From dog parks- friendly pet homes - pools - workout areas and much more. The maintenance crew is spectacular and so are the leasing / administration agents. Shoutout to BEN for finding my card on the floor somewhere in this area. I was about to place a new request but you have prevented me from that. Anyways this place provides nice security for the community here. The transportation system is also to my liking. &&&&&& On top of that, the team here is quick to attend / execute what needs to be fixed for exp; there was a power outage here not too long ago which came on 4 hours after. ‍Luckily the security key pad wasn't shut off but still running! My friend moved to Foxchase recently and it's upsetting seeing so many negative reviews. Their apartment was clean, had nice floors, an updated kitchen, and a secure outer door and keyless front door that could be unlocked remotely using the phone. So far, apartment is clean, parking is limited but can still be found without purchasing a pass, and packages have been delivered. So far, so good. TLDR; Foxchase/AIR Communities = lies, unsafe conditions, hidden fees, and deposit scams -- avoid at all costs. BAIT AND SWITCH!!! DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH FOXCHASE OR AIR COMMUNITIES. Living here was a nightmare from start to finish. Don't be fooled by their marketing; the reality is nothing like what they sell you. Disgusting grounds: Dog feces everywhere. Tenants don't clean up, and management's response was literally, "We'll alert the cleaning crew." Spoiler: nothing changed. Forced internet scam: You're forced to pay for their proprietary internet service -- no choice, no opt-out. This is a direct violation of Virginia law Manipulated reviews: Maintenance requests are twisted into pressure campaigns for 5-star Google reviews. Expect constant emails and flyers begging for fake positivity -- a clear deception and violation of Google's terms of use. Blatant safety hazards: -Dryer vents never maintained = fire risk. -Smoke detectors left inoperable for over a year. -A "secured" building door that anyone could pull open. -Zero action against repeated package thefts. -Noise complaints about neighbors screaming at their kids for hours, children crying nonstop, and other tenants feeling unsafe were ignored until the police had to be called. Deposit scam: We were told in writing that our move-out was "all set" and the unit was in great shape. Management first tried to claim a "cleaning issue," then backtracked once they admitted the apartment was professionally cleaned. No mention of painting or other charges. Yet, they still dragged their feet for over two weeks, ignoring calls and emails, before finally returning our full deposit. Foxchase and AIR Communities consistently overlook resident safety, ignore tenant concerns, and operate on dishonesty. Manager here has no clue what they're doing and never answers calls during "business hours" have to wait 5 days for a call back. Additionally having problems with rodents and the management continues to do nothing. Dog shit is pilling up everywhere and in the dog park no one takes care of. HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT LIVING HERE. there's a bunch of fees and deposits they want to scam you extra charges out the ass. maintenance is decent except they don't follow through with the requests they come check briefly and not the under lying issue. Because of some kind of miscommunication, my apartment was raided of all of my personal property, which was then destroyed. I needed one more day to remove my stuff from my apartment, which I confirmed with Daymond and Kelvin at the office. When I walked into my apartment to clean it today, I found that all of my remaining personal property was loaded into trash bags and thrown into a dumpster. Foxchase Apartments tore up artwork that my dead friend made me. They threw away precious family photos. Grown men picked up my used panties and threw them away. I wake up this morning to three random men on my balcony "doing construction improvements" that allegedly are "not handled through foxchase but rather through corporate according to the community manager, Stephanie Hall. When we finally contacted Stephanie to inform her that we had three strangers with no gloves or protection on our balcony during a GLOBAL VIRAL PANDEMIC , she hung up on us. So on top of the fact that no notice was sent, and that once the property manager was contacted she hung up on us, we also were put at risk due to unnecessary, unprotected, exposure of catching a virus due to gross mishandling and coordinating of a COMMUNITY MANAGER. These people are crooks, no way around it. my daughter lived here for a year and they have a system of keeping your security deposit and making up false issues to charge you for it. They are smart enough to not do it to every resident. My daughter apartment had mice and bugs. The front door wasn't secure and packages were stolen and kids were knocking on doors late at night. When she moved out, she cleaned her apartment from top to bottom. she even took video and sent to management to prove she cleaned it. I along with my husband helped her move out and the place was clean. within 3 weeks, she