Heard about this place from a coworker who is a regular here. I love a bargain--and interesting…read morestuff--so couldn't wait to go. My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon and had a blast wandering around, looking at all the "stuff" : shutters, doors, mantels, lighting fixtures, cabinets, moulding, tiles, and things like a church pew, stadium seating, gym lockers. I have mobility issues, so cannot stand/walk around for too long, but this is a place you could spend some significant time in (note to self: bring wheelchair next time). It's also a Pinterest-lover's dream. Ecobuilding Bargains has a fun Pinterest page, a great newsletter that highlights "hot items," and a website you can peruse. There are even featured videos of customers and what they've done with the things they've bought here. Very cool, interesting, and informative stuff. We've been back, of course. Each and every time, the employees are genuinely friendly, happy, and helpful. We love it here.

I'm not sure what's going on at Eco Bargains, but the store I started visiting 3 years ago has…read morereally changed and not for the better. It used to be when you came in they would display cool vintage appliances, stoves and even refrigerators sometimes. None of that today, just some new fiberglass tubs. I came here to find an old three-panel door. I was told by the greeter to go to the very back of the store. I walked past several full kitchen cabinet sets to enter what appeared to be a large unmarked extension of the store, albeit messier. There, I found four doors that were exactly what I was looking for. A less-than-polite young man approached me saying I couldn't be back here. They didn't mark the backroom entrance! Ok, put a sign out there buddy. I was later told the floor sign they displayed showing "Employees only" was removed so they could move some things around. Still that's no reason to be rude to customers! I proceeded to the door section. After looking for a while, I couldn't find what I needed. An older woman dressed in black volunteered to help. So I asked her specifically, did she have anymore of these 3-panel doors in the back room. To which, she said "If it's not out here we don't have it. We don't keep things in the back room." What a load, feigning helpfulness with the hopes I would take some of their old and beaten inventory off their hands. In the end, I couldn't justify purchasing anything off the floor. The stock was old, variety of stuff was way down, and helpfulness was nil. If you're looking for something special, go to your local ReStore. They'll be more polite, helpful, and they won't lie to your face and move you on like a piece of cattle. You might actually find what you're looking for.

We were fortunate to have 2 kitchens remodeled by KBH. Vonnie and her team are so knowledgeable and…read moreefficient. After shopping around they were the most reasonably priced. They stand by their product and follow through any time there was an issue. They truly want you to be happy with the results. Thank you for making it such a great experience!

The following two weeks Vonnie bought in her contractors and did up some great designs and gave us some wonderful ideas. After delaying our kitchen remodel for months due to a serious illness I looked forward to finally getting my kitchen done. About two weeks from the start we went into the showroom to review the plans and go over the final quote - We were so excited I can't even begin to describe the immense disappointment when Vonnie so very proudly presented us with a quote that was 25 % over our budget. I was in total shock. In shock not just by the ridiculous quote I was just given but for the condescending way she spoke to us in trying to justify her numbers. Further berating us and telling us how insulted she was when I demanded our 250.00 design fee returned to us "I'm insulted that you don't even think my time to put this beautiful design together for you is worth that fee, if you find someone to do your kitchen the way you want it for that amount of money it would be crap" Well Vonnie - we also were insulted for the way you deliberately misled us -insulted you wasted our time without any regard to the situation you were fully aware of we were in. I can't believe a company who boasts as many years in business would treat anyone the way you treated us - I would expect your arrogance will eventually be your downfall - Herzenberg is definitely not the last name in Kitchen Remodels.

I would never recommend this business. Placed an order for plank flooring for a small bathroom. Was…read moretold it would be in approximately two weeks time. Two weeks came and went and we heard nothing. My husband works near by, so stopped by to enquire about the floor. He was told that they needed the truck to be full before order could be shipped as it was coming from Georgia. Another week went by and my husband stopped in again. This time they told him that the floor was on back order. Waited another week. Was then told that they couldn't find the order in the Georgia warehouse. At this point over a month has gone by and our contractor was stalled on our project. Our bathroom was completely ripped apart and we had to live with it this way. Renee at the front desk was always very kind and knowledgeable, however the man sitting next to her seemed like he had no clue as to what his job was. The manager was also extremely unhelpful. The showroom is chaotic and it's not very clean. They told us to try Dalenes flooring in Enfield. We called them and one of the sales crew told us he would call Georgia Warehouse. Within a half hour he found out that our floor had been discontinued the whole time!!! We went to get our money back from Prosource and were told it would be awhile before we could get our money refunded. Bottom line....don't go to Prosource. Dalenes showroom is so much nicer. Very clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Actually walked around with us and gave us guidance. Horrible experience at Prosource.

Also, and super important, if you're a contractor and you fill out their form to sign up for a pro relationship, I'm pretty sure they will sell your information to a database of hard money high interest rate lenders. After I did this, I've gotten calls for months almost daily. This hadn't happened to me for the 20 plus years I've had my phone number. Don't trust these guys. They're scuzzy and will scam you some way some how. Bad group of people.
