Admittedly, I am a long-time framebridge customer. Though first time writing a review. While I have used their online services and frequented many stores over the years, in the last couple of weeks, I ended up using the 14th Street store for two separate frame jobs I needed done, and both experiences were 5 for 5. First, I wanted to reframe a painting that my grandmother gave me. I walked in with it two weeks ago, got incredible help/advice from the store manager (forgetting her name - apologies) and got the piece back earlier this week. It is beautiful - framed perfectly. The speed and quality are unmatched and service was phenomenal. And today, I placed an order for a framed picture that I wanted to pick up in the store today. I placed the order online and Jason called within about an hour to let me know they were out of the frame. I said no big deal, I had wanted it today but I could wait for when they get it in store. Jason called back about 30 minutes later to let me know he had contacted the Union Market store, they had it in stock and were bringing it over to the 14th street location. He would have it ready in 30 minutes. Above and beyond! Through it all he was so kind, clear and responsive. Service is great! Staff is helpful and online inquiry response is quick. Pricing is good compared to other custom framing.

I'm a regular at the Bethesda location, but my friend and I stopped by this location so she could get two pieces framed. I love Framebridge's concept, and I've been mostly very satisfied with the customer service experience at the store and the quality of the frames when they arrive (one or two didn't look amazing and had slight chips in the frame). This Framebridge location is much larger than the Bethesda location, but I didn't enjoy the experience of shopping here as much. The staff seemed either newer or less comfortable making suggestions. In Bethesda, when I wavered in the past, staff there are pretty comfortable helping with suggestions or notes. At this store, my friend was VERY indecisive, and I think she needed a bit of direction. We didn't get it from Framebridge staff, so I became my best bossy self so I could get out of the store in less than an hour. Framebridge is great. They have a lot of frame options. They are way more affordable than going to Michael's (and I assume much less than if you went to a traditional framing store also). The process to get something framed is pretty simple (I've gone into the store with my prints or sent them via mail without going into a location). Overall, I really like their business. I just thought that the staff at this particular location could have been a little more helpful during the selection process when they saw that my friend was very overwhelmed. Can't say enough good things about Framebridge on 14th Street! I came in with two projects needing framing: one digital photo and one set of classic rock portraits (4 small portraits that needed to be in one frame). I made an appointment on their website (super easy) and popped in. I was helped right on time by Ivan, who was phenomenal. He made the process incredibly easy and was helpful and engaging. Framing and art design isn't my forte, and it's great to have help from someone like Ivan who knows exactly what he's doing. This will be my go-to spot for framing! read more

I've had items framed here multiple times and had a great experience! I would definitely recommend it.

Used twice. First time was ok but got the wrong frame size for one of my pics. This time they seem to have lost an original pic of my son's high school graduation yet keep sending me tracking numbers that go nowhere. Can't get anyone to respond to me with any meaningful information. It has been a month with no resolution. And no refund. Nothing... I'll never use them again, they don't seem to have any appreciation for sentimental value of the pieces they are framing. read more

the staff is nice but the two pieces had to be sent back to correct errors; one by them before they gave it to us and another we noticed something wrong when we picked it up. unfortunately the piece which was pristine when we gave it to them now has a bend where their mistake was. We won't be using them again for art/pieces that are worth a few hundred dollars. anything else is Ok I guess. read more

Despite the fact that I came in prepared and knowing what I wanted to order, the staff here were able to exceed my expectations of the time and effort it would take to place an order. The location itself is easy to get to, bright and full of light. Also parking isn't awful, there's a good amount of it available on the side streets. Not only that, but it was nice to be able to actually see and touch the frame I'd seen online. As much as I love the convenience of online ordering, for a custom product such as this it means a lot to be able to feel the textures and see the colors in person. Ordering was a breeze as I just uploaded the image to my account that we quickly created in-store, they snapped it down, processed the order, confirmed with me and I was on my way. read more

