He responded within a day or so to my MANY emailed questions. He gave me a tentative start date and contacted me when that changed. Once the project started, he was here promptly every morning until the kitchen was completed. I was most concerned about the installation of a glass subway tile back splash, (because I had a bad experience with a different company installing tile in my bathroom) but he did an amazing job. Other aspects of the renovation included a laminate floor and installation of new sink, faucet, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. He added new baseboards, and casing around two doorways, and painted the portion of the room that wasn't tiled. When I requested a change - I felt the doorway needed a wider casing - he promptly got the new material and installed. He also installed two new light fixtures. The kitchen was cleaned up each night before they left. I would definitely use this company again.

I had two bathrooms gutted and redone 5 months after purchasing my home in April 2016 due to leaks…read more It was better to redo everything and not have to worry anymore. WRONG! 4 1/2 year later and the master bath is still leaking. They tore out everything down to the studs and did all of the plumbing etc. They said I would be first person that he was installing a corner rounded shower for. The master shower started leaking right away. Their "fix" was to goop all of this silicone which one, looked horrible and two didn't even fix the issue. They closed the living room ceiling after supposedly fixing the problem. My living room ceiling has been reopened time and time again. I had a family plumber come out multiple times because they are trying to fix what he did without ripping out the entire shower. They are having hard time and will be cutting wall out. The botton shower base is not level which is part of the problem. Can't fix that without tearing out and redoing the entire shower. They bought a cheap low tub for the hall bath and when I asked about it, they said it was the same size that I had. No it was not. They did not add anymore support when installing the tub and when you stand in it, it creeks because it moves. The old tub didn't creek. The hall bath has a sound in the wall that sounds like dripping. It is because they used flex hoses and did not secure them so they bang for a bit after running the tub/ shower. They put their wet saw in my hallway and did not protect anything. When they left, I found that my walls had gotten wet and the paint started bubbling. Again, he said he would fix it. Greg came and just started brushing paint over it without fixing or smoothing it out. Had to hire a painter to come fix. They do not ask the owner their opinion or preference and put things where they like them. They moved an outlet from the right side to the left which is a pain because we are all right handed. Not a big deal but just one more little thing that is annoying. I called to ask questions about the master bath and asked Greg to come back and look. He said he was too busy and to hire someone to fix it and he would pay for it "if it was something he did". REALLY, you did it all. I would never recommend this father son team. They rush and throw things together and make no time to make it right.

The difference between Phase 4 and the other contractor was night and day, the most significant difference being the willingness to work directly with our insurance company. With Matt's explanation to the insurance company, they quickly approved the additional work. Phase 4 got right to work and our house wound up looking better than before the tree fell. I had heard of horror stories of people working with insurance companies and contractors. This was not the case for us. Phase 4 came through for us.

I tried a recommendation from a friend and this contractor delayed getting back to me for a week (after saying he'd call that night) and then said he didn't have time (I think because he thought the job was too small). I called Charlie of CG Meyers, and he was prompt to get back to me within minutes and even was able to get me a very reasonable estimate that night. Charlie fit me into his schedule within a week. Upon arriving, we discussed the projects thoroughly again to make sure I was satisfied with the plan. The two jobs were completed in a few hours and when Charlie was done, he cleaned the area thoroughly. I was, my wife was as well, completely satisfied with his work. In the long run, the other handyman service and a previous one I used before didn't realize they were on a tryout for larger jobs in the future that my wife and I have planned. They lost out on the $$$$. I plan to use Charlie for all future jobs due to he's professionalism, pride in his work and his overall friendly personality.
