Over the past year I have witnessed her growth not only academically but also as a mature and confident individual. The dedication and passion of your teachers and office staff have been truly inspiring. Their commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment has allowed my daughter to thrive and develop a genuine love for learning. She has acquired so much knowledge and has made significant strides in her education. Moreover, the supportive and caring atmosphere at your school has played a crucial role in her personal development. She has become more responsible, self-assured, and socially adept, all thanks to the positive influences and guidance she has received. I am deeply appreciative of all the hard work and dedication that each member of your staff has put into making the school a wonderful place for students to learn and grow. Thank you for everything you do. I am so sad to leave this wonderful school as my daughter embraces public school district. This place will always have a special place in my heart for the amazing work they did.

Their holiday events and graduation are always well organized, lively events for the children and families. The center is very inviting, conveniently located, and offers a variety of programs to children from Infant to 12 years old. Meals are included, as well as enrichment programs in Tae Kwon Do, Soccer, Dance, Yoga, and Music. We would highly recommend this center to local families in need of a great preschool!

They tried to force us to get an aide for her and wouldn't let her come unless one of us parents was there with her. What's the point of paying for private care if a parent has to be there? They ere understaffed and just didn't want to deal with any children who were different. So if your child isn't a robot this place isn't for them. My daughter is now 7 but this nightmare place still lives rent free in my mind. They treated us unfairly and the owner Cynthia projected a lot of her insecurities on us adults. At the end they would not return my money and stole it from me. They suggested my daughter had a learning disability and it ended up being just a speech delay. Imagine hiring a whole bunch of college graduates and not being able to distinguish the difference.

I visited many schools for my 4 yr old, and I was becoming so discouraged. I cried when Lorraine started sharing because I knew that my son would experience emotional safety here, that he would be seen and respected as a unique person, and that he would be given developmentally appropriate opportunities to express agency. I immediately knew that his creativity would flourish here, and I was right. Lorraine told me about how children's feeling are fully accepted; tears are permitted, not shamed. Not coincidentally, emotional validation paired with clear boundaries creates a safe environment, which in turn creates space for uninhibited joy. In the other schools I visited, the children were eerily silent. When I came to Discovery, I heard laughter and I saw kids being kids-- free, creative, silly, working together and joking with one of the teachers. It was gorgeous. Discovery Gardens is a true Reggio-Emilia experience. This is exactly what progressive education should look like, and my only disappointment is that the school doesn't have classes for kids past age 6. The director, Cynthia Greenspan, is a wellspring of creativity and knowledge about child development. Her passion and intentionality are evident in every inch of the beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. She understands what children need to thrive, and her teachers are well educated and attuned; I truly believe that everyone who works here wants to be here. My son's interests have been followed as he's been given freedom in this rich environment, which is exactly how learning ought to take place. He's come back home talking about grubs and invasive species, plants, and space. He's been given responsibility and opportunities to express leadership. I am so thankful for the way Cynthia is running this school, giving children the opportunity to learn through play and experience. The community she has formed here is absolutely beautiful, and I am so thankful that I can have this level of trust in the holistic care that my son is receiving.

They say it takes a village...what better village than Arborland Montesorri!…read more Dr Chen and Ms Chen have created a wonderful place where kids can thrive and really come into their own. It's been a pleasure watching our kids grow under the tutelage of Ms Cole (and Ms Rokosz) and Ms Villaruel and her aides. Admin staff Ms Bree and Ms Kristine are great as well. One thing that stands out is the emphasis on public speaking and developing self-confidence through a variety of performances, events and daily tasks. Academically, expect your kids to reach higher (national) grade equivalency due to their strong course curriculum. Some things that we've grown to appreciate: - Variety of after school activities - Amazing teachers and staff - Convenient location for pickup/dropoff - Involved community via engaged students and parents - Lunch menu that kids actually look forward to eating - Annual events and performances It's unfortunate reading some of the negative reviews. What I've encountered has been nothing but positive feedback and a tribe of dedicated individuals who truly want to see your child succeed.

