While it is graduation day, this is the second time that I've been in and the second time that the pre-made bouquets have contained dead flowers. For $12.99 they can do MUCH better. Shoot, I can do much better for half the price at Just Peachy. It's sad because I want to love this place. They also never seem to know when or if they will ever get my favorite flower in- the white double rose lily. Not very helpful. I'll go elsewhere next time. read more

This business has been both wholesale type supply and retail for years. If you know flowers and/or know what you want, OR have an open opinion in regard to your arrangement/purchase Franco's will be your 'go-to'. For those hoping for artistic direction or help with selection, you likely will find Franco's a bit overwhelming and the staff not very available...I've always given the ladies here grace as they have straddled the wholesale/retail line for years and have come up with (in my opinion) a distinct mostly 'all business' approach to selling flowers and design services..... think flower mart in NYC . Franco's helped me with my flowers for my wedding. I didn't use a florist and just needed some loose stems for tables and a few draping flowers for the alter. My venue recommended me to Franco's and they were top notch. Super easy to order what we needed. We had to postpone our wedding 4 days prior to the date due to my husband's parent's falling ill and Franco's was able to work with us on half the flowers, making us only purchase half of what we originally purchased for the original date. Who does that anymore? Franco's does, that's who! That meant so much to us considering we were dealing with A LOT that week. We went back to them for our new date 4 months later and they provided stellar service again. The original orchids we selected didn't arrive due to shipping issues but Franco's pulled through, spray painting other orchids to look like what we purchased. I would have never known the difference. Do yourself a favor and pop in here anytime to pick up flowers for an event, just because, for your house, etc, they have such a variety and everyone is kind and helpful. 10/10 recommend this awesome shop. read more

My expectations are always exceeded when using Franco's. When sending flowers, you really never know exactly what you're going to get. This review is solely for buying flowers in bulk. Not purchasing arraignments, which sound like they are inexpensive and beautiful (but I have no experience with). I wanted to like Franco's so bad. I was recommended by a family friend who buys her bulk flowers from Franco's. I walked in a week before I needed the flowers to check out what they had. A very nice selection and pretty much everything I needed. I planned on buying numerous types of flowers to make my own arraignments for my sister's baby shower. First thing that struck me-- these are not wholesale prices. $25 for 5 hydrangeas? I don't think so-- doesn't sounds like much of a deal to me. But either way, they had the variety I was looking for. I went to speak with one of the girls at the counter (one was super rude and had stink eye the whole time) and another young lady who was very pleasant and helpful. I told her my situation, I needed about 10-15 bunches of flowers and fillers, all of which they had in stock and asked if they always carried everything they had on the floor. Should I place an order? Do you put them aside? What is your policy? She recommended I tell her what I needed, that way they can ensure they have them come the following Saturday. I gave her a range of approximately how many of each type of flower I wanted and she gave me a price range for each, since apparently the prices change. No problem. All I needed was an estimate, that way I could see how it fits into my budget. Fast forward to the following week, as a courtesy, I called to tell them I would need to adjust my order and possibly take a few bunches of flowers off (one in particular). I was met with straight ATTITUDE (I'm assuming from stink eye girl) and told that was "absolutely not possible". What?? What do you mean that's not possible? I need to take off one bunch of flowers, but I definitely plan on spending some good money on flowers that you "put aside for me". I was told to come in and speak with the Manager. So I went in and spoke with the Manager. None of my flowers had been pulled, which wasn't a problem, I didn't mind pulling them, but they acted like they were doing me such a huge favor. So what came next was a huge surprise- I was told by the "manager" that I HAD to buy the ONE BUNCH of flowers I no longer wanted (that they carry in stock). I obviously didn't have to do anything. There was no deposit, no order, no contract, no nothing. We respectfully went back and forth and I decided that if they were going to be that rude and shady, I didn't want to do any business with them. So I ended up walking out with no flowers. Franco's lost me as a customer, and I will no longer be recommending them to my friends. read more

Just had my wedding three days ago, so perhaps I'm just still high on the amazing wedding vibes, but Franco's truly delivered. They brought the flowers on time (even before I got there with the check, so they had to come back....sorry, guys!) and everything was fresh fresh fresh and bright and beautiful. And honestly, I just felt better knowing they were all locally grown and arranged by the people that I had met there (I've been in a lot, even as a non-bride). When you live in Southern California, it just makes no sense to have your flowers flown in at great cost from somewhere else. You have to give a second choice on some blooms because they never know if they'll be in perfect season or if their growers will have them availabe, but WORTH IT for the savings and fresh-to-death flowers. And they had all my first choices! Dahlias! Craspedia! Yesss! I'm fo' sho' posting some photos, because the arch arrangements they created at Franco's are hard to believe until you see them. This is not like getting your wedding flowers done by a full-service wedding florist, but in my opinion, that's a good thing. read more

