Horrible experience. Like moving cattle. Highly impersonal. Will not be back. While the staff were fairly friendly it was a robotic friendly like they're trained to direct you but say thank you. I feel so unseen yet I'm paying you! Not even a warning that they were dilating my eyes. Assistant did everything and you wait with a dozen other people to see a doctor for two minutes. read more

Brock did my post cataract surgery checkup today. He was extremely helpful in answering my questions and very professionally pleasant. He is a great addition to your staff. Marilyn Blain read more

Extremely long wait. Appt was for 10:30 and waiting hour and a half to see the dr. Incredibly unprofessional and rude staff

I started seeing practitioners in this office starting approximately ~ 20 years ago. I called to make an appointment for visual field exam for eyelid surgery. They would only do this if I chose one of the ophthalmologists in their practice to do the surgery! Never heard of such a policy - to deny a patient the right to choose their own surgeon! read more

I been going to Frantz Eye Care for 11 years. Dr Johnson is amazing and very professional. The staff is wonderful and friendly. A every thorough job is done. I have VSP insurance and it's well accepted. Always get my glasses there too and can go back anytime for adjustments. Had eyelid surgery and was very pleased with the results. My husband had cataracts surgery and was very pleased with that too. Love the hot chocolate chip cookies which is an another plus!! read more

Worst experience ever. Had been to at least 5 or 6 appointments told them I needed a copy of my prescription to get glasses made( had misplaced mine) no problem ask the girl out at counter where they sell glasses on way out. She told me we don't have a prescription. Been here 6 times never checked my eyes? So went home and called the guy said yes we do . Come back to get it told have to make an appointment for exam to have prescriptions I was just there that morning and asked for it at my appointment. read more

I have been using Frantz for my eye care for many years. They scheduled me with a retina specialist who was doing an ultrasound of my eye twice a year. I saw her until I was told she left the practice and I was scheduled with Dr. Plous. Dr. Plous was not personable, didn't explain my condition, just told me I was fine, to come back in 10 months to a year. After my second appointment, Dr. Plous had not done an ultrasound for well over a year, so I asked about it. He scheduled me at a different location to have the ultrasound. At that appointment, after all the tests, Dr. Plous came in, he asked the tech where the ultrasound was. I said, "I came here for the ultrasound." He screamed very rudely, something like, "Just give us a minute." I said, "You don't have to get nasty." He said, "This exam is over, schedule her with Dr. Warrior" and he walked out of the room. I was dumbfounded. Apparently, this is a normal thing with this doctor. The tech did the ultrasound and connected me with her manager, who called the manager of the medical staff. They did bring Dr. Plous in to apologize, but it didn't sound sincere. His excuse was that he has to see 70 patients a day, like that should make his behavior excusable. I suggested that he was apologizing because the "boss" was there. He told me that his position isn't in jeopardy. That may be part of the problem. Frantz knows how he acts and allows it to happen. I will NEVER see him again and am working to find another eye care option. I sent a letter to the owner, Jonathan Frantz over two weeks ago, and I haven't heard a word from him or his office. Apparently, they don't care about their patient's experience, they only care about raking in the money. I would never recommend Frantz to anyone!! read more

We just switched to Frantz after seeing another practice in the Cape for 2 years that we were "okay" with. Dr Johnson is professional, personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her. I have needed vision correction for 30 years. I wore contacts for 15, then had LASIK and then my eyes changed again after 13 years of being contact/glasses free. I went to two other optometrists in the Cape to be fitted for contacts and glasses again. I had issues with the prescriptions both times and was told to just get used to them. As soon as Dr Johnson looked at my eyes, she said "Your prescription is wrong" - I hadn't even had the chance to tell her the issues I'd been having. That impressed me immediately. Now I can see well again. She also saw all of my children and was wonderful with them as well - noticing issues in their eyes that had been diagnosed before we moved here but missed by other optometrists in the Cape. I highly recommend Dr Johnson if you are looking for a new optometrist. read more

Made an appointment and arrived on time. Be sure to read all the paperwork they ask you to sign. It's so board, you're signing off way too much. When I asked why they refused to explain and told me they couldn't see me - a funny statement from an eye doctor's office. Horrible customer service read more

The "McDonald's" of eye "care". Complete waste of time. Went in for eye exam, charged $100 for a contact lens fitting (okay, I get it). Given a pair of trial lenses, didn't work. Came back again and given another pair. Still didn't work. Unfortunately, Mom passes away and had to go across the country and deal with that. I get a $50 "missed appointment" penalty. No, "Oh, gosh. So sorry for your loss. We'll take care of that" or anything. Call in to schedule another appointment when I get back, take time off work. Checked focusing on eyes again, taken back into exam room and asked a litany of questions about my trial lenses. He excuses himself and goes out into the hallway. Door doesn't shut all the way and I hear the doctor say, "Well what does he think I am going to be able to do for him?". Then the hallway goes silent and the door closes. First thing I learned in business, if you're going to talk shit about the client, make sure he cannot hear you. Guy comes back in with his back up and tells me, "Oh, sorry. We can't do anything for you because it's been 60 days since the last trial fitting" and just silence. TWO of them are sitting there, staring at me after this revelation. I felt like they were scolding a disruptive toddler. Could you not have told me this when I scheduled the appointment, or even call me back prior to me showing up and WASTING MY TIME?  And then to treat me like a child, while in your office?? Literally walk out of the office in silence after them embarrassing me like that. Call for the office manager to discuss this matter, and hung up on, after the phone intake discovers why I am calling. Fuck you, Dr Frantz. There are FAR too many other opticians in the Ft Myers/Cape Coral metro area for you to be treating patients like this. Maybe you should stop taking head shots of you leaning back with your arms folded and try to find out what is happening at your office. The ONLY thing you have going for you is Dr Johnston. She is a rock star. She will obviously dribble the ball past you and slam dunk it right in your face. Clearly she will go places. Except for the whole "talking shit about clients" thing. But, you do look just fantastic in that picture. Sheesh. read more

no where near advertised results. beware. Glad I don't cheaters to read, but middle and distant vision worse

Frantz EyeCare did a great job with my mother who was suffering from sight issues after having cataract removal surgery performed by another doctor. I made the appointment with Frantz to get a second opinion on her surgery because she was complaining about one of her eyes. Frantz EyeCare gave her an appointment and once there a full eye exam. The staff at Frantz were professional, prompt and attentive. They listened to her complaints, examined her eyes and explained everything to her as they went along. Dr. Nguyen was great and I would recommend her to anyone. Mom walked out feeling better about her surgery and is following the advice of Dr. Nguyen, her eye is feeling much better. Special thanks to Frantz EyeCare for such a great job and for making my mom more comfortable!! read more

Wow. Just had the best appointment with Frantz EyeCare. Buck, the intern was just amazing. So nice and caring. I am terrible with anything close to my eyes- but he made me feel so comfortable, that I am going back for consultation in 5 months to have corrective surgery. Never thought I could do it! Dr Johnson was extremely professional and amazing as well. Top team. Picked out my glasses and on my way! Set my mom up for her cataract appointment and my husbands as well. read more
