Customer service sucks absolutely rude employees. I went in for a return and got ignored patiently waiting by the register.

Small, cute, gorgeous store. The staff is very kind and helpful. The products here are precious and beautiful. This store is for ages 13+.

I went to White House black market for the first time to shop for my new job. I spent three hours…read moretrying on different outfits and ended up purchasing $2,000 worth of clothing. However, after checking out, I was not informed about the specialty tags that, once removed, would make the items non-returnable, even in case of a manufacturer defect. One of the items I bought was the Sleeveless Lace Fit & Flare Midi Dress. It was beautiful and the size I tried on in the store fit perfectly. However, on Easter, while waiting for my boyfriend to get ready, I realized that the tiny shoulder straps were not holding up the dress properly. After just ten minutes, the weight of the dress caused the straps to slide down, revealing about four inches of my bra. Not wanting to leave the house with my bra showing, I decided to return the dress. When I explained the situation to the store, they informed me that the $250 dress could not be returned. Despite my explanation, they allowed me to leave the store with the dress. Frustrated with this experience and the amount of money I had spent, I wanted to return the rest of my purchases due to concerns about potential manufacturer defects and this particular situation. The store workers initially resisted my request, but when I mentioned contacting the district manager, they quickly changed their stance and offered me a store credit. However, I was still at a loss of money and left with only a store credit. To make matters worse, the store workers inspected the dress as if I had worn it extensively outside my house, treating me with less than human respect. They even pointed out a tiny light yellow dot on the dress. After I stated AGAIN I never wore this dress outside the house and maybe it happened in the store she didn't say anything. My mom who has work in retail for over 40 years was on the phone while this whole experience was going on was Appalled. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF ON MAKING SURE THE CUSTOMER IS AWARE OF YOUR RETURN POLICY. This might be the first time in my life a retailer didn't explain this. Clearly after spending 2,000 you can assume greed was involved. I am disappointed with this whole experience and the way the store handled the situation.
