I was confident enough to leave my parents under Atrium's care because everyone treated my parents like a family. Daisy Newson the Director is very professional and understands how important family decision it is to entrust their parents to a facility without feeling guilty. I feel her genuine compassion towards my parents . My parents lifestyle changed for good after moving to Atrium Assisted Living. They are both happier with the care, food and activities. It is also convenient for my Dad to go to his physical therapy because it's just next door. The convenience you provided from the visiting doctors , 24/7 nurses and aides is unparalleled. The facility itself is like a five stars resort. She provided us with a wonderful aide who is skilled, caring and supportive of my husband plus helpful to me also. Ana's employees have always been responsible, on time and very skilled. Staff were often not around and if they were they were chatting while residents were neglected. Found our mother on numerous occasions in urine soaked clothing and left sitting in the dining room between meals for hours. Artis advertises and promises consistent activities and there were none for two months when they were unable to fill the "life enrichment position". Numerous meetings with the director of facility with no changes in care and constant promises so finally moved our mother out to a different facility. Poor leadership and total lack of respect and accountability from staff. So disrespectful to the residents and their families. Shameful.-

I will say the initial wow factor gives me high hopes for proper rehab. The nurses were attentive and Dr Chang came in to get to know the patient and the caretakers. The rooms are like a Marriott Hotel and if you give the staff respect they are very accommodating. I look forward to seeing how this stay goes.
