If this were a steak, I wouldn't have minded, but ground beef at that temperature carries a food safety risk. After reading multiple reviews about people getting sick here, I wasn't comfortable taking that chance. I asked for it to be recooked, and the waitress was kind and brought out a fresh plate. It was decent, but again, nothing special. The truffle gnocchi was where things really went downhill. When it hit the table, it smelled like mildew. I know truffle can be strong and earthy, but this didn't seem right. I forced myself to take one bite so I wasn't judging off smell alone, but it tasted exactly how it smelled. The menu is simple and clean (with items leaning towards European while still having Mexican cuisine options) with lots of healthier options. I ordered a chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese in a tamarind sauce with some healthy grains and steamed vegetables. It was exactly the kind of light dish I hoping for, and I really enjoyed it with a freshly squeezed juice and a coffee. The service was good, and it was just a lovely place to enjoy a meal in San Ángel - the kind of place I'd love to sit with a book and relax for a few hours! I'd be happy to return.
