The shop is in located in the middle of a small ally way (don't worry it's not dangerous) so the shop and outdoor seating area is very small. In fact they could just about fit two tables with four chairs outside and leave enough room for people to walk by. The woman didn't seem interested in her job and as they'd run out of change in the till she actually asked if it was OK for her to leave the rest of my change!! It would have been nice is she'd have gone and got some change and put a little smile on her face! However I came here for the food and found it's a nice place to go for lunch as the food looks and tastes good and is tucked away behind Touchwood shopping centre so it was not busy. I got crisps and a homemade sandwich. I found this a good place to eat whilst beating the lunch time rush.

They should rename this place Phat Sandwich because the sarnies are phat and they would probably get more ballers like me and my buds through the doors. Lost a star due to occasional long wait times but I do understand this. Also, five stars surely means perfection and I don't think anything can be truly perfect. Maybe I'm just cynical. Additionally I suppose this isn't the best platform for philosophical debate. Keep it real, Phat Sandwich!

I don't mind as they have some packed sandwiches on the counter, and I'm famished. 'Just these left', the girl apologetically offers with a theatrical and animated grimace. The chicken tikka sandwich I choose is gorgeous. Cold chicken in a sandwich can often be dry, but not here. It's juicy and succulent, and the moist chutney helps it slip down. Upon talking to the girl I find out where the difference between Greedy Guts sandwiches and others may lie. Not only are all the sandwiches made on the premises fresh every day and sold that day, they also cook their own meat on site. They make their own coleslaw. They even poach their own salmon. As they also use local produce the sandwich is well worth the £3.20 I happily pay for it.

There is usually a daily special, and you can choose your own fillings as your order is freshly prepared for you. I can recommend the chicken tikka wrap. To offset the benefits of having a choice and the freshness of your order, you need to be prepared to wait while your lunch is made. Having said that, I have never been in when it is really busy, and so have never waited more than a few minutes for my order. Pick up your lunch here, and head down to the Ford at Barston for some quality picnicking. Greedy Guts also offers outside catering for business functions etc.

As a food lover I thought there was also decent amount of food on the menu that is also simple. I was pleased to know that all the sandwiches are freshly made with your choice of bread (white, baguette, toastie, wholemeal and gluten free.) As well as this some of their cakes are made on site and it tastes even better fresh! The food is filling but not heavy. One day I would love to indulge in their cakes and tea in their garden, which looks great on a warm Summer and Spring day. Even if the weather is bad don't be disheartened because there is also an indoor seating area which is spacious beautifully decorated. Where better to enjoy great tea and tasty food than amongst other tea drinkers in a fantastic and unique British style setting that only a tea room can have?

Set at the back of a 500 year old grade II listed building the café is not at all stuffy as it occupies a gloriously light and bright annex overlooking a beautiful walled garden. The menu is simple but offers a lot of choice. All sandwiches are freshly made with a large choice of bread (white, wholemeal, baguette, toastie and even gluten free.) They also serve jacket potatoes and hot/cold light lunches including cottage pie, pastas, quiches and salads. They also make some of their cakes onsite and the profiterole cheesecake is on my immediate must do list! The café is extremely clean and the staff were super friendly and efficient. Our prawn sandwich and smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel were perfect. Great pot of tea as well.

There is a surreal touch as the table they are sat on looks like it is close to buckling with the weight of these light and airy fancies. Some two dozen traditional English, Mediterranean and artisan breads are baked at the simply named Bread Collection. There is also a delicatessen counter with pickles, chutneys, and a good selection of continental cheeses, including Comte, a kissing cousin of Gruyere. I eat this strong and slightly sweet cheese on its own, a cracker seemingly superfluous, and unnecessary. The foodies dream is made complete with a sit-down coffee shop selling sandwiches, hot drinks, light lunches, and those psychedelic meringues from earlier. In addition to monging fine foods to eat in and eat at home, Bread Collection is a delightful place in which to spend time.

The staff are dead friendly and you always end up stopping for a chat when you nip in for a takeaway snack. The food is simple but tasty and is a mixture of hot and cold stuff. Sandwiches are made to order, and they do nice baked potatoes with a variety of fillings. If you are in the area and are peckish then this is a great place to drop in on. If you want one of the hot pork rolls I mentioned then don't leave it too late - they tend to be quite popular and often sell out quite early in the day.

The staff are always very accommodating and friendly - when i went in on Saturday morning i had a good 20 minute chat with the staff, its always nice to get the local gossip! My usual fayre from here is their hot pork bap - its served (if wanted) with apple sauce, stuffing and gravy and is totally delish. I was taking mine away and when i got home i found that it had been put on a paper plate and wrapped securely in silver foil so was still lovely and hot. Its touches like this that make Emma's Pantry so good. They also do other sandwiches to order, homemade cakes, some pastries, baked potatoes and drinks. I have knocked a star off because when i went in on Saturday there was a lack of sausage rolls/pies etc which would havefurther improved the selection. They also sell cookbooks written by the eponymous Emma although i havent had a look through these. A well established, friendly cafe (there is room to eat inside and, i think, outside, although there is a park nearby so on a nice day you can lounge on the grass and eat your food) which i would highly recommend to anyone.
