Spoke to Matt about it, who was kind, patient and professional, and we had to agree that my $100 amp was going to cost about the same to repair it...if able. Ergo, another fine looking physically mint condition piece of equipment has to be replaced and recycled. Sad that it's more logical to replace with a new warranty amp than attempt repair on this one... Thanks Matt for your valuable time, patience and knowledge!

Vegas Guitars 3975 W Quail Ave #4…read moreLas Vegas, NV 89118 (702) 884-7490 I don't know how many of you have noticed but the low humidity and wide rage of temperature from the low 20's to the high of near 120 is not at all acoustic instrument friendly. For those who have an instrument or two suffering as a result due to Vegas weather I have found a place of repair for you that is quick, affordable and does excellent work. I have played for over 60 years, have a lot of acoustic instruments and a few of them have suffered due to the Vegas weather. I found one luthier who was quite affordable ... but his bandage style repair work left a lot to be desired. I found another luthier with an astounding reputation ... but was available by appointment only and charged nearly what an instrument cost to do the repairs. Like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, I landed one that was just right on my third try. Vegas Guitars, located at 3975 W Quail Ave #4, Las Vegas, NV 89118 (702) 884-7490. Adam Pero is your go to guy for acoustic instrument repair. Anything from a fret buzz to a face split. His prices are reasonable; his work is quick and accurate. I've taken three instruments to him so far and been very happy with the results of al three. While waiting in the lobby for Adam to put some finishing touches on one of my instruments, I was able to observe Neil Smith working on an electric 6-string bass. He was testing the neck from top to bottom playing soft and loud. Then he turned his attention to the pick-ups. There was no question in my mind that he knew exactly what he was doing. I have a Tylor T5z. So far it has no issues, but I know where I will take it for repairs, should that ever become necessary.

FIRST!! :D So what makes this place different than the big shots like Sam Ash and Guitar Center?…read more For starters, City of Las Vegas Music probably has the biggest collection of electronic keyboards I've seen so far in Las Vegas. I'm not a keyboard player but as soon as you walk inside you'll see they have a wide selection of big name keyboards such as Kawai, Roland & much more. I've heard of these brands before but most of the time they're only accessible online or outside of Vegas. I'd say most of the selections are for seasoned players although they do have some selections that are great for beginners and experienced players alike. Aside from keyboards, they have a few selections of saxophones, violins and electronic drum sets. You won't find guitars (not yet anyway) here so they certainly feel more of a niche musical store but a good one at that. If you play any of the above instruments I mentioned you can probably get a good deal because they are an authorized dealer, meaning they have some flexibility in regards to retailing and pricing. The owner and manager Victor are friendly and cool people :) They were kind enough to let me take some photos of the interior. It's still fairly new but more inventory is on the way. If you're a musician I recommend you visit or bookmark this place for a future visit. Definitely always a plus to see a local music shop open to compete against the big corporate stores.

A Life-Changing Musical Journey for Our 5-Year-Old Daughter…read more I cannot recommend Las Vegas Voice and Piano highly enough! As parents, we had absolutely no experience with music education and weren't sure what to expect when we enrolled our 5-year-old daughter just four months ago. She came in as a complete beginner--couldn't read a single note, had no concept of rhythm or counting, and had never touched a piano. Today, she's confidently playing songs independently, reading music fluently, and has developed a genuine passion for music that brings our whole family joy. From the very first lesson, Michael and Marta welcomed our entire family--my husband, our daughter, and myself--into their beautiful, professional home studio with such warmth and genuine care. They treated our daughter not just as a student, but as a young musician with unlimited potential. Their teaching approach is the perfect blend of patience, structure, and encouragement that has allowed our daughter to flourish beyond our wildest expectations. The progress we've witnessed in just four months is nothing short of extraordinary. Our daughter now reads music notation with confidence, understands rhythm and counting, knows all the piano keys by heart, and can play most songs completely on her own. Watching her sit at the piano and work through pieces independently--something that seemed impossible just a few months ago--brings tears to my eyes. Her technical foundation is remarkably solid for such a young beginner, which speaks volumes about the quality of instruction she's receiving. One of the proudest moments of our lives was watching her perform in her first recital. The confidence she displayed on stage, the poise in her playing, and the pure joy on her face throughout her performance--that was all thanks to Michael and Marta's nurturing guidance and belief in her abilities. They prepared her not just musically, but emotionally, helping her feel ready and excited rather than nervous. What truly sets this studio apart is Michael and Marta's teaching philosophy. They are incredibly patient, never rushing through concepts but ensuring our daughter truly understands each element before moving forward. They're steady and consistent, providing the structure that young learners need while making each lesson engaging and fun. Most importantly, they're genuinely encouraging--celebrating every achievement, no matter how small, and turning mistakes into learning opportunities rather than sources of frustration. We've watched our daughter blossom before our eyes in ways that extend far beyond music. Her confidence has soared, her focus and discipline have improved, and she's discovered a creative outlet that she truly loves. She now asks to practice daily and gets excited about her weekly lessons. This transformation in such a short time is honestly incredible and is a testament to Michael and Marta's exceptional teaching abilities. If you're looking for music instruction for your child--whether they're a complete beginner like ours was or have some experience--Las Vegas Voice and Piano is the perfect choice. Michael and Marta's dedication, expertise, and genuine love for teaching create an environment where children don't just learn music; they develop a lifelong appreciation for it. Thank you, Michael and Marta, from the bottom of our hearts. You've given our daughter an invaluable gift that she'll carry with her throughout her life. We're so grateful to have found you and look forward to many more years of musical growth under your guidance!

I grew up singing in church but have never had formal lessons, so as an adult, I decided to invest in voice and learn proper technique. Michael challenges me in the best ways possible to push me in stretching my abilities and making sure I understand each concept along the way. The improvements I've seen in my voice in just a few months are beyond what I expected, and I feel more confident both in and outside of lessons. I can't recommend Michael enough to anyone looking for a teacher who is not only highly skilled, but also passionate about helping their students grow.
