But honestly? It was so delicious that we weren't even mad about the mix up. That said, I'm definitely coming back to try the Dante next time! I'm usually not a fan of fig, but it added the perfect touch of sweetness. 10/10 for sure. These sandwiches did not disappoint and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

A Little Taste of New York in Palm Harbor!…read more If you love New York City vibes, Lucky Dill is definitely a place worth checking out! From the NYC-inspired decor to the classic deli atmosphere, this restaurant brings a little piece of the Big Apple to Florida. The menu has so many options, from traditional New York-style deli sandwiches to soups, comfort food, and an impressive selection of desserts. And let's talk about the bakery! I especially love the New York theme throughout the restaurant. It's such a fun concept and definitely makes this place stand out from your typical dining spot. A cute local spot with lots of character and a little NYC charm right here in Palm Harbor!

The one thing that really got to me was that there was a customizable sandwich section, so I get a roast beef sandwich. Every topping is extra money, even the basics... lettuce, tomato, mayo. Lastly get this, they wouldn't add pickles to my sandwich... the waitress said I could pay for a couple of spears on the side, but they won't add pickle chips to any sandwich... at a place advertised as a sandwich place... named "Lucky dill deli"... it felt pretty ironic and kinda bizarre! Other than that, everything was OK. Mozz sticks were great, service was ok. Will probably not be returning, but not a bad place for a quick bite.

Parking is a bit tricky because the place is so packed with shoppers and diners. My dining companion, and I found a side street a few blocks away with street parking. Shoppers of all sorts are picking up weekly groceries, baked goods, deli items, cheese, wine, candies, and any manner of specialty product products. Despite the long lines to pick up bakery items or deli items, the line to check out, moves very swiftly. The majority of people seem to know how the place functions and what order to pick up things to check out in the most swift fashion without having to backtrack. On our next visit, we will have a better sense of what the routine is. I highly recommend a visit to the store if you're in the area, and save room for a bakery item!

We started with a meatball sub (don't break my balls) and Philly cheesesteak (yo mamma). Both delicious, hot and filled with the good stuff. And the bread? Worth the trip on its own lol. Next we tried 3 of their famous chicken cutlet tacos. Caesar salad, Alfredo and vodka pasta. Super messy and super delish. We packed more than half of all that for home. Of course we also took a piece of lemon cello cake and pack of black & white cookies for dessert. I was there with my mom and my five month old daughter in a stroller, which wasn't easy. This was my first time here and the process of ordering and then waiting for your order to be called was stressful. I checked the menu online before going and there was no mention of the slice specials which I couldn't see easily from the line. I also couldn't see the slice bar or flavors available while in line so that wasn't helpful. The fountain for drinks is behind the counter so you can't get yourself a refill. Instead, you have to go through the crowd again to ask an associate to do it for you. Associates were helpful with my questions. No one was wiping tables down between customers. I ordered the Yo Adrian, Bianca slice, cannoli and lobster tail. The Yo Adrian was okay. Too much soft bread, not enough cheese, good amount of onions and some of the meat was chunks rather than shaved. The Bianca slice was primarily burnt on the bottom and didn't seem fresh which is sad considering we were there before noon. The cannoli was good. The lobster roll pastry was great; likely because it was fresh. The ice cream is in boxes, which have had the top cut off and the cardboard was wet and peeling in one of the boxes I saw while waiting in line. I think skipping the ice cream seems like a safe choice. I won't be rushing back but will return at some point to try a breakfast sandwich on a NY bagel and order a whole pie to try so it's fresh.
