Our Son & Nephew took us to Frascone Winery while we were heading to the Anahuac Wildlife Park, and we were pleasantly surprised. The family that owns the winery were very friendly and they had a nice variety of wines & meads which my son is a big fan of. They had alligator egg rolls on the menu that we just had to try, which were very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, bought a couple of bottles of wine and mead, then drove over to the Anahuac Wildlife park and saw many alligators especially young ones while driving through the park. Sorry I didn't take any of the winery but took many alligator pics. I highly recommend that you stop by for a visit and a tasting.

If you want to get away from everything, come here. We are staying at the winery now and I can't even express through words how awesome it is. Jim is incredible and has so many amazing life stories to tell. We felt super welcomed when we arrived. The wine tasting is a great way to try the delicious wines and the homemade alligator egg rolls are amazing!!! If you like spicy, try the Devils Breath. Soooo good. The Cranberry, Grapefruit and Elderberry wines are great too. The chocolate wine paired with ice cream is pretty incredible. So many great fruit wines and a lot of flavors of Meade wine. They also have dry whites and reds. Bubbly wines when available. The neighbors are all incredibly gracious and welcoming, all with their own stories to tell about the history of this small community. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance. We ate at Channel Marker 17 last night. It's a dimly lit friendly little local fishing village bar inside. The outdoor seating on the water is great for families. Good burgers and seafood in a very laid back atmosphere. Think Key West. A little playground within walking distance for kids and a couple of fishing piers and boat launces. If you want to reset, relax, slow down and be around some pretty amazing people, good wine and a real local vibe, don't miss this spot!! We don't want to leave!!!

    Ziggy playing with the local.

Owner was very welcoming. Although winery hours were until 6pm, he and his wife served us until almost midnight.

Lovely time, beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. Wasn't a huge fan of the wines.

Although the reviews were mixed, the majority were positive, and seeing that they offered pho, we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, the host was warm and welcoming. The restaurant itself features pleasant décor and a comfortable atmosphere. There were a few families dining at the time, which created a relaxed and inviting environment. The host took our drink order promptly and brought the beverages out before our server came to take our food order. We ordered the special vermicelli plate, fresh spring rolls, and the ribeye pho. All of the dishes arrived at the same time. The vermicelli bowl, unfortunately, was not as flavorful as we had hoped; the sauce could have benefited from a bit more depth and seasoning. The pho was satisfactory, though we may simply be accustomed to a more robust, authentic flavor profile. During the meal, our server checked on us several times. We did need to mention an issue with the shrimp in the vermicelli plate, and he handled it professionally by removing the item from our bill, which we appreciated. The service overall was attentive and courteous. It's possible that because we visited closer to closing time, the broth and proteins may not have been at their peak freshness. Despite our mixed feelings about the food, the quality of service and welcoming atmosphere left a positive impression. We would consider returning, hopeful for a stronger culinary experience next time. So we can revise our review.

Don't expect an H Mart-level of variety because this is not the same scale; it is a small business. It keeps me from having to order some items from Amazon or drive to Houston, and I'd rather support small business and buy it from here even if they sell it at WalMart. The service is good. There are complaints on other reviews about "unfriendliness", but those reviews are ethnocentric and don't account for the Vietnamese culture. People aren't going to smile, greet you, and ask how you are at Saigon Market. That is not a typical interaction to have with strangers in most places throughout the world, even if they provide customer service, and no one is entitled to that level of interaction and familiarity. Another reviewer stated that the clerk was rude and lazy when she asked where something was. I cannot help but wonder if the customer even attempted to look because there are few aisles and the aisles are organized by type of good. A quick 2 minute stroll up and down the aisles will give you a layout of where different items will be--that's how small the store is. If you cannot find it where similar items are, they do not have it. Most products are imported and you might need a translator app for some if you don't know what it is or need to avoid specific ingredients. The grocery store takes credit, debit, and EBT cards. There is a separate takeout restaurant--a bánh mì deli--inside the store where you can buy fresh sandwiches and drinks. Other reviewers complained about it being cash only, but many food stands and trucks in Port Arthur were cash only and some still are.