I brought a large piece in to be framed 10 weeks ago and still don't have it back so just asked for a refund and my art so I can go somewhere else. We will see how long it takes to get both. Framebridge is incredibly backed up for large pieces but no one tells you this at point of sale. I've received updates only when I've followed up, and the final straw was the store deciding to return the work for service before explaining to me the reason for the return. Instead I got an automated email and when I called I was told my work would be "prioritized" for fixing in the next 5-8 weeks. please return my art and money and improve your customer service skills! I attempted to have my sons diplomas framed by Framebridge. We had a fine experience in the store. Then the diplomas were shipped to a central framing facility. Two weeks later we received an email indicating that the 'artwork' was lost. Artwork? They lost hand-lettered art school diplomas. Table stakes for a framing company is having the items that need framing. Their website shows reviews of lost art on a more frequent basis than I would have imagined. Really beyond unacceptable. I would give less than a star if it were possible. read more

The customer service at the NE DC Framebridge was wonderful; patient, insightful and very helpful in helping us decide what frame to choose

I have used Framebridge in the past with good result but my faith in their ability to do a good job in a timely way has declined. I brought in artwork I purchased to the 14th street store. I was told that I would get it back in a week. A week later I received a package containing another Framebridge customers artwork. I brought this person's artwork to the store within a day of receipt. Since then I have tried to find out when I would receive the artwork that I initially brought in and have not been able to get any update on its whereabouts or when I should expect to receive it. read more

Full transparency, I love Framebridge. Before they had brick and mortar stores, I used their online services and had roughly 15 pieces framed, just from using their website and advice from in-house designers. Now that they have their 14th Street location, I have had 3 pieces framed from the 14th Street store and worked with Matt (in-store designer) for each piece. It's such an easy process, Matt is an absolute dreamboat to work with, and I am very grateful. Do yourself a favor--take that cool thing you've been meaning to get framed for months that is collecting dust in the corner of your basement and go see Matt at Framebridge on 14th Street. These guys are legit. I have a custom frame/print shop I like for art, but their customized settings are pretty limited (I couldn't even crop to my specifications). Framebridge basically gave me the flexibility I needed - and I literally got my pieces in a few days. Great experience. read more

Took some pics of my friend with her first and only newborn grandchild and wanted one framed. The one we liked was a bit blurry. I sent it to Framebridge to see what they thought. They determined they could do a 6X8 that wouldn't be noticeably blurry. I then sent them a pic of my friends current framed photo scheme on her wall and they made suggestions on the type and color of framing and matting as designers. I paid(zero shipping) and it arrived within a week. They responded within minutes on each of my communications(telephone, email, etc). Simple, easy, process. Time is money in my book, and this was effortless for me. I used a promo code from babeswhohustle.com(15%, also how I even heard of this establishment) and they honored it without question. I also added some personal details during the process and they were extremely kind, understanding, and gracious. I guarantee there are real people working here and not robots. read more

I went to Framebridge to have a family heirloom re-framed with a more modern frame. What a colossal waste of time and effort this has turned out to be... First the salesman we worked with was not at all helpful and seemed very rushed; acting like we were taking up his precious time even-though he rushed us out the door in less than 5 minutes. I specifically asked and he also assured us that the painting would be insured even when I told him the value. He did not explain that the limit on insurance was $5000 when my piece is worth several times more: He also did not explain that the art would be shipped out of the store. He asked which frame we wanted without offering suggestions. I stated I liked Beverly from what I had seen on-line. He said "Ok" and tapped away at the iPad. I asked if I could see a sample and he begrudgingly took one out of the lower drawer and placed it on the corner of the canvas only to immediately take it and place it back in the drawer; again, very rushed. The fact that he did not offer to see the frame in person was quite odd and rude. He obviously gave NO indication that the frame selected was not possible. How could he? He barely left the frame on the piece for 10 seconds... All around a horrible experience. I highly recommend that there is better training of the sales staff so this doesn't happen to other customers and trades people. They also deleted this review off their official Framebridge website. read more
