They were responsive to my questions via text or phone throughout the process. When I picked him up, the foster parents were there so there was an opportunity to hear see first hand how loved he had been. I waited a long time to adopt another dog, taking into consideration the high cost of vets, food, insurance, and reputable sitters. He I stretched my budget , but I was prepared, and he is worth his weight in gold. I had not adopted in years, but they were very transparent about the costs involved in the process. They indicated they would take $50 off the bill with proof of neutering, which they did. I was surprised by a couple of negative reviews I saw. The PawSafe Alumni Facebook group is very active. There are hundreds of very happy dogs and owners. We're like a family. I know people often write only when they have negative experiences and the rest of us do not, but I had to weigh in. Dogs everywhere deserve to be rescued. Do not be discouraged!

We found the process extensive which is better than just giving dog away so we were ok with this…read more Our problem is that they listed the dog being in not only the same state as us but also the same town as we lived in. Once selected to be able to adopt we were then told our dog was in another state and two hours away from us. Which we did go ahead and adopt but found that all the vaccines were done in an order that made them no longer affective so we had to do all vaccines ourselves. It also seemed to be listed as if our dog had been micro chipped but he was not. Also seems weird that they had several puppies rescued at the same time but didn't know who the mother was which makes me nervous that this could potentially be a dog mill rescue. I also had another friend try and adopt a sibling of our dog where a date and time was set up for the zoom home inspection only to have the person never call for the zoom and never again contacted to reschedule. When my friend asked about this they were told another family had adopted the dog. This seems wrong to do this to someone who took the tone off from work to do a home inspection only to never be contacted to say this had been canceled. This was not even the first step he had already got three references interviewed and and an over the phone interview and vet contacted from previous dogs history and was now just waiting to have the home inspection thru a zoom call never be call again until he reached out to the rescue to see why no one had contacted him at the set time to be then told the dog had been adopted by someone else. This was heartbreaking not only to the guy apply for the dog but to me as someone who had referred him to this company to only have this happen. We lived close by and could have had sibling doggy play dates. Very disappointed.

We could not be happier with our experience with Anne and BlackBriar Bernedoodles…read more From the very beginning, it was clear how much love, care, and devotion Anne gives her puppies. We brought Baci Blu home at eight weeks old, and we have been amazed by how sweet, confident, curious, and intelligent she is. We have only had Baci for four days, and she is already settling beautifully into her new life. She is sleeping well in her crate, exploring new places with confidence, and becoming completely comfortable in our home. She has already learned come, sit, down, and roll, and is working on a wave. We are amazed by how quickly she learns. What has impressed us most is the foundation Anne gave her. Baci came to us having been loved, handled, socialized, and raised with such thoughtful attention to both her physical and emotional well-being. Anne also took the time to share Baci's food, routines, personality, and everything that would help make her transition easier. Choosing a breeder is such an important decision, and we feel incredibly fortunate that we found Anne. She genuinely loves these puppies, and it shows in the beautiful little girl we brought home. Thank you, Anne, for trusting us with Baci. We already love her so much. Ro & Lisa Boston

I contacted Anne approximately 6 months prior to the time I wanted to get a bernedoodle pup. She…read morewas very responsive to email, sent pictures of previous litters and answered some of my questions. Before fully committing and giving my deposit I had a wonderful phone conversation with Anne. Once my deposit was received communication became almost non existent. In our previous conversations she stated that she would keep me posted on the pups arrival as well as growth/progress. This was also stated in the contract I signed. I sent multiple emails and phone calls that went unanswered. Only after multiple attempts to get in touch with Anne did I receive the bare minimum of information. I only ever received two group pictures of the pups once they were born. A few weeks prior to the go home date I became concerned as I had not picked out a pup yet. Finally two weeks prior to our pick up date Anne reached out to tell me this litter of pups was projecting to be 2-3x the size that was anticipated (I was looking to get a mini). I was also disheartened to learn that all the males except one was already spoken for. Anne never told me where I was on the list but said she helps each person pick a puppy. Ultimately, I decided to forgo my deposit. I felt that Anne was breeding too many dogs at once and had too many puppies to really make her facility ethical. I feel that she was too busy with all the puppies in her care to allow her the communication with the buyers that is necessary when adopting a puppy, especially seeing how expensive her dogs are. I would be very cautious getting a pup from Anne. I was thoroughly disappointed in the process and would not get a puppy from black briar bernedoodles.

I know we felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do as we had tried everything. After Baloo's assessment it was decided that he would benefit from the six week board and train program. We also had weekly sessions where we came to V3's clean facility and trained with Baloo. Jeremy was very patient, knowledgeable, and understanding of our situation. The training that Baloo received was structured, and focused on building trust and confidence. We've seen a huge improvement in Baloo's behavior and feel much more confident managing situations that used to be stressful. If you have a dog with aggression issues and need someone experienced, calm, and professional, I highly recommend their services.
