Since my wife was born and bred in Sta Ana, Manila, and some of her brothers still reside there, we go to that part of Manila fairly often. That and the fact that my youngest son is also renting his own little pad there.
Very recently, I happened to pass by on my way to an appointment in downtown Manila. I passed by Pedro Gil AKA Herran and since the traffic was heavy and the afternoon sun was extra hot, I decided to give this new milk tea house a try.
I have no idea why they call it Frappeetea. I know frappe to be one type of coffee, so I was guessing that they may also have iced coffees.
Their specialty is really milk teas and since the place is new, it is trying to attract the market with a simple buy one, take one gimmick. At P60, it's not a bad bargain, although the servings are on the small side.
They also have ice blended milk tea, which is a better thirst quencher. I also had a sandwich, which was nothing to write home about.
The milk tea I had wasn't bad, but nothing outstanding. read more
