I'm a singer-songwriter and I've been at it for over 50 years. I visited Terry Flynn's studio and…read moreshow room recently, and purchased a 1926 Mason and Hamlin grand that had been totally restored by Terry and his amazing technicians. He was kind, patient and gracious - explaining each step and process. His technician,Marianka, took the time and care to pull the action and show me everything she had (lovingly) done on this piano. I purchased the Mason and Hamlin, trading my 6'3 Baldwin. Today, Terry and his wonderful staff delivered this gorgeous instrument to my home in Western Mass. The only thing more magnificent than this beautifully restored piano was the care they took in removing my Baldwin and setting up the Mason. Absolutely seamless and expert. I've moved the Baldwin several times in the last 31 years, and I've never seen movers with the skill and care that the Flynn group had. If you're looking for a piano company for tuning, restoration, repair or advise - Terry Flynn and company is a brilliant choice. I couldn't be happier.

While there, we also asked them to take a 36" strand of pearls which my wife inherited from her mother and make two 18" strands for our granddaughters. Frankly, I was surprised at the prices of the pearls and the repair. Fast forward a few weeks and we were back in town and brought in several pieces for cleaning and repairs. Yeah, these folks are so good at what they do, and so reasonable in their pricing that we now save our jewelry issues for RJ Stohr Jewelers. I'd like to think, of all their customers, we travel the furthest to do business with them. But, given how good they are and how well they treat their customers, I'm sure they have many long-distance customer relationships. Keep up the good work, Rick, Ben, Norm, and everyone at RJ Stohr Jewelers!

He was business-like, polite, and had no problem answering my questions...which I expect of every small business. If you are going in there with the expectation of purchasing a $99.00 vacuum you probably are in the wrong establishment...head to Wal-Mart, or Target. KENTS products are Top of the line, imho. Jeff knows well his products and as far as I could tell was quite fine with answering any legitimate questions you may have. What a bit surprising to me was, there was no PUSH to buy a vacuum I didn't need, or a more expensive model. I have multiple dogs, and needed a vac that could handle the normal day to day stuff, + dog hair. The Sebo Felix would do the job, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. It was a good shopping experience. I'd do business there again in a heat-beat, but since I bought the Sebo, I expect I won't have to. See ya in another 26 years...that how long my Miele lasted. "Miele rhymes with Sheila" Thank you Jeff for the help, and for carrying my German made vac out to my German car.

I have a pair of boots I wear consistently and they are my absolute fave. I noticed last week that…read morethe toe was lifting from the sole and found out that this particular style is no longer sold by the brand. I had my husband take them to George's Shoe Repair as I'm newer to the Berkshires and want to support local businesses. I picked these boots up and my first red flag was that despite saying they were open at 10am, they were actually not open by the time I got there at 10:40 and the gentleman next door told me, "They kind of come in whenever." Well, whatever I guess, no biggie, right? I went back later and they were actually there. It took them a while to even find my boots, and then once they found them it took an extra thirty minutes for them to polish them. Again, no big deal but it had been four days so why weren't they just ready to grab and go? Anyways, the part that actually has me leaving 1 star and recommending people to NOT patronize this business: Today is the first day I'm wearing them since they were "fixed" and it's only been four hours since I put them on; the soles and heels on both boots are peeling which is completely unacceptable and has me feeling scammed. Yes, it was only $40.00 to have them redone but what the f?! I'm so unhappy!