received a letter notifying her that she would not get her deposit back with a list of charges totaling $1900. Charges were for painting the apartment, floor repair and various confusing items including a "smell". That smell was most likely the rodent spray done by the complex and the peppermint my daughter tried to use to help with the mice infestation. These charges were made up and did not reflect the actual condition. When the original Yelp review was posted, someone from the community team replied on yelp saying she would assist my daughter. WARNING - those responses are from a reputation management company, and when my daughter reached out, she was told to contact the management company for the complex - which she had done prior to the yelp review. fast forward 3 months. my daughter was informed she was being referred by collections. she received several phone calls from unknown with a voice mail that was incoherent. When she tried to call back the vm stated she had called during non business hours - in the middle of the day! Apparently those calls from unknown were to tell her she was being referred to collections. additionally the leasing/front office onsite has not been helpful and she's reached out to Damon several times. DO NOT RENT HERE. They will do anything to keep your security deposit and try to charge you for extra nonsense. They charged a $350 painting fee! Our walls were clean! We were charged a $150 cleaning fee when trust me when I say we scrubbed the whole apartment for hours before vacating! We have lived in multiple nice apartments and always left them clean and received our full deposits from them. They also gave us a huge issue when we moved out due to the military relocating us and mind you, legally they can't hold us! Parking also sucks and people smoke inside the building and all management does is put up a paper saying not to. Many people complain about rodents and bugs in the buildings but nothing gets done. My power would constantly shut off and restart the whole system probably once a week. Our water would be shut off without any notice or heads up and this has been multiple times. Pay a little more to live somewhere where you won't get a headache. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: After posting my review about 13 days ago, I immediately got calls from management and maintenance. They did a more professional treatment (broke a wall in the living room and all) by a pest company. The pest people informed us that indeed there was a hole in the back of the dishwasher from where the mice were getting in and out and claimed to have fixed it completely. I think they said the problem was from the AC balcony door or whatever. The owner replied to my comment asking me to email them directly but made sure to state on his reply that I signed a contract and fees apply if I vacate early NO MATTER THE ISSUE. The first two days, everything seemed clear and up until now I have not seen any roaches. HOWEVER, now there seems to be ants coming out from the walls which never happened before. Every day I find mice poop on my counter and all over my closet and my room. I guess they covered one of the holes but as I mentioned it in my initial review, the building is COMPLETELY infested. Yesterday, I was in my bathroom and saw a little mice coming out of my wall (see pics of the corner hole) and saw that they are now INSIDE MY CLOSET. The issue is now worse because you can literally hear the mice running around the walls, the kitchen, everywhere. At this point, I'm sure I'm exposing my family to a health issue and there seems to not be a solution or middle ground. So PLEASE think twice before moving in here and if you are offered a building on IVERSON or HOWARD ST, just know what you are signing up for. read more

Whatever you do, avoid this place PLEASE. I gave this complex more opportunities and the benefit of the doubt so many times because there were some nice people in management but I was basically screwed over. I considered renewing my lease but after so many issues, I needed to get out. To begin, there were many security issues with the building and the front door. It is incredibly dated and still requires a master key. The wooden doors were constantly breached by trespassers who would unlawfully enter the building to steal packages (which I called police for), hangout in the laundry room and smoke (called police for) and loitering and even banging on a neighbors door and then leaving (called police). I called police twice within a week for these entries for which they took down the incident. Maintenance finally decided to install a new front door just as I was vacating which from reports from neighbors now, still has issues. I documented these work orders each time they happened and when I went to print these requests, foxchase conveniently deleted all past requests. Next is the pest problem. When I first moved in, I found mouse droppings all over for which I submitted a request and was told on the phone that the current pest control company was not cutting it and that they would seek out additional resources for this problem. I bought my own non toxic rodent repellent which was just peppermint oil and it worked