I have used Allegheny laundry pick up and delivery laundry service for the last 4 months…read more At first it was great service. However in the past couple of weeks items started coming back stained, wet and wrinkled. Clearly something had changed. Today was my pick up day, I got home and I saw my dirty laundry still on the porch. I did not get an email or call explaining why they did not pick up my laundry. I called them and an outgoing message said "We are cancelling all laundry services and do not know when we might resume service" Needless to say, I have found a new service.

Finding a laundry/dry cleaning service that picks up and delivers was fantastic when I was ill last…read moreyear and unable to do my own laundry or drive to a dry cleaner. Allegheny Laundry was the answer and they took care of my initial order perfectly. Unfortunately, the good service didn't last. Last fall, I sent clothes to be dry cleaned and shirts to be laundered. The slacks came back folded in a pile with the creases laid flat. Some ties I sent came back with the linings twisted. I decided I wasn't going to use them again. This week I got caught up in work and decided to give them another try. Big mistake! I sent a pile of shirts, two suits, and several pairs of slacks. I gave detailed instructions in my order: the shirts were to be laundered and pressed, the slacks dry cleaned and placed on hangers properly, etc. Yesterday evening, the driver shows up with shirts on hangers. I had to ask where the rest of the order was. He comes back with my laundry bag with clothes in it (everything was supposed to be on hangers). I open the bag and find my suit pants and the other slacks I sent once again folded improperly. I realized they had been laundered and not dry cleaned. My shirts had all been dry cleaned and were on hangers. The jackets to my suits and a laundry basket I had sent were nowhere to be found. Furious, I called and got Jim who said he would investigate. They found my jackets and I was told they would be delivered in the morning. As to my complaints about unwillingness to follow directions, I received an apology and a refund, but otherwise just that competition for workers left Jim, the owner, in a bind. Understandable, but if McDonald's is paying more than dry cleaners, pay your people more and raise my rates if necessary but do NOT provide bad service! As of this writing, I still have not received my jackets. I called Jim again and the small amount of snow that fell overnight apparently has delayed their drivers. My errands are completely unimportant, apparently. Sorry Jim, never again.

I've lived in Monroeville for over 10+ years and have never been treated so egregiously in my life…read moreby a business that this local community claims to trust with their prized clothing possessions On 8/17/26, starting with my first encounter with Kim at the front desk, dismissed my claim that my pants were improperly serviced. She voiced repeatedly that the ticket is titled hemming, which I immediately disagreed with. She condescendingly stated that she took measurements and everything to hem the pants, which I disagreed with yet again. I even pleaded for her to look at the camera footage to see that I pointed to my zipper to have fixed that's it. Instead of apologizing for altering my clothes without my permission...she proceeded to talk over me, minimize my complaint, and insist I pay an additional fee for the exact service I want. I refused and asked to speak to a manager/ owner. She informed me that Joe is the owner and will give me a call the next business day which never happened. Forward to today, 8/21/26, I arrived at 12:40p to speak to someone about my pants. Again, I was forced to speak with Kim, who begrudgingly announced that Joe isn't there and will not be there till Monday. Also, failed to inform me by phone any day this week that Joe wanted to speak to me in person to resolve the issue. I inquired why I wasn't called. She talked over me yet again and stated I would still have to pay to get my zipper fixed in addition to the hemming service. Again, I stated that I did not ask for a hem and why am I not being compensated for a service I did not ask for? She brought out this male, who claims to be a manager. He refused to give me his name. I'll provide a description instead. He appears 5'6 "/ 5'7 ". Blue/greenish eyes, blonde/ brown beard. Black wedding band. Black baseball cap He is as rude, apathetic, and egregious as Kim. He refused to listen to anything I had to say. Talked over me. Insisted I pay another $20 for the initial service I inquired about. Basically labelled me as a liar because the women working the front desk don't make mistakes. Because I tried to reason with me plead that the hem be undone. He mentioned a policy that the jeans need to fit before they can undo or complete a service. I asked to see the policy. He declined to provide it. He called me unreasonable and complicated and asked me to leave. I refused. I asked him to look at the camera footage to see the exact gestures I made pointing to the zipper I wanted fixed. He refused and said we don't have audio. At this point I'm enraged. Voice trembling. Appalled at the service I received. I stated that the way I'm being treated is unfair and racist. I will be taking legal action. I strongly implore anyone of color to think long and hard before receiving services from them!
