I wanted to create a custom mat for displaying 10 4x6 photos at a time. I stumbled upon framedestination.com and found 1) An incredibly intuitive interface for what was a pretty complex project 2) A company that followed up with me the next business day after my order 3) Attention to detail and great communication 4) Excellent final product and fast, safe shipping. And very good prices, too. Truly a great resource if you want something unique. read more

Frame Destination had always been my go-to framing company because they promptly replaced anything damaged in transit and generally offered great service. However, during my most recent order--placed about a week before Black Friday--I was told via chat that they would honor the Black Friday discount as long as it fell within a week. When Black Friday arrived and I requested the price match, they refused to honor it. I'm disappointed that they didn't stand by what their representative promised, and this experience has made me reconsider whether I'll continue purchasing from them in the future. read more

I ordered 28 metal frames from Frame Destination. While the quality of the frames was very good, the way they were packaged was amateurish. Instead of individually wrapping all four sides of one frame so that it arrived as a unit, all the metal frames sides were wrapped with frame sides of the same size. So for example, many of the frame sides that were 16" were wrapped in one bundle. Another bundle had many 18" sides. And some of the frame sides were odd numbers with fractions of an inch. It will be a significant challenge to assemble the frames. read more

May 8th I ordered 3 modest-sized frames (2 metal, 1 wood), each with uv plexi, two with mats, and spacers for one frame. Having not heard from them, I emailed on the 19th (11 days after ordering) asking for an eta, and am told my order's delayed as one frame and the plexi is on order and expected "within the next week." May 22 I had not heard anything. I again emailed, because I hadn't expected the delay so long and was going to be away on vacation the first week of June. 'I don't know how you ship or when but I wanted to make sure it didn't arrive when I was out of town'. They replied that they were still waiting on the plexi and it's due to "come in Tuesday," and they'll make sure not to ship it out when I'll be out of town. All very friendly and nice. June 7, I return from vacation and no word. I emailed again asking the status? They responded that "the material has not arrived, ... it will not be here until the end of the month." At no time had I received any update on my order until I contacted them (and I think I was being pretty patient). My final response: "I'd like to cancel my order and be refunded. This has taken entirely too long and I've never been notified about delays until after I inquire. Thank You." I'm now told it will take 5 to 7 business days to get a refund. ... really? I didn't inquire back and have not yet gotten refunded. (It's only been two days...) All the emails were polite and professional, but I received unreliable service (well, I didn't really receive any service, just responses, but they did take my order). p.s.; I may be mistaken but on their website I think it said it'll ship in 7-10 days? UPDATE: Was emailed 5 days later 06/13 and told they were unable to issue a refund to the card as it was declined (my card is fine and is the same one I use daily). I am initiating a dispute on the charge with my bank now. Needless to say I think one should AVOID THIS BUISNESS. read more

I had to come an give Frame Destination a 5 star review because they really impressed me with their customer service and how quickly they fixed my order. I had to reach out to customer service due to an error I made in my order myself and they answered me so quickly and had new glass shipped out to me as quickly as possible. Each time I had a delivery from them the glass came packaged extremely well with enough room and packing supplies that I knew it wouldn't break on the way. Overall, I was extremely happy with the company and the quick customer service I received. I would highly recommend them. read more

Compared to taking your art to a framing shop, this is a great value, high quality frames but you just have to put the art in yourself. I just framed 9 large prints for my home and appreciated the selection and speed of order completion. My local frame shop would have cost triple. I even made a small mistake in the order and customer service made it right. Highly recommend. read more

Never in my life have I struggled more with getting a picture in a frame. What should be a 5 minute job turned into 20 because of the terrible "clips" design. The instructions say to "use a screwdriver or an awl" like what? Who needs to use an AWL to take off a frame backing? Seriously terrible design, it's like it wasn't even user tested. read more

UPDATE: The frame is really great quality. It's floater frame F306. The silver is more gold than silver so be aware of that if you buy it. The gap around the frame is 1/2" and if you choose stretcher frame S110 be aware it's not flush with the frame so connecting it to floater frame not easy. What I did was put frame on a coffee table so the ends hung over but not the sides then I positioned artwork (that I already put on the stretcher frame) in the frame and I laid on the floor and looked underneath and marked where the edges of the stretcher frame lined up with floater frame. Then I laid the artwork and frame flipped over onto its front side. I screwed the clips that hold the frames together onto the stretcher frame with the edge of clip lined up with the line I drew on the stretcher frame. If you put the end clip on first it helps because then you can position the frame on its end leaning up against the wall and the stretcher frame won't slip down. I Screwed all other clips in lined up with the guide line I made. read more