temporarily, but I still found dead mice on my deck and then in the final months living there, I actually caught a live mouse who was running around the unit. Another thing was parking. I paid every month for a parking permit when I noticed that it was becoming slim and people without passes were parking routinely in paid lots. When I asked, management assured me that they had a towing company who checked passes routinely but this was not the case. Every night as I walked back to my unit I noticed countless cars without passes parking in paid lots. There were even several abandoned cars with flat tires, debris and expired tags just sitting in the lot for months. When I finally contacted management for the 3rd time after being told to contact the towing company and going back and forth, the abandoned cars were finally towed. I had yet to see tow trucks actually survey the lot for parking permits in cars which I was assured they did. However I work remotely and my unit was right next to the lot and not once did I ever see that in effect. They are money hungry and predatory. They know people are attracted by the lower rents in the area, but this is all apart of their scam. When you move out, they require a mailing address to send your supposed check for your deposit, when they actually have your bank account information already when they take rent out every month. This is all because instead of sending you a check, they send you an invoice of all the alleged damages you owe. I had some obscene charges incurred for nonsense work that was apparently outsourced and when I asked for documentation and a receipt of that work that was done that apparently costed $500, I was not given it. They dont specify the charges in that report and you have to call and ask. Painting (which is traditionally customary after every move out in every other complex) is an additional charge of $300. Normal wear and tear is documented as damages. I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB about my experience as a resident and I encourage all former residents with a similar experience to do the same. This complex needs to be avoided like the plauge. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY MOVING HERE YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!!! read more

Update: MILITARY DO NOT LIVE HERE. They are charging us $5000 with military orders. We've spoke to JAG and now we will have to go through the legal process on top of PCSing this month. Already a stressful time and now they want to give us a early termination fee with orders. Do not live here. They have a mice problem, walls are extremely thin you can hear everything, you can smell all the smells from all your neighbors. Mostly unpleasant smells. We have military orders and they are going to charge us to break our lease. People park in the parking spots when they aren't suppose to. They never tow. People don't pick up after their dog. Oh Foxchase, where to start? The leasing office staff who incorrectly filed my lease three times, and doesn't actually care about the residents? The horrible parking and dilapidated lots with barely visible lines and no lights for safety? The building doors with broken locks allowing anyone access to your building? The packages being stolen if left outside your building? The shady people hanging out in groups at night by our cars? The towing company who tows any vehicle they can even if they aren't called? The pest issues? Oh, how about the God-awful smell that frequently fills our staircase? Imagine sh*t and vomit being sautéed in butter. Yep. It's honestly that bad when it happens and yes it does seep into your apartment. Seriously, I can go on about why you should not live here. The bottom line is that this place is a sh*t show. The community manager, Kelvin, has plainly admitted to me in person that they "are a company, and can not put themselves in the shoes of their residents." I really wish I was kidding. They blatantly do not care. If you can get through to the leasing office via phone or email consider yourself lucky. If the staff doesn't hang up on you - consider yourself even luckier. I get it - these are budget apartments compared to the rest of the area, but you WILL regret moving into Foxchase. Trust me. I speak for myself, my two roommates, and three neighbors who are only still here because of financial status. If you can afford to go somewhere else, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Foxchase, please don't respond. Really, please don't. I've made it painfully clear in every communication with your staff what I think of them and your community. Some half-assed and empty response isn't going to change this. I've even complained to the Aimco regional manager more than once. **EDIT 2 WEEKS AFTER FOXCHASE RESPONSE** I would love to say that Susan from Aimco reached out to me, addressed my concerns, and everything is great, but sadly I can't. They never answer the phone and when the phone goes to voicemail and you leave a message they never call you back and you can call like 20 times and they never answer and I mean this is during their business hours that they never answer you can call a different times but he still don't answer and I've been here