I've gotten here food from here once on my own and once when I was with a larger group. I will say it's really not seasoned that much. And could definitely use a bit more intentionality with the proportions. It's just really small for the price. It's one of the more expensive restaurants for Italian food in the area. After trying most of the pizzerias in the Flanders area, my wife and I stopped in for dinner at Frank's last night. The restaurant is situated in a strip mall on Rt 206. This is a large place with sit down dining. I went with pizza, a plain slice and a Buffalo chicken. My wife ordered a Caesar salad which was huge. We both thought the food was very good. Since moving to Flanders, this has become our new pizza place. We usually just get pizza or chicken wings delivered or to go (and it's always good). Last night, we actually sat down and had dinner. It was great! The fried calamari was perfectly breaded, perfectly cooked and their marinara sauce is delicious! My husband had a great looking Philly cheesesteak. I can't comment on how good it tasted because he wouldn't let me have any! :) I had a "small" calzone that was really good and enough to feed at least two people. The pizza itself was good. Your standard NJ/NY style pie. My issue was with the service. I ordered a pizza, showed up 30 mins later as directed, and when I gave them my name, they had me pay, and then it quickly became obvious that they had not started my pizza. Now they never told me this, mind you, they just said it would be a few minutes. But they took my money, never explained anything, and then let 25 more minutes pass. So I spoke up. I politely said, "ma'am, sir, mistakes happen, but what are you going to do to make this right?" The person behind the counter looked at me like I was crazy and said they are not going to do anything. So I told them that is fine, that is their choice, but I will never come back. Their response was, "fine, don't come back!" They could have given away a beer or soda for $1 and kept a customer, but instead they chose to lose a customer altogether. read more

Good food, but disappointing service/management. We placed an order for delivery and one of the items was not made as requested. When I called to let them know, they offered to make it the way we asked for and deliver that, which I felt was appropriate. But then when it arrived, the delivery person said he was told to ask for the original item back! This was fine because we weren't going to eat the rest anyway (had already cut into it, which is how we found out it was wrong) since it wasn't very good, but I was shocked that they would even ask. I'm not sure if they didn't believe me that the order was wrong, or were just angry that we asked them to make it right, but either way I found this offensive. And spiteful...they clearly were going to just throw it out anyway. Not to mention that they made their poor delivery driver have the uncomfortable task to ask for it back from an already disappointed customer. I didn't take it out on him because he was just doing what his boss asked him to do, but this is no way to treat a long-time customer or an employee. RUDE MANAGER, MEDIOCRE FOOD So disappointed with the experience I had here. Went to a friend's baby shower in the back room at Frank's and the best I can say about it was the waitress was very friendly. The pizza is seriously mediocre (and in NJ you better have good pizza because there's countless amazing places to go instead). The staff besides our waitress was absolutely HORRENDOUS. The man who seemed to be the manager was so unbelievable rude and yelled at the guest of honor for not spending enough money, even though the order was planned a month is advance. He even went so far as to berate guests about it. DO NOT GO HERE. Seriously, you can do much better without giving money to people like this man.