I found these guys online while searching for custom mats with multiple openings. They delivered beyond my expectations. Super fast service! I ordered on Monday evening at around 7:30pm their time, had a shipping confirmation email by noon on Tuesday and they arrived in California on Friday by 2:30pm. Granted I paid a $25 rush fee but I stuck with ground shipping so I am still very impressed with a little under 4 day turnaround from order to delivery. On top of that the mats were cut perfectly and absolutely look great! I am still waiting on the frames I ordered from amazon. Perhaps next time I will have to try them out for frames as well! read more

I have used Frame Destination for 4 projects now. I mostly make my own frames so I have purchased glass, mats, and backboard from them. Since I tend to already have a frame to fill, the dimensions need to be precise. I found that FD is always right on the money - I really can't even detect any small variation from what I specified. I like the tool on their website that allows you to construct your art stackup, and see what it looks like. Also if you have questions, their chat feature works well. Someone responds quickly and knowledgably. If you are going to use them repeatedly, I recommend getting a set of their mat samples - I got around 120 samples and I think it was only about $30. I would not trust the colors you see for selection, as different monitors show colors differently. Their packaging is outstanding - I have not had any damage. And get this - for the last one I had the unopened box standing on end in my study. In the dark, I managed to not only knock it over, but to land my foot directly on it (I weigh 200 lbs.). Opened it up, and not a bit of damage! Overall, seems like a top notch professional company. read more

I wasn't asked to post a review, but feel compelled to do so as this company was totally great. Apparently you can't buy picture frames anymore in Anchorage Alaska in your choice of sizes unless you want to pay big bucks for personalized custom framing. So, I looked online and found Frame Destination. They were really wonderful. Very helpful on the phone when I had questions about exactly how/what to order. The order itself arrived in secure packaging, with all the glass intact. And, it arrived via USPS priority mail with tracking in just a few days. I've now ordered from them twice, with the same good experience both times. Six stars would be more appropriate. read more

My order arrived 5 months ago. It took that long and for me to leave a nasty message saying I would report the charges to my credit card company to finally get a call back or an email. They claim they called me and left emails but directly state in email that they cannot locate their correspondence trail . I've stored all packaging for 5 months and they wanted me to repack and miss work to be available for pick up - all while still paying for the wrong item and not having the correct order . I'm staying with Pictureframes.com ... my entire family uses them and I only used Frame Destination after receiving an email with a coupon. Note to self : cheaper and coupons come at a cost . The owners clearly have no oversight of their customer service department. I would not recommend this business. THIS is a response to the reply from the business below. First of all I have it in writing in an email from your customer service Rep sir that they cannot locate any proof of ever returning correspondence to me over the past 5 months. Second, I've left THIRTEEN VOICEMAILS THAT WENT UNRETURNED AND HAVE SENT MULTIPLE EMAILS - ALL UNRETURNED UNTIL I SAID I WOULD DISPUTE THE CHARGE . Lastly sir it's not just that a mat is not bevel cut - there were supposed to be TWO mats not one and the frame is about 8 inches too small AND it is wood composite not real wood . The order is as messed up as your customer service and you sir are out of line to argue with someone when they post a review detailing their honest experience. Good day sir - and good luck - you'll need it - read more

I cannot be happier! I've ordered like 8 days ago and my frame is here, made it safe and in perfect conditions. Exactly what I wished! Price was much cheaper than current key competitors and the end result is great! Now I have my favourite painting at home!!! Besides this, they guys called me to ensure I ordered what I wanted and gave a lot of advice!. Really good move! I only have to say (as something to improve) that so far the choice they offer is not very wide but if you are looking for something normal and good quality, this is your destination! read more

Frame destination made framing my own art with high quality materials super easy. Usually measuring frames and framing supplies is very complicated, like mat board opening, mat boarder, adjusting for frame rabbet and lip etc... The website makes it super easy! You can input your artwork image and size and adjust all the dimensions for the frame and get a picture of what the final look will be. It makes shopping online for frames simple, and you know what your final result will look like. Heather at Frame Destination helped me solve a situation when a frame material was on back order but I needed to frame the art quickly. We were able to get another material that worked. I'm super impressed with the great service, easy website, good quality materials and great pricing. Would definitely recommend! read more

Highly recommend Frame Destination. Received my order quickly and it was in pristine condition! (PhD packaging) Also, the email updates of when I'd be receiving my order was spot on! After charging my card for roughly $900 of Gallery Pouches, a month later they promised the order would ship a week ago. 3 days after that they ship a smaller order I placed at a later date. Today they say they don't have the material and don't know when they can ship. I had to call them to find this out even though I've emailed them on several occasions to let them know how critical the order is. Extremely poor customer service / business practices. read more

