This company used to be super reliable and has DRASTICALLY gone down hill. 4 days of call backs to set up an "appointment request", absolutely unnecessary use of information and quite frankly, employees who don't give a shit. They seem more concerned to give customer disservice then to actually help at all. Very disappointing. read more

A shame there's no option for zero stars for zero service. Wow did this company go downhill. We've used them for many years. 4 years in the current house and a few years in our prior house. Our septic pump failed and we were worried water/sewage would back up into the house. We called Franc right away to report it and were told someone would contact us first thing the next morning (Monday). No one called us so we called them again. They said we were first on the list, yet no one ever got back to us after several calls and waiting for 3 days. Called another company in Bucks County who came out within 24 hours. We called Franc to advise them we were forced to use someone else and typical of a terrible business, they never called to apologize or even explain why they ignored us. Oh well, Franc lost out on a $3800 job, paid in full. Good riddance to you. read more

Ever since a large corporation bought them their service is appalling. I called for an emergency service, red light and buzzer going off. i told them the issue , the clean water tank was full and not dosing teh fields. and all they wanted to do was sell a pumping of the first tank, which was not the issue. . It hadn't been pumped in a awhile to i told them OK pump first then tell me what the issue was. it took them four days to get out to pump the tank. i never heard back from them what the light was on for. I did get the bill within 24 hours though. I have been a customer for 20+ years. Sad to see how quickly a good company can go bad with the wrong management. I miss the old owners. read more

we scheduled Franks Environmental for a septic tank clean out due to a clog and back up, it was scheduled for 1/5/24 afternoon, and I received a text confirmation. I called to check on the eta and they said they would have to reschedule for 1/17/24 , 12 days later. after several frustrating calls with several managers and no results, I called Clemens , and they were at my home in an hour, and $100 less expensive. read more

We have used franc environmental for 8 years now managing the septic systems on several properties. They have always been on time and on point for budget. They keep records of their tank locations for future ease of pumping. We have also used them for construction of two sand mounds that have performed as expected. While they aren't the cheapest around, you get what you pay for and they are worth it. read more

We hired Franc Environmental for a sewer lateral inspection at the recommendation of our realtor. I should have known this was not a good idea when the person answering the phone had no idea what a sewer lateral was. The service tech who arrived was obviously inexperienced. 1st he asked me if the sewer pipe input was the input spot for the inspection and had to call his manager several times in his attempt to do the contracted work requested. He then decided that maybe he could remove the downstairs toilet and go in that way for the inspection. He decided this was not a good idea because he couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't break the toilet taking it off and putting it back on. In the end we were told that the inspection could not be completed because they could not get the camera to go beyond the first 18/19 feet. As a result of this assessment that the video could not be done due to a pipe offset ~ 18/19 ft from the sewer line entrance, we contacted two other sewer companies to come assess the repair needed.  Both companies reviewed the video done by this company and did not see why Franc Environmental was not able to complete the sewer lateral from the street to the house beyond 18/19 feet. Our second plumber was able to complete the sewer lateral video at a cost of another $300 on top of the $350 that we had already paid to Franc and another $50 paid to another sewer company for consultation. He was unable to determine why your plumber was unable to complete the assessment.   He was able to go 55 feet with the video with no problems in less than 10 minutes.   At first all he could guess was that your plumber was sending the camera to the street sewer line rather than to the house. Bottom line the service your company provided was a waste of money and time, and created significant stress for my husband and I as we were trying to "fix" our sewer problem in advance of our move. In addition, when I emailed this company about the problems that we had with the "service" provided they did not respond, which is why I am now writing this review. Maybe they're better with septic tanks, but I would stay away for any public sewer work. read more

Beware, before you use this company. They did a septic inspection on a system at a home I was purchasing. The inspection came back satisfactory, no issues found. The day after settlement (only 2 weeks from the inspection and tanks emptied all work done by FRANC) the tanks were completely full, which couldn't be possible because no one was living at the house for many months. After further inspection there was holes in both tanks and one tank was crushed in and rain water was completely filling up the tanks. How was this not found during the inspection FRANC did?!?!? The company would not call me back, my realtor was the only one they would talk to and finally after months of my realtor not giving up, the tanks were replaced at a large expense to me. If the inspection would have been correct to begin with, I could have gone back to the seller to have these repairs completed or negotiated money off the price of the property. Now the tanks are replaced and I am still having issues with water infiltration at the seam where the riser and tank meet. A technician came out (2 months ago) and recommended the risers get sealed where they meet the tanks and to add 6 inch risers onto the tanks because 2 of the lids are below grade. I have contacted FRANC multiple times to see if this was covered under the 2 year warranty they give with new system installations. I am now being told that the water infiltration is not caused by anything they did. They did the installation, how can they say that? The risers should have been above grade and sealed when the tanks were installed by them. This company is just horrible to deal with, non responsive and do not stand by their work. Please protect yourselves, save yourself a lot of aggravation, and use another company! Update: The day after I wrote the above review I heard from Franc (after 2 months of trying to get a response). Their construction manager came out the very next day to review their plans to correct the rain water infiltration, I agreed for them to do the work. The work was completed on August 10th. After the work was completed Franc asked me to remove or update my review. I informed them I would not because it has describes my experience with them from day 1 ( which was 8 months ago....8 months of worries, stress, frustration, taking showers and doing laundry other than our new home, not sleeping at night when it was raining, major financial expenses and no one from Franc carrying that they were the reason for all of those stresses and in no hurry to contact me or fix the issue until my Google review). I am sorry to say that the work done on 8/10 did not fix the rain water infiltration. I had to have the tanks pumped on August 25th (only 3 weeks of use since the last pump). I did reach out to the office personal, on 8/25, that I was instructed to should I need anything else. And not to my surprise I still have not received a response. With the rain storm we had last night (9/1) my tanks were completely full once again. Again I reached out to the office staff member, the evening of 9/1) and no response as I right this update. I don't believe they will get back to me since I wouldn't agree to remove this review. Update as of 1/26/23: Never received a call back from Franc and continue to have issues to this day. Rainy weather like we have been having is horrible, tanks have been full with rain water constantly the last few weeks with tanks alarm going off sometimes going off twice in 1 day! Once again, please protect yourselves, save yourself a lot of aggravation, and use another company! read more

From start to finish, whether it be a simple procedure or a full on excavation/ construction project (I have had both!) i have experienced nothing but class. Their team is polite, punctual, educated and super professional. In my experience... dealing with a problem with your septic is stressful and scary. Keep getting the run around from this company. The office staff is nice and polite but even though I have called and complained numerous times about no follow through on getting on the schedule to check out my septic system so I can sell my house. The office staff told me they would consult with the owner to get someone to come out and was supposed to be called once again a week ago. How many months does this take. They should just tell me and Plymouth Township and Realtors who recommended for me to go to them that they are too busy and don't need any new customers. So annoying and a total waste of my time. I called these guys on Wednesday to see if we could have somebody come out to see if we had a blockage of sorts (had a gurgling toilet situation happening) and they got me set up super-conveniently with today (they even offered same day service which was super cool, but alas, I was at work!). Tom the owner came to our rescue with a cost efficient solution and a quick turnaround on service. When we need a pick-up, it's always within 24-48 hours after a phone call. Terrible. Stay far far away. Getting these guys to respond is like pulling teeth. Maybe they're good at sucking up the crap, don't doubt it. However do yourself a favor and do not hire them for big jobs like replacing your septic. Shoddy work, once you can get them to do it. No communication and zero follow up.
