The state trooper that was at the accident said that we would not be able to take our trailer back to our yard and that the towing company would have to take it. We argued and said that we could take it because it was not damaged, and we had brought another semi to take it home with. He would not let us and said we would need to call a towing company to get our truck and trailer. So, we called our towing company to come pick it up for us and the State Trooper said to cancel it, that he had just called another towing company. Which happened to be A Automotive and Truck. They have been down our throats since the accident about coming to get our trailer, even though it is out of our hands now and in the hands of insurance. They have harassed us AND insurance over the phone. Lloyd does not understand that insurance takes time to go through and cannot just throw out money to people and companies. He has yelled over the phone to us and charged our driver $450 to come onto the premises DURING HOURS. They have also charged us $400 per day for every day that the truck and trailer is there. Which is really high compared to most towing companies that charge between $100-$200 per day. The bill for our totaled truck right now is about $12,000 and our trailer tow bill is about $13,000. Which is crazy because the trailer wasn't even damaged. Overall A Automotive and Truck have been terrible to deal with and I would not recommend them to ANYONE that has a wreck because they will harass you and overcharge you.

He came to us and said he'd go grab a tire and come back. Mind you, this was a Sunday and it was in the middle of thunderstorm...and he was closed! To set the stage, I am a full time Traveler in a School bus conversion. Two weeks ago I called in with a question regarding my air tanks, the service manager helped me right on the phone, it was simple and he spent about 30 min answering random questions I had. About 5 days later, I decided to bring my bus in for some preventative maintenance and 4 cables to release condensation in my air tanks. I was here for about 6 hours, but it was smooth as butter and they have a GREAT spacious lounge with WiFi, tv, and recliners for comfort. The next day I took off on my travels. I ended up puncturing a hole in my transmission pan about 90 miles away. I was panicked as I am traveling alone. I dialed the service manager and not only did he calm me down, he told me it is fixable (expensive but fixable), he also did a quick search for mechanics in that location. I said no, I will have it towed to you. Once it was towed and assessed, and the parts came in (5 days) the work was completed within two days (it was quite the job). The mechanic answered the many questions I had and the service manager went above and beyond to make me comfortable and safe. I was allowed to stay at the shop for a week (as my RV is self sufficient), the service manager took me to grab groceries and offered to take me anywhere else I needed to go. The other members of staff were quiet and kept to themselves while I worked. I was safe and not judged for a road hazard I could not see. I could not recommend Diesel Power Truck Center or Will any more if I tried. I was kept in the loop, I was warned of a timeline (2 weeks, ended up being 8 days), and I was kept informed of costs. Which I think we can all appreciate. Honesty, integrity, and even a good few laughs to pass the time.

I noticed a noise in my engine and shortly after the A/C went out in my 2004 H2 Hummer. I looked at the engine to find my A/C belt was off and bound up. At ~2 pm on a Thursday, I found Gerard's Automotive Shop and hoped for the best as I was 2 hours from home with work at 8 am the next day and unsure how safe it was to continue driving. They were busy servicing many customers. I asked for help, and I was politely told they were backed up but would take a look in ~45 minutes. ~30 minutes later they took that look and quickly found that the tensioner had gone bad on my A/C unit which caused my belt to slip and bind. Within 2 hours I was taken care of for less than $200. Furthermore, they identified an oil leak, took pics, and sent them to me. The owner chatted with me and my son, gave us cold water and a cookie while we waited. How long has it been in your life since you had such great service as a non-existing client/customer? It's been quite some time for me. I can't thank these guys enough as they not only saved me a ton of time, worries and money, I now know when I travel from Atlanta suburbia for a Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino run, I have a trusty mechanic close by when/if I need it. From the moment I called until I picked up my car, I had a great experience with Gerard's. I initially spoke with Frank and then Brian took care of me throughout the process. You can tell that they value their work even down to the waiting area inside the shop. There were freshly baked cookies and everything was very neat and clean. I feel like you don't often see that in automotive shops. They accommodated me quickly and were able to solve the problem with my trunk and I am so happy that's it's fixed.
