The on site staff member who oversees the property was disrespectful, creepy, rude, and accusatory whenever something in the building was dysfunctional. It got to the point where I no longer felt comfortable even using the space I paid for monthly. And worst of all, this studio did not keep record of any of my monthly rental payments (zero receipts). As a working musician, this really affected my taxes at the end of the year and ruined me financially. Don't go here. It is a waste of money. It is not worth the stress of dealing with their on site management.

This a really hidden spot and you might drive right past it the first time unless you're following your GPS. The facility is small (or narrow I should say) but the practice room itself is a decent size and can comfortably fit a 6 piece band. The studio is set up in 3 sections. First you come in through the front and find yourself in the lobby/living room area. The next door takes you through the engineer's room. Once you go through the last door you'll be in the music room. The studio only has one music room, so be sure to call ahead and book your slot. In terms of equipment, it's all pretty old, but it gets the job done, as my nutshell description above states. If you are a picky musician like me, bring your own gear. The room does have outlets, AC (ask them to turn it on if you need it), a couch, fridge, drums, amps, and of course a PA system to plug into. As any budget-friendly studio, it is not fancy or fresh-smelling. The price is OK, $13/hr. You'll have to park on the street and should be able to find parking right in front or pretty close by. The studio owner (Gemini) and his girl are easy going, welcoming, and accommodating. Feel free to ask them anything in regards to the place or even music. Gemini seems to have been in the music industry for some time. Oh, one more thing. There's a bunch of fish tanks.

You can earn tickets from ending each session. I came here for a solid 2 years and it was a great decision.

However, prices are going up in a month a couple bucks, so keep that in mind. They have small, medium, and large rooms. The medium room seems like a large to me. We got 7 people in there with amps. Unlike many rehearsal studios, this one provides a snare, in case you don't want to lug yours. I've seen the owner with a double bass pedal but am not sure if that is able to be used or you have to pay extra. The owner is pretty friendly. There is even a record store attached to the rehearsal studios. The only problem I've found was parking. Sometimes I get lucky and find a spot right out front, and sometimes I have to park all the way around the block. Still, it's totally worth checking out. Recommended for band practice.

And this is in the many rooms we've tried. On the plus, they have tons of rooms and generally decent parking, although prepare to have to park far away in the parking lot. On the big minuses, is their refusal to book any room starting on an odd number hour. So, for example, you cannot book a room from 1-3 pm. They insist you start at noon, when they open or at 2pm, so they don't have to eat the 1 hour from 12-1pm. I've never faced this at any other rehearsal studio in Los Angeles. They will book you from 12-3, however, and then just eat the hour from 3-4pm. Huh?! Like, dude, your logic makes zero sense. I'd rather go to Grooveworks in Long Beach or Summit in Pasadena. Many other good spots without such arbitrary rules. Luckily won't have to go back. Trying to talk logic to the owner is like beating your head against a wall.

You, prospective artist looking for a place to jam... and you, whoever the owner is. It's not that the place is bad. It's just not good. and it could be great. Trash piled up high for days. 2. The vending machines haven't been filled since 2018. 3. The overall vibe is "musical slumlord." And that bleeds into your music creatively. It's not completely soundproof, so you have to picc and choose when to record, especially if your neighboring rooms are bass heavy or burgeoning roccstars. there's no real common areas, so you're basically in your room all day, or standing outside.
