When I tried to make an appointment with the VA to find out what was going on, they could not get me in within the 30-day period required by the new Congressional "Mission Act," that requires the VA to allow me to go to a private audiologist that they would set up and cover the expenses. Turns out that was the best thing that could have happened to me, as I was referred to Chippendale Audiology and Dr. Maura Chippendale. She thoroughly explained everything about hearing loss, got me the proper hearing aids and then professionally calibrated them properly and fit them to my ears. I didn't know how bad my hearing was until I got the proper hearing aids, with proper calibration and fitting from Dr. Chippendale. I called, and even though Mr. Noble told me insurance doesn't cover the cost of adjustments, he still agreed to see me that same afternoon. It was a fantastic experience. He did a sound byte test which I did not have done previously at the place I purchased them. He assured me that is the only way they can be fitted properly.
