Why would any food service use fake Swiss cheese, like coming from a cellophane wrapper?? When I ordered I requested extra Swiss cheese (big mistake) and heavy on sauerkraut. Whatever kind of corned beef they used was chopped up into an inedible mess like a mash with the sauerkraut. Then thrown on bread with the fake cheese. My husband's hot roast beef sandwich was the same. Whatever they considered as roast beef was chopped into little pieces in a big mess and thrown into a gravy and poured over potatoes. We contacted the owner who said "I'll look into it and get back to you". Two weeks later......nothing. We actually know that Mike the owner took our order that night but never owned up to it. $28 dollars is not a huge deal but when you get inedible food and the owner won't even respond after 2 weeks there is a problem. Again, we made it clear we were not looking for anything in return, we just would like to know there is a local place that serves good food and cares about how customers feel. Well we won't ever return and highly recommend you stay away. Also, probably check health department public records which we did not do until after the fact. We will drive the extra few miles to get good reputable food at a good reputable place. Wish I could do 0 stars, that should be an option.

When I visited it was for a family dinner so we did not have to navigate having golfing equipment with us. The restaurant was located on the upper level and not hard to miss once you got upstairs. The inside of the restaurant was sizable and could easily accommodate various group sizes. The views from the restaurant were nice. We weren't seated directly by a window but you could see the golf course from a distance. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with explaining the various items on the menu. On the day of my visit they had a sword fish special that my husband ordered but I was able to try. I ordered the steak with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The steak came with a nice size piece of garlic butter on-top of it. The steak was cooked beautifully and delicious. I tried the swordfish and it was a little lackluster especially compared to the steak. It was well seasoned and juicy. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were also nicely cooked. After seeing all of the other dishes that the table ordered, I tried a few, the steak was the best choice. The drinks were also well made.

When a friend of ours said the wings at the South Course were amazing. We need to test this statement, she needed to be qualified. I read the reviews for South Course, saw that the only thing negative was there service. So we planned a lunch evaluation. Firstly, service was excellent, our server was nice and professional. Secondly, the views of this lovely golf course makes lunch a decedent affair. I heard that chicken wings were a Sunday treat, and when I mentioned that our waitress said, I'll get you some. Oh boy, wings were ordered as an appetizer for everyone, and my friend ordered wings as the entree. I ordered chicken and waffles and my other friend ordered the fish and chips (walleye). The chicken wings were amazing, however, cold on the inside. They took them back and got us new (or refried) ones. They do have great, great chicken wings. The chicken and waffles, it was plated beautifully, but not really to my liking, very sweet. The Walleye fish and chips was out of the park, I shoulda got that. Management found out about the cold chicken wings and were most apologetic about it, and took it off the menu. Thumbs up to them. Service was terrific, Sky, she was so very nice. Yes, definitely I wanna try the dinner menu. I will be back.

It closes super early and is only open for dinner on Fridays, so you get a lot of early bird, local seniors coming in. Service is friendly, food is okay. Interesting to see the local folks seeing each other and saying hello.