To ALL Brides - GO FRANCO FLOWERS!! Amazing. Karen was able to sit with me, listen to my vision, and then help me devise a more beautiful set up than I ever could have. She also made suggestions of what would be in season during my wedding (September) so we knew everything would be fresh and beautiful. They even have an archway that they decorate beautifully to however you want it too look. It could have wood woven thru or flowers or jewels hanging from it or whatever you want! I am a great fan of Franco's. Don't expect a pretty, welcoming store front because there are no bells and whistles here. However, their inventory and their prices are what brings me back whenever I'm in search of flowers. They have a pretty large selection of flowers but most of all, you cannot beat the price. They provide the best quality of flowers at the most reasonable price in the area. Their flowers are long lasting so you can enjoy them for days on end. I enjoy making my own flower bouquets so I just purchase the flowers in bulk. They do however make arrangements for you if you need them. I've never used this service but I've seen the arrangements they've made and I was pretty impressed. In fact, i've often thought of hiring them to create centerpieces for dinner parties...but I'm a gluten for punishment and for some reason, feel the need to do everything myself! Since I'm a guy, I obviously know nothing about flowers;) Good thing the people at Franco's did because I specified a few things I was looking for and they ran with it and did a bang up job... The flowers were wicked fresh and it appears like they put together a very plentiful bouquet for the price paid. Delivery was $15 which seems reasonable enough. The best place to buy fresh flowers! I went to the Carlsbad farmers market a couple of weeks ago and spent a bunch on lilies and tuberose. Most of them died before they even opened. I was really bummed! So this week I drove over to Franco's -- right off of the freeway on Leucadio Blvd. -- and picked up lilies, tulips and orchids. I kind of went crazy! But they have the best selection and they are always the best quality. My apartment looks and smells great. I like to arrange flowers myself but they will make a flower arrangement for you. Not so great anymore My 3 star review is a one star for my most recent visit and a bunch of 4 and 5 stars for my previous visits. This last visit I purposely did not buy flowers at Costco, I made a special trip to Franco's just to get flowers. Upon my arrival I found a sad remainder of picked over bouquets that were not big nor beautiful. Wow, they do an amazing job! Every time I ordered from them, I'll tell them I want the flowers to look bright or romantic, and they create the most amazing and stunning arrangements. They are very courteous over the phone, and they are always on time! This place is a dream come true. My sister and her family recently moved down to Carlsbad, and I went to pick up some flowers while visiting her. The first yelped florist I went to wouldn't show me their selection (weirdo) so I left determined to find something better--and I came to Franco's. This place, after parking in gravel and walking down a festive flowering and banana plants path, feels like a mini downtown LA 4am flower market. I really haven't been anywhere else that felt like that. Bunched cut flowers in buckets, flowers by the stem, live plants, and arrangements in oases were in the first and second rooms, all with a skilled and friendly staff. I chose one of their prepared arrangements, and asked them to freshen it up. There were lilies, bird of paradise, ginger, tuberose, tulip, dendrobium, and many other flowers in the arrangement. You can pick from premade arrangements or walk around the path to the left and pick out your flowers from a giant walk in cooler the size of an apartment. Then for $5 they will arrange it for you. Having owned and operated a flower shop for two years I understand the challenges of the flower business and all that it takes to provide high quality and freshness in your product. After several bad experiences in North County I asked my bf to simply stop sending me flowers since they always seemed like a waste of time and money. I had read positive reviews of Franco's and had mentioned Franco's to my bf when someone in my office received an arrangement from them which looked gorgeous! A few weeks later on our two year anniversary my bf had a breathtakingly beautiful arrangement delivered to my office. The flowers were fresh quality flowers and were arranged perfectly. They lasted well over a week and our whole building smelled like a garden! Today I received another stunning arrangement from Franco's which includes tuberose, dahlias, calla lilies, and pink roses - some of my favorite flowers! LOVE this place! The only downside is how long you end up spending there because you have to choose between so many gorgeous flowers. They put the bouquet together beautifully and their prices for the value can't be beat. If you do have a hard time choosing the staff is super helpful and can help you along. I even told my husband to stop over paying for the delivery service he was using to have flowers delivered to me at work, and start using Franco's. I tried using this florist several times. I'm not sure if each time i go there i get the same bad natured person but the customer service here is really lacking. The help is not friendly. I used them for my daughter's 30th birthday party and the flowers they ended up delivering were beautiful, which is why i gave them three stars, but ordering them was not a fun experience. when i tried to use them for other events, I just couldn't get any help or cooperation at all.