for almost a year and it's the same thing. Bryce at Foxchase reached out to me after my tour and I explained my situation and told him I needed a month to support my family. He was very understanding and offered his well wishes. My roommate and I moved out of Foxchase at the end of June, and I haven't looked back since. We were charged an extra $20 for our move-out cleaning fee because of "extra cleaning" that needed to be done, despite the fact that a flat fee was listed on our signed notice to vacate. I called to ask why the additional fee was rendered, but their corporate customer service person was entirely unhelpful and unsympathetic, unable to point to concrete evidence that our apartment required "additional cleaning" (which is insane, because my roommate and I literally spent a full day after moving out to clean up, even though we were told we didn't have to). We were eventually refunded the $20, but it took over a month and only happened after reaching out twice again to the offsite customer service team. They will say anything to get you to sign a lease, treat you like garbage while you're living there, and will try their best to nickel and dime you on your way out. I recently moved out of a one-bedroom renovated unit after living there for 18 months. Pros: Foxchase is quite cheap The green spaces are nice, though there aren't really any seating areas/amenities set up outdoors. Cons: The renovations are very surface-level -- insulation and sound-proofing are very poor (we moved in in early January to find the heat was not functioning...they fixed it the next day but it was a very cold first night) and the buildings are poorly sealed so pests (mice, cockroaches, bugs with a millions legs I don't know the name of) are a big problem... ...even though twice a year you have to take literally everything out of your kitchen, bathroom, and closets so they can come in and spray really noxious pesticides. We got a hotel for the night both times to try and avoid breathing in the fumes. It can be really hard to get to management through their endless phone tree. They added a lot of unexpected charges when we moved out, as well, which was non-negotiable. read more

Absolute worst place I've ever lived. There is a reason the prices seem low, folks. Let me try to be concise. *The complex has a big bedbug/mice issue *I dealt with bedbugs, had a pest control no-show after spending hours and hours prepping my apartment (all the way down to unscrewing outlet shields and dismounting my TV), then was charged $80 for them to re-schedule treatment, which I was not refunded for. *I am highly allergic to the bugs, and the issue wasn't being taken care of. Once giving 60 day notice, I had to hunt for a new apartment immediately because I was experiencing horrible swelling from the bites. After a particularly bad bed-bug incident resulting in a hospital visit due to anaphylactic shock, I promptly signed at a new apartment complex and pleaded with Foxchase management to let me break the lease only 19 days early. They declined. Safe to say, I will be taking legal actions. Really, really horrible experience. read more

Foxchase apartment are the worst apartment I have ever lived in. If you are able to find something else I would suggest you living there. When we first moved in we had water bugs for months. Once that was done we had a ants EVERYWHERE. But I could handle that, what I couldn't handle was the MICE. I found droppings on the floor on the counters tops. Then I found some on my headboard. I lived there for a 9 months and I couldn't handle it nomore. I broke my lease and left. Also when I moved in I was 8 months pregnant so I had my infant living in this disgusting place. Please Please dont do this to yourself. If I could give Foxchase 0 stars I would. Management sucks, apartment are old and that's why all the mice could enjoy invading pals home. So as I've been looking for other apartments in the area within a decent price range I notice that all of them are just about as equal to Foxchase. There's always something I'm finding I'll have to compromise or other bad reviews on yelp. Pros of Foxchase: -Parking. There was a good amount of parking off of north Howard where my apartments was located and also parking for guest. This was a major plus for me because parking can be a hassle at other complexes or either you need visitor passes etc. but not here. - I loved the Hardwood floors throughout. -Nice closet space with mirrors. -Decent bathroom. I had to get maintenance to recaulk it once and clean the grout for me. -maintenance comes out in a decent time. Cons: -Kitchen cabinets. Very woody, not smooth on inside. I did not have an updated apartment. The kitchen in general was just bland and outdated. I would suggest getting an updated apartment. -I began to have an issue with roaches that didn't last past maybe two weeks... I sprayed my own pest control products when I first moved in and whenever I felt necessary. When I noticed a roach here and there I had pest control come out. Soon after the nasty pest we're gone what seemed like immediately. If I had any other issue or was paranoid, I would have pest control out whenever and as soon as I spot any insect. Luckily my issues never got out of hand because of this. -the laundry room creeped me out just a tad as well as the mailbox area. I would spot an occasional spider hanging out. -balcony was little run down but I never went out there. All in all my experience here wasn't as bad as I thought it was. This was my first apartment after moving out of my parents house and I can say I have had worst experiences at a higher priced apartment complex than I've had here. I've seen a lot of other bad reviews and I must note my issues were never that serious and I never came across any mice. I kinda miss ol Foxchase in a way. