I had a very disappointing experience at this dealership, specifically with salesman Steve…read moreSerafino. I felt heavily pressured to commit to a monthly car payment before my credit was ever run, which made no sense since there was no way to accurately determine financing terms without checking my credit first. What made the situation worse was that I was given misleading information about the APR, which felt dishonest and very unprofessional. Instead of being transparent about the full financial details, the focus was mainly on getting me to agree to a payment amount as quickly as possible. Customers deserve honesty, transparency, and accurate financing information before being pressured into making a financial commitment. I strongly recommend that anyone shopping here carefully review all loan terms, APR details, and paperwork before agreeing to anything.

Dealership said they would NOT cover the sound because wires were chewed. I was told by the employee, an opossum or raccoon did it. They stated someone climbed up to the ceiling of the car, popped open the plastic piece, chewed the wires in there then popped it back in. It doesn't make sense, if it was engine or dashboard would understand, but not the ceiling of the car that is not accessible unless the piece is removed. It was a manufacturing defect when the car was built that they do not want to admit to and cover it by the warranty.

The first problem is that we expect people to care and they don't. They are in business to make…read moremoney, not to be your friend and they certainly are not. They are the nicest people in the world when you are purchasing a car but completely unaffected when your car needs to be serviced. It takes forever to get your car in. The car I purchased has needed work 8 times in under a year (4 times is was major stuff). Luckily it's still under warranty. My check engine light was on and they gave me an appointment for 5 weeks later. I am currently aggressively fixing my credit so that I won't ever be in a position to need a service like theirs again. Horrible experience. P.S. Never be late on a payment. They will absolutely repo your car for being just one day late even if you have had on-time payments for 4 years. That's how they are able to sell to high risk borrowers which you are since you are going to them and not a regular dealership. Get over it and don't be late. No excuses.

And surprisingly none were covered under their "warranty". Now just shy of a year, the transmission has gone out. They have charged 3x what the car is worth, can't get out of it by trading it in, and can't drive more than 5 miles away from my house for fear I will get stranded when this pile of junk breaks down again. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

For the East Dundee location:…read more The team at Driven Auto are generally personable and willing to help. We specifically came for a vehicle that they had listed on their website that was within our price range. Adam was kind (we felt no pressure) and went on a separate test drive with both me and my husband as we had our baby with us and weren't able to all go at the same time. The purchase process was fairly easy and we were happy to walk away with a new to us car that same day. After driving the vehicle home, we started to notice a grinding/clanking noise. It progressed and continue to get louder, so I called as I was concerned that it could be a significant safety issue. They got us in the following Monday and were able to determine that the front passenger side control arm needed to be replaced. We are grateful that they got us in quickly and replaced this free of charge. Unfortunately, there are a few issues that we are still having with the vehicle. The active noise cancelation system (ANC) has a microphone issue. Instead of reducing road noise, it is amplifying it when accelerating between 25-35 mph. My husband pointed this out when we brought the vehicle back for the control arm, but they were unable to fix that component. Also, during our test drive we noticed a noise that sounded similarly to an electronic deadbolt locking/unlocking (gear grind) when locking/unlocking the car. This was something my husband asked about but was told it was normal. Unfortunately, however it is not normal and it is actually a failing fuel lid actuator that we will need to replace as well. A few other issues have included tire sensor and display screen connectivity issues. I know what you are thinking... you bought a used car, expect issues. Yes, yes I know. This is just a warning for due diligence, as I'm not sure what type of service checks are done before these vehicles are listed. Lastly, the only other issue is the "I Owe, You Owe" contract. This was something we were asked to sign with the promise that the dealership would provide us a second key to our vehicle within 30 days. I made multiple requests regarding this, with the last 3 requests being within the last week of that 30 day contract. On the two occasions that I spoke with Max, who had also signed the "I Owe, You Owe" contract, he had told me he had been too busy over the last few weeks to call about a second key, but would get it taken care of. This is frustrating as I guarantee if we had "owed" something, and didn't follow up within 30 days, this dealership wouldn't have taken that lightly. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Good luck with your used car buying search.

I was told they don't have a loaner to offer, they don't know what's wrong with the vehicle or when it will be ready. Then I got your standard we don't even have to help speech as if i should be grateful they are trying to help with this might be piece of shit they sold me. Im definitely looking int speaking with an attorney depending on what happens moving forward. I've had his happen in the past & was able to come to terms & can only hope Im able to do the same with them. They also took in my trade in saying the miles had been messed with and they can't sell the vehicle so they were only going to offer 2000 on the trade in, only to see they indeed are selling the vehicle. Il provide an update meanwhile i'm goin to seek legal advice and file a complaint with the IL attorney general. I recommend everyone document all issues you have with your vehicle if you notice and send all issues in writing to the dealer and keep copies for yourself. Lemon law rarely applies to used cars but there still are ways you jsjt need to do a very thorough check history on the car what they serviced, and what was clearly lied about. There's always inconsistencies in paperwork and stories, also document whom you spoke to when and what was said. Good luck and buyer beware! UPDATE not even 3 months in engine issue. I'm currently speaking to a contingency based lawyer, after explaining my situation, providing some documentation, I was told i might just have a case. I've spoke to two attorney from this firm and am waiting for call back with another to find out if we can move forward. From 3 days in i've had multiple issues with the vehicle and heard every excuse under the sky. Will post an update for those trying to reach out, kindly email me at hendrixvivian8@gmail.com