I'm leaving this review because my child's experience in the primary classroom run by Ms. Cole was…read moredeeply concerning, and the school's response felt unsupportive and not emotionally safe for young children. From the time my son started in Ms. Cole's classroom, we saw a major shift in his wellbeing and behavior. He became anxious about school, and at home we began dealing with behaviors we had not experienced before. Most alarming: when Ms. Cole's name is mentioned, my son becomes visibly distressed. A child being that upset at the mention of an adult at school is a serious red flag and should be taken extremely seriously. Which, they did not. To make sure we were being fair and objective, we observed the classroom via the school's camera for nearly two hours with Dr. Chen, the former school principal. During that time, our concerns were not subtle, they were very clear. The overall tone felt cold and emotionally disconnected, and we did not observe warmth or affection toward the children. In our experience, Ms. Cole and Ms. Rokosz were far from affectionate, especially compared to educators like Ms. Ashley, who demonstrated a noticeably warmer and more nurturing presence. We had the chance to address this to them in person during a meeting. When my husband and I raised concerns, I did not feel the school approached the situation with openness, empathy, or a child-centered mindset. The environment did not feel emotionally supportive, and it did not feel like they were willing to thoughtfully adapt or collaborate to meet a child's needs. For a program that promotes Montessori values, the lack of emotional attunement and support was disappointing. The clearest proof for our family is what happened next: we moved our son to a new Montessori program, and within just five days all of the "bad behavior" stopped. That change was immediate and dramatic. The new school is truly night and day, teachers are warm, affectionate, responsive, and supportive, and the children there genuinely seem happier and more at ease. I don't write negative reviews lightly, but parents deserve to know that this primary classroom setting did not work for our child and the school did not handle our concerns in a way that felt supportive or emotionally safe. I strongly encourage leadership to take a hard look at classroom culture, communication with parents, and how children's emotional needs are being handled, because for us, the impact was significant. I cannot in good conscience recommend enrolling any child in this school.

All the staff, teachers, and the front office have been great. You really can tell a lot when more than just your teacher knows your child's name. I feel like they do a great job keeping the facility secure. My son often eats double triple portions of the food as well. The teachers have been amazing and very patient. I know it's not easy dealing with so many young kids but My son always says he has so much fun and the teachers are really good at sending updated pictures throughout the day without ever missing so I really feel like I know what my student is doing. He's made some great friends. They also do really great events for example today was snow day and my son was so so excited. You could see all the excitement on all the kids faces . They also do a fall fair, seasonal performances, as well as farmers markets so that kids can learn how to shop , overall just a lot of thoughtfulness. However, last year (2024-2025 school year) things changed. I first noticed there were some teachers that left from the previous school year, and some other "minor" changes. Most importantly, the teachers my child had were amazing for Kindergarten! There were truly awesome from the beginning to end. Unfortunately, the administrative staff did not provide the students with a Kindergarten picture and a class picture like the year prior. I personally feel those are important memories for the families and the children. Then as the school year went on, I noticed there were less activities than the prior year. Once the school year ended, MORE great and awesome teachers left the school!!!! I have prior experience working in education and from what I know and have seen, when there is so much teacher turnover year after year, it is because more than likely the administrative staff is not taking care of the teachers. This school has had a tremendous reputation for many many years, however it seems like things are on the decline and yet tuition is going up.

