Got a supreme steak and cheese and it was perfect. Totally on point and exactly what it should have been. However the lobster bisque is a waste of time and money. They'd be hard pressed to prove to me there was even lobster in it. It was basically a cream soup with seasoning in it. So disappointing on that part. Came here to eat with our friends and our little kids (all under 3). Towards the end our kids got restless and irritable since they were tired from the park. Our waitress Sierra (spelling) was so patient with us, very helpful throughout the evening, and even helped me put our food in Togo boxes since we left early to get the kids home. She was very nice. Franco's are getting two stars only because food has been okay in the past, however, I just went here two days ago and had quite possibly the worst manicotti I've ever experienced. It was so bad that I didn't even eat half of it and trashed it. The dish had absolutely no taste, and I can honestly say I've had TV dinner manicotti that tasted better. It seemed like this was made a day ago and reheated for my eating displeasure. The pizza I've gotten here before has been good, but definitely skip the manicotti on their menu. The salad was very good, far better than anything else of my main course. I'm sure I'll give Franco's another try soon, but this meal was one of the worst I've had in recent memory. I'm not much of a restaurant critic, but I would hate for anyone to come in to this place and ruin their day. Similar to many other reviews (wish I would have checked before I went), I went with a coupon for a free large cheese pizza that I recently got sent in the mail. When I came to pay the waiter told me he can't take it without explaining why, so I asked for the manager. The manager came out and insisted my coupon is expired and pulled up the calendar on his phone to count days (it was valid for 60 days). When I proved to him it was valid he yelled at me angrily "We have new management we don't take the coupon!!". I don't know how the old management was, but with this new management the last thing on their mind is customer satisfaction. read more

I ordered the gf pizza with just cheese and they charged me for the cheese as an extra topping. What? I wasnt mad because decent gf pizza is hard to find in my area it looked amazing and smelled really good so didnt even complain about the extra $1 and some change. We have eaten here / had take out multiple times since they opened and have always had a great experience. My husband and I are thrilled that a GOOD pizza place is finally near us... My only beef is that they don't deliver but that's really not a big deal. So far, we've tried about 60% of the menu... Used to love Francos, but tonight my family and I ordered a ton of to go food. (Over 60 dollars worth) One dish was spoiled and when we called, we were offered a credit in the amount of half of the cost of the manicotti. That's weird. Terrible customer service. The owner was the one to tell us that we wouldn't receive a full refund. In the grand scheme of things, I think a full refund wouldn't have really affected their total earnings for the night. We ate lunch there yesterday for the first time since it was sold in 2019 and they changed the recipe for many items that we use to get 3-4 a week, so we tried it again as I said yesterday and we were one of four tables in the whole restaurant it took a long time to get waited on but we finally did and ordered two different pasta dishes and after app 18 minutes the lady brought us the two dishes and said can I get you anything else and I said you never brought us our salads? She said I'm sorry so I tasted mine it was barely Luke warm and tasted nasty kind of like you would expect from a shoneys and after 17 more minutes we got our salads I have to say they were good but the service was awful had to wait and wait for a refill and then the booth beside of said to the server that her sub has fried onions on it and she said no onions so safe to say we won't go back it was a waste of $25 for lunch read more

I patronize Franco's more for the location and convenience rather than the taste. I've eaten here three times and my dishes were just okay. Not very flavorful and definitely not what I would call authentic Italian. The service has gotten much better. My first time here, lunch service was so slow and the restaurant was empty. No excuse for that and my group of six co-workers were ready to walk out. Many of us had to take our food to go. On numerous occasions, I've done pizza takeout and I think that's where most of my star rating lies. I do enjoy their mushroom pizza. Every single time we order from this place they get our order wrong. Something is missing something is wrong. Tonight I did not get an item I ordered and the pizza we got that we picked up was stone cold. There are too many young people up there at the register not paying attention to the orders that are being given to the public. This place needs a serious overhaul on checking orders before they go out the door. Also, your food should be delivered or carried out hot. Much work is needed here. My family and I have eaten in their restaurant on two occasions, the first time was... okay so we thought, okay let's just try it again. It was much worse. The came a couple of nights ago. My husband ordered to go bc we were starving and we decided we would get them since I would be driving past. WOW...first the service was far from great once I walked in to pick the order up. When I got home, the pizza was terrible!! My children didn't even eat it. We were all super hungry but after trying it, we just couldn't eat it. It was one of the worst pizzas we had ever tasted. I must have gone on a bad day. Meatball sub was absolutely horrible! It was a carryout order. The meatballs were tasteless. The fries were cold and stuck together in clumps. I would hardly call this Italian food, there is hardly and flavor in the food at all. Both the meat sauce and Alfredo sauce have zero flavor and the garlic knots taste like burnt croissants. I might think it was just an off night for the cook, but given how bad the service was, I'm guessing this is the norm. We mentioned the slow service to the girls at the front checkout and they just smirked and said sorry and offered a coupon like it was a normal occurrence. Oh my stars! This to me is best Italian food I have ever had in the Henrico area. Frank the owner and cook well he is the best. I have been twice since it recently opened, The atmosphere is perfect. The food is delious. The desserts are to die for. The service is top notch. I recently had the chance to order the chicken picatta. It was excellent. My compliments to the chef. I ordered the Limoncello Mascapone Cake, omg it was devine. I had trouble picking which dessert i wanted so Frank sent me the tiramisu compliments of the house. I recommend this little gem.
