For a time, there were two Infinitea outlets in the Taft-Vito Cruz area, which were only a skip and a hop away from each other. There was a stall fronting St. Scholastica along Leon Guinto; and a café beside Jollibee along Taft. The stall eventually closed, which was probably a good decision since there are already too many milk tea shops in its area. What remains now is the café, which has become an alternative hangout for students looking for some peace and quiet that Starbucks and the other coffee shops in the vicinity can no longer provide.
The Infinitea café is a cozy nook tucked between Jollibee and Mang Inasal near the corner of Taft and Vito Cruz. With comfy couches and chairs, it's a good place to study or to just chill with friends. There's a small smoking area if tea and cigarettes are your preferred pairing.
Their drink list is quite extensive, from fruit teas to milk teas, to frappes, and even non-caffeinated options. For the milk teas, I recommend the Wintermelon Oolong, which does not skimp on the tea flavor. Request for less ice, which I always do when I order drinks, regardless of where, so you don't end up with too much ice or too watered down a drink. This is not just a perfect cooler, it's also a great alternative to coffee when you need that extra energy boost. read more
