That is some serious shrimp fried rice YUM!!! Zoom in and see there is much more shrimp buried in the rice

Some of the best asian foodi I've ever tasted. Nice big tasty shrimp in the fried rice, fresh tasty sushi very well prepared Clean and cozy, Friendly helpful, knowledgeable staff; Unique decor that gives tribute to the previous long-time restaurant at that location Definitely coming back often

I saw that Frankie Sushi now does all you can eat buffet for lunch. I went by myself for lunch and wanted to try a few things! I was the only one there. It was cold. It was dark with the only light coming from the big bay window. The food was good, but I wouldn't eat the General tsos chicken again (,it was sweet, not spicy .. it just didn't seem right). The Rangoon was creamy and had enough crab in it. The spicy tuna roll was excellent! I would go back and try some more, maybe with a group so I wasnt so lonely ...

Always a great choice to stop in and get some traditional sushi and Japanese food. Restaurant is warm and inviting. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Many different items and specials to choose from. I have tried a lot of the rolls and like them all. The Rainbow roll is one of my favorites. I also really like the miso soup as well as the seaweed salad. Definitely come check them out and sit right at the bar and have some cold ones with your choices.

Left side - rainbow roll. Right side - shumai. I'd eaten two pieces off each plate before I took the picture!

First time here. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the shumai and a Rainbow Roll. The shumai came out quickly. I had one piece, and the sushi arrived. Both were fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable. The vibe is still Plank Road casual! Love that when I looked the place up online, Google assistant contacted them and secured my reservation!

Disappointed they got rid of their all-day specials, especially the sushi specials. Unfortunately, will order less from here.

We entered on a chilly late Sunday afternoon to an immediate and warm greeting with offer of hot sake and soup to warm up with which I gratefully accepted. The soup was a hearty chicken flavored broth with greens, tofu, and green onions, the sake piping hot only turning to warm towards the end of our meal. I picked the sushi appetizer which was 4 perfect sashimi we dug into and ate so quickly I was not able to share the beauty of them with a pic, my apologies. Very clean similar layout to the prior restaurant with some of the memorabilia from Frank's Plank Road Cafe, including a sign hung on the wall paying homage to what existed for so many years. For the main course I chose 3 sushi rolls and my dining partner the steak teriyaki. The rolls are made fresh and the ingredients were top notch freshest I've ever had. I tasted the steak teriyaki and found it to not be salty as most are and so tender it melted in my mouth it was on top of green peppers, carrots, and onions accompanied with a bowl of white rice. The Mexican sushi was flavorful with just the right amount of spice and tempura battered for crunch. Prices are very reasonable, good and service excellent no doubt we will return. Hurry and go before everyone finds them!!

The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. We got there at 2:25 and the said last order while be 2:40, to make sure we wanted to stay. We meant to get there at 2:05 but we had am unplanned bathroom break on our way from Buffalo. The food came out VERY FAST. I've never seen anything like it. Maybe we were the only ones still ordering but even so, very fast. A server writes down the order on a pad, no sheets to fill or tablets. She reminded us we would be charged for uneaten food but the kids assured us they could eat everything. Other than a mistake roll (I think we were given a rainbow instead of an eel) they demolished the food. The only thing that would make it better would be Inari. It's a staple for vegans and vegetarians, but I still came out ahead with my sweet potato tempura hand rolls, avocado hand rolls, seaweed sala, and miso soup. Everyone loved the French fries, which is not the norm for AYCE sushi. Kids also loved the chicken nuggets, shrimp tempura, crab Rangoon, yakisoba noodles, and steak hibachi. Steak looked freshly cooked and not overdone. The kids ordered 5 or 6 different rolls and liked them all. Cannot say enough about how lovely and gracious the staff was, even after closing when we were clearly cutting into their break before the dinner shift.

The fish on the nigiri is sliced very thinly and I'm not too surprised as it's AYCE but just keep in mind the ratio leans heavy on the rice. Sashimi is also NOT included in the AYCE price and I believe it's $1 or so per sashimi piece so they do try to fill you up with the sushi rice. I'm not really a roll person, I prefer nigri and raw fish for my sushi cravings. That being said, Akina is very affordable for AYCE The service is good, I don't think the wait is incredibly long. Usually we only wait about 20 mins or so. They do have high chairs and the bathrooms are clean. Parking is fine too, they're in a plaza so there is parking but sometimes it can get pretty full there. I would recommend eating at Akina if you're in the mood for AYCE sushi in Cuse.

Interior is cute, quiet and clean. They have karaoke downstairs. The tempura was good, light and fresh. The fried chicken wings - cheese were disappointing. I have ordered this type of chicken wing from other restaurants in the past and it is always a cheese type of powder the coats it. This was cheese melted on top, not even a sauce or powder,, and that does make a difference for the dish as it had no flavor. I have seen cheese melted on top of spicy wings before but this also was not that. It was disappointing especially for the price ($24.99). Overcooked and dry.

Glad I stayed. Despite its name, the sushi was so-so. Think of this place as a Korean restaurant. Almost all of the patrons were speaking Korean. The beef bibimbop in a stone bowl was great. The stone bowl was unusual in that it was very flat which created a better , I'm not sure what the right word in Korean is, crispy rice layer (what they call soccarrat with paella). They didn't serve much Banchan with it, I didn't notice they have Korean barbecue until I was leaving. That's what I get for being hasty

It's small but when I go I can always find a table. We like the hot tea, the milk tea, and the miso soup is very good. And the takeout is great too. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because in the last year or so I've noticed some popular rolls and dishes like chirashi and California rolls have been prepared ahead of time. They're very cold, right out of the fridge, like sushi from Wegmans. I'm sure they were made that day, and I get they're trying to save some time, especially for the labor-intensive chirashi, but you can't taste it as well when it's cold like that. So I recommend sticking with some of the special rolls. We had a couple of the new ones today after they revamped their menu and they were very good.

There is a parking lot nearby as well as some street parking, but it's something to keep in mind before your visit. I believe they offer an all-you-can-eat special for around $27.99 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays many menu items are half off. I visited on a Thursday and took full advantage of the half-off specials. I arrived about 40 minutes before closing, and as other guests left, I ended up being the only person in the restaurant. Honestly, it made for a great experience. The music was a fun mix of house music and R&B, and I found myself dancing in my seat while enjoying my meal. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. They checked on me when needed but also gave me space to relax and enjoy my food. The cook also came over and talked with me for a while and made some suggestions on what he thought I would like. Amazing ! Because everything was half off, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach! I ordered several different items and was completely full by my second plate. Most dishes come as small plates with two to four pieces, making it easy to try a variety of items. One of the coolest parts of the experience was the conveyor belt system. Once your food is prepared, it's sent down the conveyor belt to your seat. Since I was the only customer there, it was easy to know which dishes were mine. I'd be interested to see how it works during busier hours. I honestly can't remember everything I ordered, but I enjoyed almost all of it. My least favorite item was the sweet potato roll--it wasn't bad, just not my personal favorite. Everything else was fresh, flavorful, and worth trying. Overall, I had a really good time and will definitely be back, especially on a half-off day. Great food, great music, and a fun dining experience.
