Great mechanics and professional care! You should use Franklin Auto Service if you have any car troubles

They were friendly. However, they charged me $165 just to diagnose the problem with my car. Then they tried to charge me $775 (including the $165) to fix the problem. I left. I went to another mechanic who charged me $350 to fix the same issue. The other mechanic diagnosed the problem with my description of the issue and wouldn't have charged me $165 for the diagnoses. I'm not sure why there was such a price discrepancy. Perhaps they tried to scam me (as I'm not a car person and I don't know better) or their prices are simply outrageous. I called to make an appointment to get suburban, checked out, and was told they don't make appointment, it's 1st come 1st serve , nd they open at 5 I'm here at 7:30 and waited for staff. 8 am comes , I go in, and I am told they are backed up a couple of days ... and can't promise when they can get to look at the truck. My time is wasted. I could have been 1st at another shop. I should have been told that we aren't able to take you for a couple of days. This is where appointments would help. Not come in every day, and hopefully, we will have an opening.... but maybe 5 guys that drop their car off the night before at closing will be before you. Smh read more

Brought my truck here because I was informed that they rebuilt transmissions on the property. Got new transmission. within four months my transmission crapped out. Almost two months for warranty work and I am told they are at the mercy of the warranty company and are waiting for a replacement. I do not want to hear your at the mercy of another company. I am in business with my truck! Out of business without it! call and complain, get hung up on!!!! read more

Called asking for help because I've seen it done before by my father in law but I've never done it myself. I have the part for my low beam headlight to be replaced and this place tried charging me $99 just for labor to put it in. I went home and watched a few YouTube videos and I installed the headlight bulb perfectly myself in under 5 minutes. They were also very rude about it when I told them I knew it only took a few minutes to do, and the guy laughed and said it's not easy to do....just trying to deter me from trying myself cause he knew it was a job for an amateur. Anyway I'm glad I found this out so I never take my car here for any more serious issues. $99 for 5 minutes of labor is a rip off and he knew it and was trying to slide one by me but I'm not falling for that crap. Customers beware of them ripping of people they think don't know what they are talking about. ESP women. Rude rude rude and con men trying to take advantage of peoples hard earned money. Atleast I saved myself $99 and hopefully others are aware of them doing this. read more

I am incredibly grateful to everyone at Franklin auto service. My lexus was 19 years old when I first took it in and it had been really poorly degraded and basically wasn't running much at all (rodent living in the engine area, transmission stuff messed up, no ac, radiator damaged bc of bend in car). Basically all these problems that racked up over the years that the other gas station mechanic we used to take the car too had always scammed us for doing absolutely nothing. So after not taking it to any shop for a while I decided to get it checked by these guys and decided to test it out and get only the absolute essential fixes needed to get the car running on a highway (EXTREMELY fair prices on everything no ripoffs). They rebuilt my entire engine in like 5 days and fixed up the car insanely well. I could not be happier, so I took it back to them a couple weeks later and got everything else fixed up including the AC and the car has driven me a total of 1200 miles in the past two days and is still in pristine condition. Pam is terrific I had bought a used car that had been serviced there in the past, had some issues and they warranted the work that they had previously done even though it was a different owner . They did a repair on my truck. Replaced the water pump and serpentine belt. My truck was in and out and I picked it up the next day. They do honest speedy work exactly what I expected. Wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else. Update: a year later my check engine light came on, I checked it and it said thermostat faulty. I had it replaced last year at franklin auto service. I called and Rudy replaced it again at no charge. Now a month later I'm leaking coolant from under the skid plate my f150 has 76k miles I think something isn't tight enough but I will hear what Rudy says tomorrow. read more

I needed an oil change today and every place was booked. So I called Franklin auto service and I spoke with Pam. She and Jayson helped me and I was out within 30 minutes. Their price was actually a bit cheaper than where I used to go. I recommend them to everyone. read more

Very good service. Was able to just drive up at 7:45 and get the oil changed at 8 am when the service techs arrived.

Very happy with service had oil change and they informed me of things that were wrong with my vehicle. they told me what was saftey and what could wait. Beware of FRANKLIN AUTO SERVICE I would think twice before bringing your vehicle to Franklin Auto Service, Franklin Rd, Franklin, MI. I used there services only cause they were close to where I live, definitly not for there price's. But they were local and conveinent and I was ok paying more for convenience. This was until I picked my car up from an oil change a few weeks ago. I dropped my vehicle off the night before, and after I paid the next day for the work I got to my car and noticed the front bumper was heavily damaged. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they told me that the damage was old, they had nothing to do with it, I assured them that I drive this car everyday and know that the damage wasnt there when I dropped the car off. His response was that I should bring the car to an autobody shop so they can tell me that the damage was old, and then he decided to point out minor scratches and imperfections in my car that I was totaly aware of, nothing to do with the bumper that was just smashed in. After assuring him he was wrong, My wife and I were 1000% sure that the damage was caused by them, they offered nothing. After driving down there three different times in one day in utter disgust of the situation and customer service, they finally admitted they damaged the car. YUP! it wasnt old damage as we told them 25times!! they drove the car into thier own wall!! There it was, white paint all over the knee wall in the garage where they crashed it. Still no apology, they then advised us to take it to a body shop and get an estimate. These people are unbelievable, they crash my car, lie about it, finally get caught and admit it, and then tell us to take more time and money out of our day to run around and get estimates. To sum it up, we did do all the leg work and yes they did end up paying for the damage, They never once gave any kind of apology, never a credit for the 65$ oil change (honda accord), Nothing from them. All we got was an atitude that they had to deal with this, and they were inconvenienced for damaging our car. I would think twice if you are thinking about getting any work done from this place. Ive never seen such poor customer service in my life, I'm still baffled by the whole thing. read more
