The one phrase that will resonate in my mind and what I was told by many clients of Foxtail is that "Zahra will fix it" . Let me tell you something about Zahra. I got my haircut at Foxtail by a man named Jeff that did not know how to cut mix textured biracial hair and kept gaslighting and convincing me that my hair was "too dry" I did not appreciate this man scapegoating his poor technical skills to make it about me and make it my fault, And convincing me that my dry hair is the reason why I have a bad haircut. I refused to believe that. I previously got a gorgeous cut from the Cheri a year before (when I had actually had more damage to my hair than I had this time around). I reported this complaint directly to the salon and got it handled immediately and I'm so grateful. Not only did they refund my money for the bad hair job Zahra decided to take on my hair and fix it! I didn't think that there was anything that could be done with how bad my hair was cut. So two days later (today) I went in and got the haircut from Zahra and not only did she correct the horrible mistakes , she made me look more beautiful than I could've ever imagined. Rosemarie is fantastic -- very detailed, deliberate, and talented. I have weird curly-wavy hair and I trust few people with it, but I know I can vaguely explain what I want to Rosemarie and she'll get it right every time. She takes the whole appointment time because she's so detail-oriented and doesn't stop until it's perfect. And she's great for introverts - she'll chat if you want but she's totally happy working in silence. For me, it's a huge relief not to be reaching for topics (I used to ask my old stylist to recap Walking Dead episodes for me so I could avoid talking). The shop is low-key and cute. Where Brittney goes... me and my short hair follow! :) I've been having her cut my hair since June, and it's always and amazing positive experience. This is my first time seeing Brittney at this new salon which, by the way, is a lovely and fabulous salon. Very zen, chill and comfortable to be in. Also just want to note (As a further declaration of proof to Brittney's awesomeness) that I travel a bit of a distance to get to her, and with LA traffic it takes me about an hour to get there, and it's definitely been worth it every single time, and yes, I'd even travel longer distances if I needed to, because I mean really, what's an hour or two for a slamming hair cut right? Brittney is patient and LISTENS to what you want and if you are very neurotic and apprehensive (ahem... hello me) she'll check in with you to ensure it's all going in the right direction for your needs. I know with me, she'll even ask if it's okay to cut a certain area shorter or leave it as is. Love that. She is talented, professional and super sweet. I really like keeping my hair super short and she is extremely skilled at short hair cuts. I've had short hair cuts done by others and well, ummm... I'd rather not discuss those instances because it had previously resulted in PTSHD (Post Traumatic Short Hair Cut Disorder). But... Brittney changed that for me, she's a wiz with the scissors and buzzer/clipper thingy, and I just adore her! The Foxtail salon has a good amount of street parking and it's unmetered which is awesome, not many places like that left in LA. I am used to travel a lot in Europe and Asia, and so I am used to all the "trendy" or "recommended" hair salon from London to Taipei, but I must admit I was really impressed by the quality of the job done at Foxtail. First the place does not pay much but still is very nice and trendy, simple but fun, but the people working there are really nice and very professional. I had Bridget. I must say that I came out very happy with what I consider the best haircut I had since more than a year ago.