She really takes the time to teach the kids and promotes their independence while still providing the comfort that my sensitive boy needs at times. I just received his annual portfolio and report card and the staff really went above and beyond to put this together for us. Also although my girl is only 3 she already is practicing writing her name and learning about so many different things. Also picking up some Korean words here and there which is amazing. She's also enjoying learning to be independent! They encourage that a lot in school which helps me here at home with how she handles tasks. She's getting such an advantage in education and not only with worksheets (which are important) but also through hands on learning and themed weeks So far she's learned about space, traveling, American and Korean culture, important American history, and so much more! Yes she's 3 and has a lot to learn but learning from this early has been so beneficial for her. They do such cute crafts for all the themed holidays which is my favorite keepsakes at home They are constantly having fun with either birthday parties or parties where the parents have the option to help with donating different foods or treats like ice cream and I don't mind donating at all she loves sharing with her class and bringing things for everyone to try She also gets a great nutrition at the school with daily fresh homemade meals and snack. She's not even picky about greens and veggies since she's been exposed and encouraged at school to try new things all the time. The teachers and staff are very kind and know my daughter very well even if they aren't in her class she knows them all by name. She's also had Christmas performances, ballet performances and they also do taekwondo but my daughter was not interested she did get a free trial though Every penny we spend here is worth it and I definitely recommend it. We know how hard work life can be being away from our kids sometimes and I completely trust them to take care of my daughter while I work. We'd been at iRemnant for 2.5 years and have seen our two children grow up here. They've had some wonderful teachers throughout the years that really loved on our children: Sunny teacher, Moon teacher, Laura teacher, Hyunjoo teacher, Kris teacher, to name a few. And a special shout out to Sunny teacher who even buys birthday presents for the kiddos out of her own pocket :`) Unfortunately, the con's outweighed the pro's for us and we moved my daughter to a different Korean Christian preschool a few months ago. And although this new school is farther and less convenient for us, we are SO happy with our decision. We didn't realize how amazing a preschool could be because we didn't know anything else, so I wanted to share my honest review with all the parents out there who want nothing but the best for our precious children. I'll start with the positives: there's a big, grassy area to play in, lots of bikes and car toys to ride outside, animals on the property, homemade Korean lunches, and many loving teachers. And we are so grateful to have met so many wonderful families at this school. Now onto the negatives... sit tight for this one. 1. There is a high turnover rate of teachers. After Sweet class for ages 2-2.5 in less than a year span, my son had FOUR teacher transitions. Some of the teachers had only stayed for a few months! What also didn't sit right with me is the director didn't even inform us one of his teachers left. She instead had another teacher cover that class and hoped we wouldn't notice? Several parents and I were very upset about that and when I addressed this with director Grace, she blamed the teacher for leaving and didn't take any responsibility for her lack of communication. We all know the reason for a high turnover rate of staff members... and frankly, I don't even blame the teachers for leaving, because they're overworked and underpaid. 2. iRemnant is very profit-oriented. While I understand that childcare is a business, it also feels like the school nickel and dimes the families every chance it gets. For example, there is a supply list for each class and some of the requests are quite ridiculous. They want each student's family to buy color card stock paper that costs $25, aluminum foil, disposable gloves, ziploc bags... things the costly tuition should cover. My husband was especially irked when they asked for ice cream donations from families... something the school can buy for literally $20 for ALL the kiddos. They also ask for mandatory "donations" for things like the Christmas performance for videography and costumes, when they literally recycle costumes every year. It's really not about the money... it's about the principle. Don't say the money you're asking for is one thing when it really isn't... there's no integrity in that and it really bums me out that a Christian preschool does this. PLEASE consider the message you're sending with your actions. 3. There is a lot of sitting down and working on worksheets after the toddler class. At age 2. I don't know about you but I really don't want my two-year-old just sitting and coloring all day. I truly believe kids learn best through play and hands-on learning. I also try to limit screen time for my kids and didn't like how they were exposed to TV before age 2: during meal time setup, worship time (all through screens), and at the end of the day. At 5 PM, they gather all the kids in one room and turn on the screen for them. My son came home talking about all these TV shows and movies he watched, so we started picking up our kids before 5 PM to avoid this. Additionally, I'm really turned off by the fact that the director asks current parents to write positive Yelp reviews once a negative one comes in. How uncomfortable for parents to be put in that position, whose children attend the school and are pressured into writing a positive review. In my book, that's completely unethical (and maybe even against Yelp regulations??). And the amazing teachers you read about in the reviews? Probably not there anymore. I REALLY hope iRemnant can turn things around and use the preschool to BLESS the children and families. How amazing it is to have the privilege of raising these little ones in their mind and character! I write this review to help parents make an informed decision for their children's preschool, and I'm also hoping this may lead to some positive changes at the school.
