It is very unfortunate that I have to write this review. My dog has only been to this vet a handful of times as she is only a puppy and all of my experiences have been great thus far. Except for my most recent experience which is unacceptable. I pulled a tick off my dog about two weeks ago. It was pretty large and being a first time dog owner I wasn't sure if I removed it properly or followed the right procedure. The following day I called dewitts immediately. I told them there was a large lump on her neck where I pulled the tick and I wasn't sure if I removed it all or properly. I was very concerned. They assured me over the phone I had nothing to worry about and it would heal on its own and it's normal. A few days later the bump had not decreased in size whatsoever so I started researching. After a few days it should have started to go down but it hadn't. I called dewitts a second time. I told them I was nervous that something wasn't right and wanted to know what I could do. Again, they told me not to worry and it was normal and to just let it be. One week went by and the lump is larger and turned into a scab. I walked into the facility and asked if anyone could take a look at my dog because I think something is not right. They said "we are booked today". They also told me "this will heal on its own and could take 7 weeks". Understandable, I wasn't expecting to be seen right away with no appointment but I thought maybe I could make a future appointment. It has now been about 10 days. The scab ripped open and has been a bloody open wound for 24 hours. I called again for my final time. I said to the receptionist I think my dog has an infection from the tick bite. I was told "we are only taking emergency appointments right now". (Due to coronavirus) I could not wait any longer. I called around to local vets to see if someone could see her. I was seen that day by a different vet. Sure enough, my dog has an infection from the tick bite. She is on antibiotics for 12 days. This is extremely disappointing and I know times are stressful with the coronavirus right now but if you don't plan on continuing to treat our pets as normal then you should just close the doors until this all goes away. Maybe I should have pushed harder and been more adamant about being seen but I just trusted they knew better than me and maybe I was paranoid. I will not be returning to this vet. I feel when I needed you most you let me down. I am not one to leave bad reviews but I searched the website for an email or contact and could not find one. I just hope this is useful and can prevent it from happening to someone else.

I cannot thank DeWitt Animal Hospital enough. My border collie broke his nail and his normal vet could not fit him in. I called multiple places because he was in a lot of pain and I was concerned about infection. They also didn't have room for an appointment, but told us to come down anyway. They took him right and bandaged him up and sent him home with antibiotics. Such a relief. Again, a huge thank you!

What have you done to my stinky teeth!

From the initial call to the home visit, I couldn't recommend this service enough. They helped us through a hard time and it was perfect, even as we were scrambling to find someone the same day. I called Lap of Love early in the morning on a Saturday, and they had an opening on Monday as well as an off-hours visit that evening due to a cancellation. As much as I wanted to put this off, I knew that I couldn't do that to my best fluffy guy and reserved that night's appointment. Dr. Kim (Smith) arrived just before 8pm, and after greeting my sweet boy she sat on the floor with him and explained the process, what he would feel (nothing after the needle itself) and asked if I had any more questions. My sweet boy left a while later with her - bundled up with one of his squeaky toys - and as I watched them drive away, I realized that in 14 years I had never seen him driving away from me. It was an awful feeling, but Dr. Kim's kindness made me feel better about making that phone call earlier in the day. She emailed me the following morning to see how I was doing, and reminded me that she and everyone at Lap of Love were there if I needed to speak with them.

However, when my husband and I changed jobs, we need a place with longer hours to accommodate our commute. We brought him to Petworks and it's the greatest. You can tell that everyone here is incredibly passionate about the animals who come here. The owner, Stephen, is an amazing guy. Actually everyone there is pretty amazing. We were "those customers"--our dog as our little fur baby, so we're needy and worrisome and the type of customer most would rolls their eyes at. We never felt as though they were burdened. Quite the opposite, they cared for my dog the way I personally would, and for that I owe them the world. It's great to have that peace of mind. Additionally, my dog is an Australian Shepherd, so he's incredibly energetic and quite difficult to tire out. Every day he'd come home happily pooped, and every morning he'd pull his way in to see all of his daycare friends. Our dog was also groomed here on several occasions, and he's challenging to wash and cut (he isn't a fan of baths and he is a giant fluff ball with a lot of fur), and they did an amazing job. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough, and for me that's rare. There is 1 review on here from years ago claiming her dog caught kennel cough, but Petworks requires you have your dog immunized for kennel cough, so I would take that with a grain of salt. To everyone at Petworks, thank you for the 200+ times you took care of my Yawkey (yes, I sat down and actually did the math). Anyone who's lucky enough to live within close proximity to Petworks, bring your dog here! You won't regret it.

It looked like Edward Scissorhands went to work on him... but not the good part of the movie where he does a good job, the part where he goes psycho and destroys his work. My daschaund spent 8 hours locked up inside of a cage and then the lady had the audacity to berate me and tell me what a terrible dog I had. This was my poor puppies first time being groomed and she treated him nothing more than a piece of meat. Now let's go to the part where she cut my dog, this woman literally cut my dog and it got infected to the point I had to take him to the vet. I hope this company goes out of business I believe it would be in all our animals best interests if this place went belly up. I still can't believe a full grown woman couldn't handle my 12 pound daschaund, I think she should quit and start giving haircuts to people for their closed caskets, that way Noone can see this hack job whack job

Pampered Paws in North Attleboro, MA has not only lost my business but also my respect…read more I booked my appointment online, received 2 confirmation emails, and was told over the phone that they would call the vet to confirm my dog's vaccinations. After dropping my dog off at 9am, I received a phone call at 10:45 from the owner Caren, sounding very bothered, saying that she had just arrived and my appointment had never been confirmed, that they had no proof of my dog's vaccinations, and my dog had to be picked up immediately. I showed up at the facility with proof of vaccination and confirmation emails in hand. I was greeted by Caren who was rude and less than willing to help figure out where the miscommunication arose. I asked why I was not asked for confirmation or proof of vaccination at 9am when I dropped my dog off, and instead 2 hours later. I would have been understanding of this miscommunication at 9am and looked to book another appointment had it been before I left my dog. Caren explained that she had a rough morning with her kids, so her employee was likely trying to help her out by not bothering her -- clearly not understanding it had resulted in my 13 year old dog sitting there for 2 hours without being touched. Caren rudely went on to say that the website says you need to get a call from her to confirm the appointment, the emails don't count. Caren is very contradicting and her website says that you need to wait for a call to confirm your appointment but also says that you, the customer, need to call/text to confirm. Don't forget they send confirmation emails which apparently mean nothing. The website also says to attach proof of vaccination while their employees say over the phone that they will handle that. Don't even bother trying to call the place, you'll likely never get through to a real person. Caren went on to say my dog was too old to try and squeeze in. She showed no sympathy or understanding of how her lack of clarity online and on the phone wasted my morning and caused my dog stress.