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Save your money. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I came here looking for a new place. I was young and starting my career. Your rent will be HIGHER than they originally tell you. I was paying $200 more than what was in my contract because of a lot of small hidden fees. They have mice and roaches and pest control doesn't seem to work IMO. Despite all this, they will FIND a way to NOT give your security deposit back. (They will also not let you know anything during the pre move out inspection. You'll just get a surprise bill) Parking is terrible depending on where you stay. There would be a lot of times I wouldn't go to the store to get something I needed because I knew there would be no parking (which I paid for monthly) when I got back. So I basically paid for a service I couldn't get. They focus their attention on the more expensive reserved spots. Next, don't even expect them to do anything on time. To say it's disappointing living here than what they pretend and promise to be is an understatement. They rent out "renovated" apartment - the floors are scratched, all the cabinets in the apartment are discolored and spotted, the walls are dirty, the appliances are dented. If you have no choice but to live at Foxchase - take a ton of fotos of all the damages, you'll be finding them as weeks go by. And, of course, there is one main issue I've been having with them for now 6 months (can't move - lease) - smoking neighbor. The woman in the apartment below smokes (used to be weed, not just cigarettes or whatever tobacco of her choice) and parts of my apartment reek. I avoid using half of my apartment that I pay $1700 for. They simply refuse to address the issue with her. They send me automated replies and that is it. Nothing changed in half a year. They make you sign an agreement to not smoke when you are leasing, they call themselves smoke-free "community", it's in every one of their papers, fliers and ads. But it is a shameless lie. They simply can't and won't enforce it. So - if you smoke - you can smoke all you want, just do it inside so no one sees you. They can't do anything about it. Just disregard the agreement - you'll be fine. Then another issue - the apartment entry doors are very heavy and they slam with a very loud disturbing thump, and you may end up living with neighbors with low civil responsibility who don't give a damn if it bothers others - they and their kids will slam those doors 30 times a day and you can't do anything about it. Was not properly told the application process. Originally was working with a female leasing associate then turned over to Elijah. After receiving my money and asking all the relevant questions he goes on to say if I was in willing to pay 2 month security deposit then my application was denied. They trick you by waiving administration fee to make you feel like you are going to only have to pay a $500 security deposit plus application fee. Then when I asked to speak with someone else he claimed he would send a email. Why wasn't there more precautions taking before immediately trying to get $3,400 dollars from me for a 500 square foot apartment. Glad I read some of the reviews for this place. I thought this place was very secure in a nice neighborhood but I see their could be a best and security problem. I lived in Foxchase for 2 years and here is my experience: Safety: As seen in previous Yelp reviews, there are many security issues with the building and the front door. You are informed that the wooden doors require a master key to enter; however, this is not true. The door is consistently unlocked and/or broken. All a person has to do is yank on the door with a little extra strength and you have access to the main stairwell, laundry room, and resident mailboxes. One person, whom I frequently saw purposely break the door and then bang on our neighbor's front door, was later arrested with said neighbor. As a younger female, I did not feel safe walking around by myself. The pathways to the gyms are poorly lit. The gym has many windows. At night, you can only see your reflection in the windows, but people outside can easily see you. There were several instances of people banging on the windows and trying to scare me. Additionally, the apartment complex is located next to Alexandria Hospital. It is typical for DC's homeless population to find food and a safe place to rest their heads at this facility. Although there is nothing wrong with the hospital's efforts to help this community's most vulnerable, there are many undomiciled people and people in green gowns (given to patients with psychiatric conditions) roaming the streets in this apartment community. As I was walking to my car one morning, I was chased by a person who appeared homeless and proceeded to stand in front of my car so I could not leave. Luckily, I locked my car doors quickly and the person eventually lost interest. Per reports, 4-5 men threw Molotov cocktails into the 7-Eleven on our street. Parking: We initially paid for 2x permits for the parking lot. We quickly realized that finding parking was a major issue and we would often end up having to park on the streets, which defeats the purpose of paying for a permit. We both opted to pay for a reserved spot. His reserved spot was across the street, under a tree, and almost always flooded. His car sat in ~0.5 feet of water so often that there was algae growing in the spring and a permanent outline of the bottom half of his tires made out of mud and snow in the fall/winter. As we both do shift work, we would return to our apartment late at night or in the early mornings. After a strenuous 12 hours on your feet, you are looking forward to the knowledge that you only need to walk from your reserved spot to your apartment after work, right? Wrong. People often parked in our reserved spots forcing us to park elsewhere. If you are thinking, I pay $60 for a reserved spot...if it is taken, I can park elsewhere in the permitted, first-come first-serve spots just overnight...Wrong. You get towed. Pest Problem: Although we are very clean and tidy people who lived on the second floor, we frequently had mice and cockroaches in our apartment. We immediately contacted maintenance as soon as we spotted these pests and were told that the problem was handled. WRONG. After notifying them about more mouse droppings on the kitchen counters, "The pest people informed us that indeed there was a hole in the back of the dishwasher from where the mice were getting in and out and claimed to have fixed it completely. I think they said the problem was from the AC balcony door or whatever." (from Ellie H. review - so it seems as if this is a common problem). Although they closed the hole, we saw ANOTHER mouse. They moved the stove this time and found ANOTHER even larger hole. Smoke-free community: False: Multiple people in our apartment complex smoked. The smoke travels into your apartment almost 24 hours/day. Lease: If you are not scared by my previous comments and have decided to proceed with living at Foxchase apartments... Be aware that your lease automatically renews. Although the emails leading up to the end of your lease state "if your journey takes you elsewhere, please provide your written notice to vacate 60 days in advance." It is not a courtesy to let them know you are not renewing your lease, it is a requirement with a noncompliance fine. As we let them know 52 days in advance that we were choosing to not renew our lease and move out when the lease ended we were charged $405.50. As you will see in other online reviews, you will not get your security deposit back. As it was explained to us after we moved out, if you put one painting up, aka a single tac on the wall, they will charge you for the painting of your entire apartment ($294.67). Do not worry about cleaning prior to moving out. They hire a cleaning company that charges you $130.00 no matter the state of your apartment. read more

I lived on Taney Ave from May 2017 through August 2018, I could not WAIT for my lease to end! The locks on my first floor windows were small lengths of pvc pipe. The building had to be evacuated because of a gas leak that started directly under my unit! They never do basic maintenance on these things, they wait till something breaks then have to screw over the residents of the unit. You can never get through to the leasing office to actually talk to a manager or someone about a problem. The maintenance people are the only saving grace for this place, they're super efficient and do a pretty great job. I could go on, but as I have heard from a friend who is currently still living there, waiting out the end of her lease, not much has improved at all. Do not waste your money in this place. read more

I take back anything positive I ever said about Foxchase. I was happy here my first year, but it's been disgusting for my second year. Please Avoid! Mold issues galore. My HVAC had black mold and they still won't show me proof the work was done (apparently it was done in July). Have been emailing and calling for weeks and nothing. The building next to mine had severe black mold also. They didn't even send out notifications to the rest of the tenants in my building regarding mold issues. Laundry room has pests and mold on the walls (totally visible). I can hear every step the person above me takes, and when they pee. I live next to the mailbox and people throw their junk mail in front of my door frequently. Last week had about 1000 termites covering the building and they were flying at me when I came in and out of the door. No exhaust fans in bathrooms so more mold concerns!! Parking sucks, spots are tiny. Your car doors will get effed. People smoke in my building and my bathroom reeks all the time from smoke drifting into my apartment. They sent out flyers next year but haven't seemed to care much more than that. The leasing office redo looks great but the apartments look nothing like that! Please don't believe it. Last straw -- I was followed in the parking lot last week and I do not feel safe. The "secure" door to my building is just a magnet. So easy to open that people don't even use their keys, they just rip the door off the magnet. I complained about this when I first moved in but no one cared. read more

