I wanted a place that could provide care without hassle or judgment. I scheduled a consultation, which came at no charge. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The office is beautiful and very upscale. While sometimes cosmetic dental offices can feel intimidating, that was not the case here at all. Every staff member was welcoming, and the patient coordinator was absolutely amazing. After my X-rays, I explained to the doctor what I was hoping to do, and he was extremely supportive of my plan. Many people with significant dental issues feel insecure about their smile, and just talking about next steps can be emotional. I never once felt judged or uncomfortable discussing my situation or my decision to move forward with full dentures. The dentist made me feel completely at ease and respected throughout the entire visit. I would give this office a 10/10 recommendation. I also want to mention that, because it is a cosmetic dental office, I expected it to be extremely expensive--but it was actually more affordable than a regular dental office. The professional, kind, and truly caring staff--including Dr. Matt, Tracey, and the hygienist--are gone, and the quality has suffered dramatically as a result. I recently went in for a routine cleaning. During the procedure, I was told I had to wear the black plastic protective glasses, or I wasn't welcome there and should leave. When I explained to Dr. Timothy Luong that I'm severely claustrophobic and have a history of panic attacks from previous life-threatening surgeries, he showed zero empathy. He didn't listen to my concerns at all--he simply insisted on the glasses and, when I couldn't comply due to my medical condition, asked me to leave immediately. This complete lack of compassion and accommodation for a legitimate health issue was shocking and unacceptable. No effort was made to discuss alternatives or understand my situation. I felt dismissed and disrespected as a patient. I will never step foot in Ascend Dental again and strongly advise others to think twice before choosing this practice. They really should tell you that the first visit is going to be this long so people can plan accordingly. I had already filled out the paperwork online, so there was no need for me to be there so early. The dentist was pleasant and thorough . She did my exam and reviewed the procedures she recommended. Then, the insurance girl came in to talk about what my insurance covers. I told her all I wanted today was the cleaning. For some reason that price was now $75 instead of the $25 they told me it would be when I first arrived. I paid the $75. Finally, the hygienist came in to clean my teeth. She was very friendly and she did a great job cleaning my teeth. On my way out, I noticed they had a sign in the window that said a cleaning, exam, and x-rays was $59 for new patients. I'm not sure why I was charged $75, even with my insurance, if they're only charging other new clients $59. Overall, the medical professionals at this office were professional and competent. The wait time and total visit time took too long. And I feel like I overpaid considering they charged me more with insurance, than they do people without.

They also refused to do a same day cleaning claiming it's "not standard" when legitimately every other dentist I've been to offers a same day cleaning. Nearly a year later, I went elsewhere. No cavities. The dentist said I had some staining, but no cavities on xrays, which were fast only done once as should be. They then did a same day cleaning. Do NOT go here. If your insurance covers it, go elsewhere, please! You might be paying for dental work you don't actually need and the staff here is rude and has long wait times. Seriously. Avoid this place.
