My new puppy actually chewed up my very expensive Titanium Eye Glasses. I went to Quigley, and showed them the bird nest he created. True story- the lady in the center was wonderful. I said "My dog ate my glasses". She said let's take a look. In 15 minutes she re-formed my glasses perfectly. I said I bought them up North. She said not to worry, you our patient now. They're perfect now. True story!

Wife had cataract surgery in February. Both eyes have been itchy and have a haziness. Multiple…read moreoffice visits saying it'll be ok. Last visit they suggested that we see a retinal specialist and welcomed us getting a second opinion. How reassuring. Scheduled a consultation with Dr. Collins and finally got in. Told us she needed laser surgery. Can't do both at once since insurance doesn't cover doing both eyes at once. Waited nearly an hour to talk with the scheduler. Think the purpose of that was to confirm our insurance covered the cost which they could have done without our having to wait in their now empty holding pen. Have to be at St. Marks at 5 am for a 6:30 procedure. Apparently he does them prior to cataract surgeries. Hate that it would be any inconvenience for him to do these procedures after the cataracts and we wouldn't have to drive in the dark or get up at 4am. Repeatedly said we're in this together but haven't figured out how he's "in it" other than fees. Wish I could recommend someone else but hard to imagine things being worse. Think the original bill was $6k per eye over and above the insurance coverage!

I later talked to a friend that just made an appointment there. She told me that the person on the phone suggested Dr Brown instead of Dr Stacy Gorovoy.

My wife was in the hospital and she is came on her own to see my wife about some blindness in one…read moreeye. My wife saw a rental specialist prior to hospital and was told her optic nerve was swollen and was put steroids and eye drops. A day later she was completely blind in the same eye. My wife saw a neurologist that found black from her artery was blocking her blood flow to her eye. Dr Brown came in very roughly and proceeded to give my wife her about 5 eye test and told us her eye nerve was blind from not what the neurologist was telling us and after that ask if my wife knew about a spot on her lung that was getting larger. We thought she was going out of her speciality and re upset my wife. She needs some better bedside manner and check with doctors and nurses before any exams. I truly appreciate her military service and schooling. Just take time for compassion, treat people as people and not a number orba paycheck.