Many kudos to Frame Destination! I have, in the past, ordered metal frames from a half dozen other companies and hands down, Frame Destination is the BEST in terms of quality, customer service, shipment, and cost that I have experienced to date. I was absolutely impressed with the fact that they delivered me glass with an 18x24 frame where nearly all other companies will only sell frames 16x20 and up with acrylic. I placed the order and on the same day the order was shipped. Upon receipt just a couple of days later, the packaging was A+ (no scratches or damages). The contents were pristine and the frames were assembled nicely. Another plus was the glass was crystal clear. I've *never* received a frame from anywhere where I did not have to clean the glass first before adding my art to it. I'm quite impressed with this company. They now have a lifetime customer and I highly recommend them to anyone! read more

I needed a custom frame for an unusual size panoramic photograph and I saw so many good reviews for this company that I figured I give them a try. The frame is beautiful and the process of finding your exact choices was easy even though I am a first-time buyer. Even the way the frame was shipped was very strong and heavy-duty. I'd purchase again from them! read more

REJOICE...and order your frames, mats, and glass from FRAME DESTINATION. You won't regret it. The quality is tops and so is the service. Like owners Mark and Jolie, the 18x24 frames and glass I ordered were thoughtfully organized and efficiently packaged for the consumer. As a photographer who used to build her own frames and order her own glass, I know how frustrating framing can be with the most difficult, time-consuming part... cleaning the glass. Even ready-made frames are often sloppily put together and filthy. But FRAME DESTINATION is terrific. If you want an excellent product, packaged so that the glass is in perfect condition and with perfect directions, order your frames from FRAME DESTINATION. While it took me a little while to figure out the website, the end results was perfect. I've been ordering mats and glass from FD since shortly after the business opened over a decade ago and I've always been pleased with the quallity of the service and the products. I've always picked up since I live in the Dallas area, but I'm sure their method ~ Sarah S. read more

I found their website while searching for an affordable source of custom cut glass/acrylic for framing artwork. They were definitely the most affordable source I found, and I'm extremely happy with my order! I had some really unusual sizes (lots of numbers ending in 1/8 or 3/16, etc), but every piece was cut exactly to my specifications, and even their most inexpensive acrylic looks to be of high quality. They arrived within a couple of days, were packaged very securely, and each different size was clearly labelled. I will definitely be coming back here in the future! read more

I ordered a large custom wood picture frame from them and the quality was outstanding, also the packaging was superior. I highly recommend them. www.framedestination.com read more

Great company. The frames are very good quality at a fair price, and the service is great. The first set of frames I ordered arrived on time, packaged extremely well to avoid damage. A couple of pieces of glass had nicks around the corners; I contacted the vendor and they immediately shipped replacement glass; all they asked was a photo of the damaged glass. When I ordered more frames a few days back, I had some trouble with the website (it was saying that a required field had not been filled out, which it clearly had). After a few emails with the company, someone there *actually called me* and took my order over the phone. I ordered the ready-made frames. They are well-constructed. Everything is held together by sturdy setscrew-based metal pieces. Opening the frame to insert a photo requires unscrewing just two screws and takes only a couple of minutes. The wire hangers run in tracks on the back, so they are adjustable once the wire is strung to control the height if you want to align multiple frames. Definitely no need to look anywhere else. read more

My first order with Frame Destination. I thought pricing and shipping costs were reasonable. The order arrived in good time. The packaging was excellent. The box was left on my doorstep, so I can see how one reviewer might have had problems. I am considering my second order with Frame Destination already, based on my first order. Update. I've placed a few orders since and Frame Destination have always been great. Finding a company that supplies glass - not acrylic - puts Frame Destination out in front! The one time I had a broken glass panel it was replaced quickly and without 'issues'. I know I can rely on Frame Destination; and my photos have the same frame design for a clean and uniform look. read more

I needed a non-standard sized frame for a gift and could not find anything the right size in the frame and craft stores. I thought that I would just have to give the gift unframed because I could not afford to pay a couple of hundred dollars to have the gift professionally framed. Through an internet search I found "Frame Destination" and all of the reviews of that company here on Yelp were so positive that I decided to give them a try. Add my voice to those singing the praises of "Frame Destination". They are great! For about the same price I would pay in a craft store for a mass-produced frame, I was able to order a custom-made real wood frame (as opposed to plastic like the craft stores sell) with real glass (as opposed to acrylic). The price I paid included a sturdy piece of foamboard for mounting my artwork and the points were sturdy and placed exactly where I ordered them--unlike those in mass-produced frames. Having paid for custom framing before, I know that this frame would easily have cost at least 4 - 5 times what I paid Frame Destination. Frame Destination works quickly and does a great job of wrapping their frames for shipment. I got my order in less than a week and I could not believe how well my frame was wrapped when it arrived! It was almost a piece of art itself! read more
