I mean, what kind of a bar opens at 9am and closes by 5 on Fridays, 4 on Saturdays? Roaming amongst the rows and rows of books, I couldn't even find someone to take my order. Eventually though, I figured out how this most unique pub works. It is completely BYOB! What a great savings. And then unlike other bars where you are forced to either converse with the blockheads around you, or stare at the often meaningless sporting events on the big screens (if it aint Jai-Alai, the WNBA or Green Bay Packers, what's the point?), the Cedarburg Library has an immense collection of books of all types, from novels to poetry collections, comics to bird guides; not to mention the newest newspapers and magazines. The conventionally located and well air-conditioned building also offers computers, private study rooms (assumedly if you have brought a significant other and want some alone time), and if you get really sloshed a 3d printer to play with. It would be nice if they had some alcohol on premise in case you drink everything you brought, or at least ice to refresh your spent brandy old-fashioned snifter. And bring your own bottle-opener as for some odd reason the front desk doesn't have one. But overall a wonderful place to have a coupletwothree and read some good literature.

Whitefish Bay has an incredible library. Not only is it the library itself, but a venue for hosting…read moreseminars, author events, classes, book clubs, voting and more. The space itself is very open, well organized and staffed with very helpful people. The kids area is a great place to take kids/grandkids for some activity on a cold day. Storytime is at 10:00, which fills up pretty quick. Easily accessible bins of books, a wooden train set table, large kitchen station with all the accessories, puzzles, magnetic tiles and more give little fingers plenty to do. Spending a couple hours here during a drab winter day is always time well spent.

My first impression was how brightly, airy, and open it is! So much light pours in, as compared to the old location which was quite dark and confined. Having two kids, libraries are always a go-to and this one now tops the list. They have an entire kids section wrapped with rows and rows of books, a little play-stage and dress up clothes, magnetic tiles, a play kitchen, and a few small computers with educational games. There's also a whole enclosed youth room which I assume will host various events and activities-- I'll have to look into that. Oh and you can check-out Tonies here too, which is wonderful. I love how overall inviting the space is. My kids really enjoyed our first visit! Oh and there is more than enough space and books for adults too. It's a very good size library will plenty of seating, and friendly staff. Great addition to the area!

The Germantown Community Library is going strong and growing. When I moved to Germantown, the…read morelibrary was jammed into a small building with hardly enough room in the stacks to turn around. With a cooperative effort, a new library building was constructed. Plans called for a main floor and a mezzanine, but funding was short so the mezzanine was never built. The result is a comfortable, wide open space. The inventory is increasing and the stacks are filling. The library offers books and periodicals (of course) as well as audio books, music, movies and a reference section. There is a large children's library with a dedicated children's librarian. There is WiFi and there are workstations in case you didn't bring your own computer. There are display cases with rotating items of local interest and plenty of room to display works of local, youthful artisans. There are available study rooms, meeting rooms and a large community room. As a member of the federated library system and SHARE, any publication can be brought in from (almost) any library in the state system. The librarians and circulation staff are friendly and pleased to help out, just ask. By the way, the framing is there for the mezzanine, perhaps you might help them build it someday? Germantown residents are fortunate to have such a wonderful community resource in a charming, attractive library.

There's a game room that offers a PS4 or a Nintendo switch, all you need is a library card to rent the room for an hour or more if no one else is interested, it is first come first serve. There's very nice seating areas on each floor. The children's area has a small lego building area and a play kitchen. Definitely give it a visit if you're in the area.

BUT BE CAREFUL bc i notice a creep filming me an others, go figure. So please watch your children an yourselves. I was upstairs in the children's area when this happen. I ran downstairs at let my mom know and staff. Staff told me he was reported earlier that week and that she would call the police. We left after that bc i was so upset tht this wasn't dealt with the first time reported. There's no telling how many children are on his camera. When I was leaving the creep was standing by the door and pressed the handicapped button for me to go out but I just used the other door because I was livid and didn't want to go jail. If you need help, the friendly librarians will help you but, if you're a wanderer, just meander through the shelves until something catches your attention. If you've got time, visit the mini- museum to find out how the library got its name. I'm not from Grafton, as a Veteran, I found this room intriguing! So much history in this little village! If your day is getting to you, and you need a time out, come into the library! Yes, there are still REAL books in the world! Lots of them. Get yourself a card and get lost in an adventure that will transform your day! It's cheaper than therapy! Safer than drinking! No adverse side effects! Extremely budget friendly!
