Countryside Veterinary Clinic - Right when we walked in to the first door of the clinic on the left. This shows how little respect the place has for our pets.

I only waited three weeks for an appointment as a new client. The clinic has evening hours on Monday and Tuesday, which makes it very convenient for working pet owners. The waiting room was occupied, but not crowded. People were issued into the exam rooms in rhythm that demonstrated the office knew how to schedule for the various needs without getting too backed up. Although we arrived a little bit early, we did not have to wait a lengthy period of time for our turn. For a first visit, I was impressed with the efficiency yet gentle manner of the veterinarian. Bandit received one of his vaccinations and a microchip. He was pronounced in excellent health. I look forward to this being our go to clinic for our cat.

We will never be back. Ladies at the front desk are rude and not interested in the pets. We watched…read morecustomers try to make jokes with them and they seem rude and miserable. 2.5 weeks ago we asked for our 7 month old German Shepard to get x-rays for his hips because he has been hopping like a bunny and seems a little uncomfortable. When we made this appointment I confirmed we would absolutely be doing x-rays that day and we would not just be coming in for a visit. They said yes. We had to wait 2.5 weeks to get this done. We showed up and walked in- inside the first door there were nails all laid out on the windowsill, where our dog could reach and boxes. Walls were covered with stains of dirt, floors were dirty. (Seems inappropriate seeing how pets are coming in - if you care about my pet wouldn't you want to keep him safe and clean ?) we went in to see the vet and he told us if we are to do x-rays he needs to be sedated and needs to fast for the X-ray. I asked why we didn't get a call about this so we could do it today. He said he didn't see the visit until this morning - I again asked, why did we not get a call ? He had no explanation. If our German Shepard has hip dysplasia, time is super important for him - he needs to get an X-ray early since he's still growing. The vet knew this. Also, our dog shouldn't need to immediately be sedated without trying to get an x ray without first. Do you not have the man power to hold him still in the x ray? Because that's not safe. We ended up finding a vet that held him and he did not need sedation. We were disgusted. A total waste of time for us and the health of our dog. We told the vet that there were nails sitting out on the windowsill, like the front desk people, he had a flat affect and didn't care. Horrible.

You tell me that not only are you going to perform an entire exam*,do blood work*, perform unnecessary painful x-rays*, and who knows what else you're doing or NOT doing because I am not there with her, but you will absolutely not allow me to come in to hold her while you euthanize her.....ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??????!!!!!!! She is my daughter and there is no reason for you to do any thing other than let these poor babies have their last moments in the hands of their loved ones!!! I went directly to Franklin and I had absolutely no issue with going in and holding my baby the entire time and staying with her for I don't know how long. It was so difficult to leave her. You are supposed to UNDERSTAND that they are our FAMILY MEMBERS!! Where the heck is the compassion and empathy for the loss of a family member? Dr. Sandler is rude and extremely mean towards the animals and I have on several occasions heard her screaming at the dogs in the kennels to "shut up" like that's going to make a difference. Then she will go in and kick the cages. She is rough with the animals. Dr. Susan Adams-Conley, I'm afraid that you're going to lose your business if you don't replace that nasty woman!!! I can not recommend anyone who is looking for a veterinarian to go to you for the reasons I mentioned above. Your facility also is in desperate need of a major makeover. I have always had a really great experience with Dr. Adams-Conley. I also have to say that your prices are actually really high compared to what the other veterinarians are charging. *All you want is MONEY!!

My 16 year old cat had several chronic conditions and had been throwing up every seventy two hours…read morefor 9 months. My vet was not cooperative and I seemed to have to justify the decision to put my cat down to her when she could not give me options for treatment or even a diagnosis. Frustrated, I called Lap of Love. They were such a relief. The first time I called the woman who answered was very kind and compassionate. But I chickened out and didn't actually make an appointment. My cat then had a scary incident that made me convinced that I had to do this and I called back. The man who answered was great and got me an appointment within 3 days. I didn't have to justify the decision. I didn't have to get records and PROVE I had a basis for the decision. They did ask for the cat's vet but I am unsure if they called them. I am a little different and I did not want to be around during the procedure. My cat is not the type to be comforted by me. I worried that might be a problem. But it wasn't. The doctor called me before the appointment and told me she was coming and she was on time (very important when you have spent three days just trying to keep your nerve) and kind. I was allowed to step out of my home (I had worried she might tell me I couldn't do that due to liability issues of leaving her alone in the house) and she came and got me when done. She left me a paw print cast of my cat and a locke of hair. Thank god for this service. No one wants to do this but it was a relief not to have to fight for the service when you are using all your strength and backbone to make the decision in the first place.
