View from the upstairs balcony

Concert venue with general admission tickets- no stadium type seating. There is seating you will be able to grab if you purchase tickets for that area along the railing upstairs in the balcony bar area. This was not a negative. The crowd was great. The bar service was fast even though lines were long. There is a parking lot. ($25 for the night). The lot is not large so I'd recommend going early, park, grab a bite to eat nearby before the show. This type of venue is my preferred type over larger venues. Loved it.

we saw hayley williams on 4/6. CSC staff was amazing and made the show so much more enjoyable! they were great and took care of everything for us. specifically Eric and Michele, they were so kind and supportive to fans and helped make sure the fan line was honored. they totally elevated the experience! michele stood outside in the cold all day the day of the show to help manage the fan line, and to make sure everyone was safe. she was so kind and funny! Eric helped manage the crowd at the barricade, passed out waters to everyone, and made sure nobody was shoved around. thank you so much again for making our night perfect!!!

The last time I was here was maybe 7 + years ago ... and it was still the electric factory. Actually upon booking this concert I was like what is Franklin music hall. Literally nothing is different aside from the sign and the fact that they painted the bathrooms. Otherwise it's all the same. I don't think this is a bad venue at all in fact I like it a lot more than some of the other Philly venues. We tried to get a seat up front but couldn't. I definitely feel like they had opportunity to add more seating particularly in the riser section but didn't. They have a cost check and spaces for merch. They also had a little snack stand / kitchen. The prices were not terrible. It was a little odd that they sold popcorn in ziploc bags but popcorn is popcorn I guess. For the most part there was ample staff and they were nice. Our ids got checked outside to speed up the process inside. There is a metal detector inside but you can bring a bag and it just has to be under a backpack size, which was nice! There is parking right in front, I believe it was $25. Otherwise there are a few other lots around. All in all not a bad experience, like I said I didn't notice many changes but I would go back!

3 1/2 stars. Sounds quality is ok, not great. However, views are superior from most parts of the floor and the 2nd floor bar area. Food is low quality and limited options. Decent beer and beverages options. Prices are a bit high. Entry point is confusing. The doors at the address are not the entry point. You enter through the parking lot area.

First time at this venue, and it was impressive. Got there early so were not too far back in the entry line, and staff was helpful and came through before doors opened to check IDs and provide hand-stamps for those who could drink. Sound system was great, the prices on drinks were about what you would expect in the area. It got VERY packed, so it was tough to move from your spot and hope to get back, but again, any general admission concert venue is like that.

The sound quality was decent. The area for people to enjoy the music was just way to crowded and being on the shorter side in the way back behind a lot of tall people wasn't enjoyable. It was very crowded and early sept it was hot, half the fans were not on. The food selection was horrible (candy, popcorn, cookie and pizza) all overpriced; water $4.50. The balcony area would have nice to view from but again just to crowded. I heard 3000 tickets sold and this venue is for around 1500 people. The staff were nice. Parking was downright horrible. Closest parking garage was 1 mile away - went with a parking garage for safety reasons and the walk in center Philly / back ally's SKETCHY. Deff will not be back to this venue unless I show up super early to get a balcony seat.

The absolute worst concert venue. Maybe sell half as many tickets. Too many other great places to enjoy live music in Philadelphia.

The floor is too hard. My feet hurt, it's hot in here. I wish I was at home playing video games.

How do you get into the upper section?

At most shows the upstairs balcony is for ages 21+. And like the rest of the venue, all seating is first-come first-served. When you walk in to the venue, you can take the stairs to your right, or continue walking around to the right and take the… Read more

This was a GA (General Admission) concert that I attended. I always give it up to people who can…read morestand for an entire show and because I really wanted to see Bob Moses and Cannons, I decided to give this type of experience a try for the first time. GA shows are not easy to attend because chances are, you will run into a more rowdier crowd. Here is how I prepared myself the day of to ease some of my anxiety: - Go early to secure a good spot to stand at. - Drink lots of water before going. You don't want to lose your space by going to the restroom. Expect to stand for 4+ hours. - Eat a good meal, you don't want to faint. - Wear comfortable shoes. We left on a Friday night from New Jersey to Philly during rush hour in mad traffic. Got to the venue 20 minutes before the show started and I was so surprised to get a spot in the first row in front of the stage. I was like...no wayyyy!!! Acoustic here transmitted pitch perfectly. My videos do not do it justice. The sound was incredible. I think I danced every second of every moment. We really lucked out with some of the nicest people around us. While dancing at one point, a girl tapped me on the shoulder and said..."you're like the only one dancing and I think that's awesome that you're not afraid to do so". I replied, it's frickin Bob Moses, how can you not dance? Loved that I got to dance with a couple of the wild girls standing near me. Lol. Staff here are extremely friendly. One of the security guards below the stage was nice enough to ask if I wanted any water. There are a few bar areas for alcoholic drinks and small bites. Highly recommend this cool a$$ venue. It was standing room only for this show but seats were available for an extra $200 in the upper mezzanine, first come first serve. Restrooms: clean and plenty of stalls. Note: River Casino across the street offers free parking. We got to grab a bite to eat there afterwards.

Okay. This place was the place to be BEFORE the renovation and now....its a total vibe! I didn't…read morethink it could get any better. I am by no means an edm/house music kind of person and that's what they played on every floor but I found myself jamming and feeling free. The amount of space there now is, is awesome as you don't feel overstimulated by the crowd. The fact that there's an outdoor area for people to smoke/just get some fresh air without having to leave the venue was something I didn't think I'd love so much. Absolutely would recommend this for everyone to take their friends out for a night out One thing to note - it was ticketed to get in and was $17 but I'm not sure if this is a thing that happens often

The Barbary reopened!…read more It's aight. I feel like I might be having my "old man shakes fist at cloud" moment: the place is clean. The numerous toilets and sinks all work. There's not a single bumper sticker or graffito to be seen. And drinks are still 2025 cheap... I think. But the inside is just kinda all black and neon... like "hey, we're cyberpunk now." Barbary, you were already cyberpunk when you were just regular punk existing at the edge of technological apocalypse, bro. Cyberpunk is crusty and biohacky, but I don't even know if that's what you're going for. Anyway, the place is nice. It even has what looks like a little bottle service area. I think back in the 2010s Barbary, the closest thing to bottle service would have been the dancing proletariat seizing the means of drunkenness from the owners and sharing cheap tequila amongst the people. And that's what I miss the most. Did the Barbary lose the jank and lack of maintenance money that made it an institution, or am I just old? The answer is yes.
