It started to get dark and was very cold and rainy. No one local responded to a roadside assistance bidding call. These people drove quite a distance to get to me, and were 100% kind and gracious. They were professional and knowledgeable, but more than that, they clearly viewed me as a person more than just a job. They were down-to-earth, warm, calm, and capable, and they tried various things until the situation was resolved. Important context, I am a mid-twenties girl traveling alone. I called Budget Towing & in less than an hour they arrived to give me a tow. Alan, the tower, explained everything he was doing, which added reassurance. He asked which place I wanted my car towed to, and instead, he suggested I take it to the shop he worked at. He didn't want me to get taken advantage of because of my demographic. I rode with him on the way to the shop and told him my situation. It was after 5:00 pm so many places weren't open, but Alan called around and was able to find the parts I needed. He said he was going to have the mechanics look at it right way in the morning. Alan not only helped me find a hotel that would be safe for me to stay at, but offered to give me a ride to the hotel and pick me up the next day. The following day, Alan picked me up from the hotel and let me stay in the office of the shop. They were beyond kind, offering a drink while I waited. They suggested additional fixes, but they were needed for my safety and they explained in layman's terms the fixes' importance. I knew I was in good hands. They were upfront about the price of the fix, and why. They worked with me on the payment and were more than understanding. Less than 12 hours after when my vehicle broke down I was on the road again. An experience like this could've been horrendous, but the crew at Budget Towing saved the day. Approximately 9 months ago I lost the ball joint to my car. I selected Downtown Autoplex because…read morethey offered free towing if they did repairs. Repairs took approximately a week. The work paid for was: New ball joint, full set of brakes, and alignment parts. I was charged approximately $1,000.00 which included towing that should have been free. They tried to sell me other items that my car did not need. After pick up my car had steering problems but they could never find time to get my car in. Recently my rear axle started smoking. I took my car to another mechanic and he found the following: the rear break had never been repaired as they still had the original factory parts, the rear bearings had wore out because of the pressure from the brakes, and the rear axle had to be replaced. Also, the ball joint that was replaced was put in incorrectly and was only holding by the weight of the car. These repairs are going to cost us another $1,000.00 to repair what should've been fixed the first time. I don't recommend Downtown Autoplex of Enid to anyone. They are dishonest, lied about work that was done, lied about free towing, and the work that was done was shotty at best. I filed a report with The Better Business Bureau of which they currently have an "F" rating. They're crooks! Consumer beware.

After telling him I'm new to town and don't really know of a good tow service, he gave me the number of Mid-America towing (they were fantastic, too) and said he'd just add the tow charge onto our bill. Right after lunch, he called me back. Problem was found and fixed, and the car was ready to be picked up! He's fast, friendly, and willing to help. Only downfalls I've found are that he DOES NOT accept credit cards (meaning I have to wait two days for a check to arrive in the mail before I can pick the car up) and doesn't have a fax machine (so he's unable to fax over to the controller an invoice).

It also came with all these horribly designed drawers on the center console. I finished from the gym and put my military ID on top of the drawer and poof! It disappeared just like that.
