    Franklin Square Fountain.

This is a quaint little square that offers restaurants, shopping, bars and more. Parking is never an issue in Franklin Square. There is a very large lot where you can always find a place to park. The square is a great place to spend any time of day. MORNING: Every Saturday morning there is a great farmers market with live music that is right next to the square. There is always great food to buy and excellent fresh produce. They close down the whole block for this weekly event so it is definitely worth going to. AFTERNOON: This is a great place to go for lunch. The square offers Japanese (Hatch0) , Thai (Jasmine) and Italian food (Mio Vicino). There is also a little boutique (IBISS) that you can go shopping at when you are done with your delicious meal. It's also a great place to go run errands. You can go to the post office or get your dry cleaning done. NIGHT: The same restaurants where you can have lunch are also open for dinner. After dinner if you don't feel like going home just yet you have a choice of two dive bars that can be pretty fun (DaSilva's Bronco's, formerly and still lovingly referred to as "The Claran," and Blinky's). Both offer different events on different nights. You might stumble upon a karaoke night, DJ or a live band. The bars also offer pool, darts and other fun bar games. On most nights the bars will be pretty empty except for a few locals or possible some weary law students searching for a brief respite away from their dreary law books (me included). On other nights the bars may be completely full of SCU undergrads. It all depends on the day, time and the event that night. All in all this is a great place to spend some time.

It's located off of Coleman Ave and the 880 freweay. About a 5 min drive from downtown SJ (San Pedro Square) and 5 min away from PayPal park. Convenient parking! Sometimes I like to just linger and relax in my car after doing some shopping at Target and Marshall's . While sipping on a cold beverage. On a sunny day, the flight path is right above this shopping center and it's really neat to see airplanes flying over on their way to the San Jose Airport. Great area to buy essentials, groceries, and have a quick bite to eat.

Your security think customers are stupid. Over explaining things and saying that the Owner doesnt want people with drinks and food outside of the venue. Instead of stopping local people from bringing in a drink from establishments in the same block, they should be actually doing something to keep people safe. This is an idiotic policy that does nothing but stop people from spending money. I'm not interested in coming here anymore because of it. In this economy you should be doing better. You just lost me as a customer and I will not recommend this place to anyone. Avoid this venue if you have outside drinks and food they will just give you a hassle over it. They make you take it to your car and reiterate the same bs policy. It's not worth it!

I think she was trying to rally random passerby-ys into yelling at him with her but people in their right sense of mind wouldn't. If that is an indicator of the regular clientele that goes here, then I'd rather not go here at ALL lol. We were here during the holiday season and wanted to see the decorations and shops but after that and maybe a quick walk around we left ASAP. If I had to compare and describe this place, I'd say it's like a worse downtown Pasadena with less things to do and look at.

I think the current shops and restaurants are some of the best I've seen. There are a few boutiques going out of business at the moment, but hopefully they won't stay vacant long. I haven't tried any of the higher-end restaurants like The Table or Black Sheep Brasserie yet, but I do enjoy Aqui Cal Mex, Willow Street Pizza, and Taiwan Restaurant to name a few. Some of my favorite shops are Mariette Chocolates, Hicklebees independent book store, and Footwear, Etc. My chiropractor and massage therapist also have offices there. I find it relaxing to spend a couple hours browsing the shops and having lunch. Plus it feels good to support small local businesses.