Horrible place to rent from! RENTER BEWARE! Here are a few of the reasons Foxchase has been the worst place I've ever rented...1. Dog poop everywhere. And I do mean everywhere! My dog (a service dog) got sick from stepping in another dogs poop. I have brought this to the attention of management on several occasions. We got video proof of a tenet not picking up his dogs poop. Even with evidence, nothing was done about the dog poop by management. Reason number 2. In the two years that we rented from Foxchase, not once was the air filter on the vent replaced. I was 35 weeks pregnant, and getting horrible headaches when my doctor asked me about our air vent filters. To my horror I found the most disgusting air filter in our unit. We had been breathing in toxic air for years!! They should be changed every 6 months. I had to beg the maintenance crew for a new filter, it was the middle of a sweltering heatwave, I was dying from the heat because I couldn't turn the AC on due to a filthy filter, and I was very pregnant. It took them 3 hours to get a filter to my unit...which I then had to replace myself! So if you are pregnant, have breathing issues, are an elderly person, I would highly recommend that you demand new filters every 6 months. They won't change it unless you ask. **See attached photo of our air filter** Reason number 3. The move out process was the most horrible experience I've ever had with a move out. It took us having to get our lawyer, our veterans rep, and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to finally have Foxchase fix the outrageous move out bill. And by outrageous I mean a $1600 difference on our move out bill!! I tried for weeks calling the administrative office and no one returned my calls or emails. Don't settle! They will try to nickel and dime the hell out of you when you move out!! I could keep going, but if you still decide to rent from this place after all the warnings and reviews of other people who had a negative experience, then maybe this hell hole of a place is just for you! read more

Foxchase - Air filter - Apartments Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

I've been living here for almost a month, I love my apartment and the general community but maintenance needs work. I tried calling the emergency hotline for over an hour after my patio lock malfunctioned and locked me outside. Instead of ever hearing back from maintenance I had to ask the mail man to get into my apartment and unlock the door for me. Not only was this incredibly inconvenient but for a maintenance emergency mid day on a week day the emergency hotline was unreliable and unresponsive. I've loved the living experience other than two power outages and lock malfunctions. read more

I sincerely hope that no other residents have had COVID- related impacts because this corporation couldn't care less. I was an ideal tenant- auto paid on time every single month. Renewed lease right before COVID hit. Could no longer afford my lease post-COVID, had family emergencies, communicated this all to the front office. Gave 60 days move out notice which extended one month into my new lease. Know what they did? Charged me $6k!!!!! Are you freaking serious. Extremely shameful and exactly why I could never sell my soul to work for a corporation. Extremely disappointed and have no resources to dish out THOUSANDS of dollars for a place I don't live in. It's me again. As a follow up, I was hoping that after my first review, someone from this company mite really move off the chair and do something to try to resolve the problem but unfortunately, it's just getting worse and worse. Actually, they try to comfort you by sending someone over to look but not fix and disappear after that. I have lived here now for 3 months. When I first moved in there were several things that needed replaced and they were done very fast. The guys are great and do a wonderful job. The apartment is fair for the price. My one real complaint is the neighbors that allow their apartment doors to slam when coming and going. Also the front door is very loud when closing. The common area is very loud and the echo is annoying to say the least. It only takes a second to stop your door from slamming but I guess that's too much to ask right??? The walls are thin which allows you to hear conversations. Not great for privacy. I'm here for a long while so I do hate the noise but unless people become more respectful, I'm not holding my breath. read more

The people in the admin office are terrible-rude-Not nice. They need new people there. They never help you. They don't even acknowledge you. Especially Kelvin. They make you feel worst than when you initially walked in!!! Even if they're at fault! They charge for everything here.
