgent care," and when my 16 year old son had persistent tooth pain in July, they told me they couldn't see him before the end of August, and that I was free to find another dentist for emergency care. They don't appear to check messages when the office is closed. They don't appear to do traditional emergency appointments during normal business hours. Both of these things are common with independent dental practices, or at least the ones who are patient-focused and demonstrate a good work ethic. The staff and practitioners may be "nice," but that doesn't matter if they're not there when you need them.

At first they seem very nice and like they really want to help you, but my experience was like I…read morestarted to notice them wanting to do more than what was necessary or for what I actually came there for. So I had a minor chip in one my front teeth and just needed it evened out but they had to shoot me up with novacaine which was totally unnecessary but I went along with it in order to get my tooth evened out. It was so minute of a chip only I noticed it because, I felt it with my tongue. The next time I went was supposed to be just for a cleaning but low and behold my insurance I was told will cover full facial X-rays and gum decease diagnostics so they said they couldn't just do a cleaning without doing everything else that the insurance paid for. They did everything else and then wanted to reschedule me for my teeth cleaning which would have been an extra visit charge. I confronted them about what was going on and they said that they would remove me as a patient. I was Okay with that because, I knew that I was be charged excessively. I would rate them as a ripoff business!

This used to be an excellent dental office, but since Dr Arnie retired the service has been…read moreterrible. Dr Arnie would take time to consult with you about any dental work needed, but now you are just told what needs done and to schedule an appointment. Multiple times I have had the current dentists try to insist on getting root canals, and not take the time to talk with me about what I think. My teeth are not very sensitive, and Dr Arnie would always take into consideration that each person is different- he provided me with multiple fillings where a root canal could have been an option, but in each case his excellent work has held up and limited the amount of pain & money that would have come from constant root canals. Instead of a focus on patient care, there seems to be more of a focus on financial gain - my last appt I was quoted for over $1800 of work that would need done and had to all be done at the same time. Did not do any of it, and still no issues more than a year later. The office staff is also very unfriendly, especially to a family needing to book multiple appts at once. They refuse to book cleanings any less than 8 months out (despite 6 months being the recommended time frame) yet take on new patients and give them priority scheduling. They seem to also have a shortage of dental hygienists, claiming they have more business than can currently be handled by their staff. We had gone to this dentist for more than 25 years without having any of these issues, but with the retirement of Dr Arnie it is no longer a good dentist office. I would highly recommend finding a different dentist to avoid the same poor service we have experienced.

To be honest I hadn't been to the dentist in over three year~yikes!~ so I had some plaque build up. I have had some negative experiences with my past dentist so I'm always skeptical. However, she did a great job and I felt very comfortable the whole time. Dr. Thomas came in after my cleaning and he was also very friendly and professional! He answered all my questions thoughtfully. I also really liked when I asked him about my bottom crooked teeth that mentioned visaline and how they had a specialist at their practice but he did not pressure me at all and just mentioned it for if down the line I wanted to consider it. Also my previous dentist told me that it was imperative that I got my wisdom teeth pulled Dr. Thomas informed me that there is no reason for me to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I loved how honest this practice was and that they weren't trying to nickel and dime you. This is the greatest doctor experience I have ever had! Would 100% recommend this place to everyone!
