You're greeted with a long walkway into a garden. Like the entrance to a secret garden. Plants covered to make it into a canopy. Tons of plants as well as garden trinkets all lined the walkway. Loads of things hanging from the walls as beautiful garden pieces that can be for outdoor or indoor. Once inside which is like a secret garden which there's loads of amazing pieces. Homeware, garden items with both indoor and outdoor pieces. The store inside has so many cute jewelry pieces, home decors, a baby section with loads of cute clothes and toys. Loads of gifts for any occasion as well as some apparel. They also have such an amazing collection of decorative pillows all with beautiful prints. It's a garden center meets home decors. Such a beautiful spot for a wander through. Also, the walkway is a major spot for photos as we always have encountered people striking a pose. One of the best kept secrets store of Ojai. Maybe not secret but a must see whenever you're here. I'm Sure there's something that will catch your eyes.

I love the alley entry with decor for your garden and outdoor spaces, and the inside is darling as well for interior goodies and feel goods. The things sold here are so finely curated, and so unique. You will slow down, exhale, and look at so many things while in this darling store. And, like me, you will return and bring others to enjoy its charm.

I don't remember seeing this place the last time I was in Ojai. Could have been there for a while…read moreand we just didn't stop in. First impression, beautiful clean and calm. A bit of shabby chic meets Asian Bali inspired. It might be somewhat of a spiritual type of store. Is it a reoccurring theme as every store you walk into along the main strip all carries some sort of dish ware. They're all very beautiful. Regardless if it's solid color or a beautiful print. They're all amazing. Loads of spiritual books, beautiful effortless pieces of clothing. Beautiful hand made pieces from all over Asia. There were some artwork on the wall but the main attraction was the massive red door leaning against one wall. Not sure if it's for sale but it was incredible. There some pieces of furniture on display as well but that could just be for show. The store has a nice calm feel when you walk in and browse through. Beautiful items on displays throughout the store.

They have cute hippie clothes, antique trinkets for the home, cotton bedding and they sell this beautiful rustic Aleppo olive oil soap. That's all I could see at the moment. I'm hoping they do a few more things to bring life into the place because I see it has potential. Right on Ojai Ave, so I hope the owners take full advantage of the opportunity and go all out with inventory if possible. It was lavender season, so things like lavender sugar, lavender simple syrups, lavender teas, bags of lavender would have been nice for sale. They gave me a handwritten receipt on a nice quality piece of paper with the business letterhead, so that felt cool. It felt like going back in time to the old ways of giving receipts. I hope this small business survives. Reach out if you'd like ideas because I'm full of them.

This particular shop, not crazy big but does pack a whole lot of punch to it. Right when you walk in, it's two stories. Majority of the retail is downstairs. A cute home decors space with amazing artworks hanging throughout. Downstairs in the main showroom as well as upstairs. Upstairs was more of a gallery in a sense. There's loads of home decors as one would imagine with a place like this. The selections of dish ware, beautiful glassware, amazing hat sections as well as a wide array of jewelry. There's so much to look at. In the back of the store was also another little shop that's a florist with both some fresh cut flowers and dried flowers. Loads of little trinkets, a whole displays of candles as well as some stationary. Not sure if the furniture is part of the display or if they're retail. Either or, another cute spot.

Tala Design was one of these spots, an attractive shop selling furniture and curated home goods, as well jewelry and miscellaneous knick knacks. The store was pretty and pleasant to browse, with an easy layout and plenty of handsome merchandise. I wasn't planning to buy anything, but I found a dish of cool rings fashioned from vintage spoons, made by a woman in Ojai. One of them fit just right, and I liked that it was one of a kind. My husband bought it for me for the reasonable price of $37. I gather Tala offers interior design services, and the shop serves as a showroom as well as a retail store. I wasn't looking for that, but the place was certainly good advertising for design work. Check it out if you're walking around downtown Ojai. You might even find something to take home.

I am new to pottery and have been so happy with all of the guidance I have received at this studio. I started with their introductory class (aka Play with Clay) which is $65. This $65 intro class begins with a tour of the studio followed by a tutorial going over the steps of wheel throwing. It can be surprisingly difficult at times but they have multiple instructors for the small class that help a lot. You are given 5 pounds total of clay and are allowed to make whatever you want with it. Afterwards, it costs $15/piece for the studio to trim and glaze your piece for you (or you can come back and glaze yourself). You can avoid this fee however if you upgrade your experience to the 4 class package for $110 (they subtract the cost of the intro class and count that as 1 class). I did this option and highly recommend it if you are nearby! It comes with 12.5 pounds of clay and 16 hours of individual practice studio time. The practice time is so clutch. You work in the member studio on your own. However, I have found that the community here is so kind and supportive. Members of the studio and staff are quick to help if you have a question and some members have even sat down with me to help me with some difficult pieces. I wanted to give a shoutout to the owner Robin and one of the staff/instructors Aaron. Both Robin and Aaron have been so kind to us and are so willing to help us out, even when it's outside of the classes. They are so talented at what they do and they make the process seem easy. They have so many solutions to fix your pieces if you mess up. I am so grateful for them as well as the other staff that we have had the pleasure of learning from. I highly recommend checking this place out and consider becoming a member here. They have so many different glazed and they fire their ovens twice a week, I believe. Most other studios do this only about once or twice a month... From my time here, I have probably made close to 10-15 pieces total - what a great deal.
