I followed it one night wondering what was going on this late at night and was lead to the Pivot Ballroom. The windows were open, lights flashing, and energy flowing, I went upstairs to check it out and was shocked at how many people were up there dancing away. I was greeted by an enthusiastic and sweet girl, Paola, who explains she runs the Latin Dance Party first and third Friday each month at the Ballroom, she is with Controla Dance Academy. Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, and more! The party goes from 10-1:30, but things start at 8 with dance lessons. 15$ cover before 9, 20$ after. BYOB and BYOF, they do have water and snacks available for free. I usually grab a pizza from Ardmore Pizza and bring it up to share. DJ spinning tunes and loads of people dressed to kill, it's a fun time and well worth checking out! While you are there grab an event calendar, they have lots of dance functions every month.

What a cute little yoga studio. I am often in Washington Township for work and sometimes, I can't…read moremake it back home to hit up my regular yoga or barre classes so I YELP searched yoga studios and this little gem popped up. First, this little studio is amazingly clean and wow does it smell good inside! I see oils and some other 'smell goods' behind their check in desk - I mostly get the scent of lavender and maybe a little citrus. Second, I have taken only two classes here but both have been incredibly relaxing. A truly wonderful place to destress and shake off the day. I enjoyed both instructors and found the other students friendly and welcoming. There is no mirror and students are encouraged to go at their own pace. I am a Bikram junkie so this was my very first experience with Vinyasa Flow style yoga - I really enjoyed it and left both times feeling really great. So a few things for anyone who has never been here before. You enter right into the studio, so shoes need to come off at the front door, there are cubbies for your gear right there in the front. They have a changing area in the back and their check in desk is in the back of the studio too. Yogi Power Yoga is in a very busy strip mall, parking can be challenging though there is usually more space at the other end by the convenience store. Oh and speaking of strip malls, this studio is next door to a Chinese Food place and standing outside waiting for the studio doors to open might make you hungry. Lastly, if you have never done 'hot' yoga, don't be intimidated, it's nowhere near as hot as it is in the Bikram studios. I hope this place is here for a very long time, I'd like to be able to continue dropping in when I'm in the area.

However, the "proverbial straw" was when we picked up the kids and my 5 year old had been sitting in his own urine for 3 hours. He felt so uncomfortable with the counselors that he (1) didn't ask them to use the bathroom; (2) didn't tell them he was wet. This had never happened to my children. In addition to that, my daughter had dog poop all over her; kids in the camp were calling my son names; the counselors were on their laptops in the am; and when I called the owner to talk about my issues, I felt brushed off. I entrusted my children's physical and emotional lives to this woman, and she didn't take care of them. In addition, after I pulled my children out of camp, she would not consider a refund, even partial.
