I brought it to McLamb's and thanks to American ingenuity and perseverance, they were able to get it off and properly install a new filter. They are also the most honest mechanics I have ever met. And these are the reasons why YOU should also consider them giving your business :) About 3 months ago, my AC stopped working on my 10-year-old Honda Civic when I was on a road trip. I made an emergency stop at a random auto shop to figure out what exactly was wrong. Once I figured out what the problem was and came back to Durham, I started calling multiple mechanics in the area to fix my AC. I received quotes on replacing condenser & dryer and evaporator expansion valve anywhere from $900 - $2000. After considering my finances and online reviews, I decided to go with Quality Auto Service. Not because they were on the cheaper side of the quote. It was because they were the only auto shop who told me and warned me that condenser and dryer come together and make sure no one tries to overcharge me on the two items. They were incredibly honest and did such a wonderful job on my car. To this day, my AC runs fantastic! Couple weeks ago, I had an airbag alarm came up on my car which eventually went out. Based on my mom's recommendation, I took my car to a dealership service center where they charged me $100 to diagnose and quoted me $2100 to fix my seatbelt / airbag sensors saying all 4 sensors in my car need to be replaced in order to fix the airbag alarm issue. It's not surprising I left the shop without fixing anything there... I returned to Quality Auto Service to see if they can give me a second opinion. They checked out my car with free of charge and told me that although there was a history of airbag alarm coming on, there is no issues with my airbag system, the weight sensors in my car work just fine, and I do not need to "fix" anything on my airbag system. I am so glad I found these guys - They are so honest and tell me exactly what I need to fix instead of trying to sell me unnecessary services. I will continue to come back for any car issues. I strongly recommend you give them a call to make an appointment for waiting or dropping off because they get booked up all the time!

As I was returning to my car, I could see it from a distance, someone had "keyed " scratch, the entire length of the driver's side of my vehicle. It was severe. Rule of thump: put water on a scratch on your auto finish, if the scratch disappears it can be buffed out. When I got home I ran the hose,wet the car, the scratch remained completely visible. As I'm new to Raleigh, and new to NC I didn't know who to call. I opened the Yelp app and contacted several repair shops based on reviews. They all responded promptly and gave a quote except one. The first one to respond didn't give me a quote, he set a time for the next day when he could come see it in person. The day Travis arrived a few minutes early and I was ready. He inspected the scratch and gave me a quote, best by several hundred $$ I was skeptical, I told Travis I was awaiting to hear from a couple more shops but I would let him know either way within a couple hours. I had a good feeling about Travis so even though his very much lower price gave me a "too good to be true" vibe, I needed my car fixed so I texted Travis. We set a time for two days later as I had to work around my schedule. Travis' two helpers arrived early, before Travis. They explained they would prep the car and could start immediately. I left them to get started as I had a project had had to attend. When I looked outside maybe 20 mins later Travis was there his truck unloaded, equipment set up. All three seemed very busy. What they had to do to get that scratch out was unreal. The scratch wasn't just to the metal, the metal was scratched as well. It was a lot of work many steps in the process and it took some time. As they neared completion of the project, one of the guys found me in my backyard and filled me in. I started towards my car, already close enough where the scratch was previously visible, I saw shiny pint. I continued to close the distance, scrutinizing with increased intensity. I was at the car, scanning the previously damaged area with my eyes. I saw no sign of any damage, no residual of the scratch whatsoever. My nightmare was over, Travis and his guys made my car look like brand new. I can once again drive my car with pride. I recommend Same Day Bumper and Grill all day every day and twice on Sunday Than you Travis !!
