We happened to look up places for lunch in the area and found this one so we decided to give it a go. It's a Bavarian restaurant located in a hotel and it was a really nice place for a meal. Menu is extensive with a wide variety of Bavarian and alpine cuisine. A good mix of dishes small and big portions. We had the obatzda to start along with a Wurstsalat and they were both really well made. For main I had the tafelspitz and it was delicious. Came with fried potatoes, creamed spinach and an apple horseradish sauce. I really enjoyed my meal and all the plates went back empty. Service is good and overall reasonable considering the area it's in. I would happily come back here again. read more

Great casual but classy atmosphere. Traditional German food with a chic presentation. One of the best schnitzel experiences to date with a lovely English speaking staff. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Martin F.

Liebe Gäste, von Kindesbeinen an hat die Kochkunst mich fasziniert. Daher war für mich schon immer klar, "wenn ich dann mal groß bin." Nicht nur Kochen: Selbst Gastgeber zu sein war für mich eine Leidenschaft. Dass meine Gäste sich während & nach dem Essen rundherum wohl fühlen, das hatte & hat immer die höchste Priorität. Bald nach meiner Ausbildung zum Koch & Restaurant-Fachmann hatte ich die Ehre, unseren damaligen Bundeskanzler Helmut Kohl vier Jahre lang zu bekochen. In den darauf folgenden 10 Jahren war es für mich sehr abwechsungsreich, denn ich war sowohl als Sommelier & Küchenchef in namhaften Restaurants ("Ente vom Lehel", Wiesbaden) als auch in Erlebnisgastronomie ("Pomp, Duck & Circumstance") & Catering (Käfer) tätig. Nach vielen wunderschönen & abwechslungsreichen Jahren in München eröffnete ich 2005 dann Frühauf im Postillion in Rottach-Egern, das bis heute meine "Heimatbasis" ist & mir sehr am Herzen liegt. 2005 übernahmen wir das erste unsere mittlerweile 7 Kantine.
