Go to guys for all Towing's needs! Fast and reasonable. They have never left me waiting.

Im new to the area and my car died at the left turn lane on Rollins, so I quickly googled tow service near me, and dialed the first company that popped up (Fox Recovery/Towing). The guy was very polite/professional and said a driver would be there soon. Within 10 minutes, Lee showed up in a massive flat bed and carefully collected my vehicle. Lee dropped me off at home and suggested a shop to take my vehicle to. He made a stressful situation very smooth. I also can't believe the negative reviews on here.... because my experience was exceptional. Lee called me after he dropped off my vehicle, to let me know it was locked up and safe. I never carry $$, so Lee was able to take my payment over the phone, and even emailed me a detailed receipt with photos to submit to my auto insurance for reimbursement. If I ever need another tow (knock on wood) I would 100% use Fox Recovery & Towing. read more

Very easy to work with. My car was at the shop within 1/2 hr of my calling for a tow. The driver was very helpful and took care of everything. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews!!! Respectfully I think it's just people that are very agitated that their car was in pounded by the local police and therefore wishing out at this company. I have called on this company several times to tow my car they've always been on time and the price was always extremely fair and the drivers are extremely polite. I called today for a tow and they showed Sooner than expected and I think it may have even been the owner that came out out of the car. So again I don't understand the negative feedback. read more

Fox Recovery And Towing came to my property and proceeded to tow my vehicle. Shrek Martinez the tow truck operator had my car half way on the lift. I paid $60 to get it off. He said its a cash business so no receipt or records can be taken when i asked for a receipt. What they were doing was pretty unethical though not illegal due to the rules. Any how i proceeded to tell my neighbors to move their cars so they wouldn't get towed. Shrek then stepped out of the fox towing truck and proceeded to call me a snitch and what not because he would not be able to capitalize on the easy $60 get the car off the rack fee. All good no problem. When he got back in his vehicle he then called me the N word and Threw Chew spit from a pepsi bottle on my vehicle. The pictures and complaint have been filed with the fox lake pd. I called the company and they told me i needed to come in to talk to any management. When i got there Shrek was standing by the counter and immediately grabbed his manager Mike Herman. 2 sentences into my complaint Mike told me to "shut the F up and step outside" and to take my problems elsewhere when i asked for further information to file a complaint. Mike then came around the desk and was chest bumping me out the door. When i stepped outside he yelled "come on!" and pushed me and yelled it again and chest bumped me once more. I stood my ground not putting any hands on him and told him to back off. His friends pulled him away. read more

After one of the company trucks broke down, I called my mechanic and he said that the issue was something that he had suspected and would refer me to someone who is an expert in that field. He also told me to call Fox Towing and I am glad I did. The service was GREAT! This vehicle that broke down was a large vehicle with many details that are foreign to me. Sergio was the name of the person that helped me and he went above and beyond, by being patient, allowing me to text him a photo of the vehicle for a better understanding and above all he was kind. The experience was so convenient! The tow truck was there within half hour and they also gave my co-worker a ride. A+ SERVICE GUYS! read more

The people here were so unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Walked into the garage to pick up my car and 5 people were standing around inside smoking cigarettes and sitting on their asses. I waited for someone to help me for an HOUR. MY CAR REAKED OF CIGARETTES AND HE DROVE MY CAR OFF MY PROPERTY AND TO THE LOT. My car was released yet the lady was refusing to let me set up an appointment and told me that she is pushing my appointment until Monday because she's was going to talk to me anymore. I told her I was on my way with the police and she finally approved my appointment. ALSO, WOULDN'T GIVE ME A RECEIPT AND ONLY TAKES CASH?? sounds extremely fraudulent to me. These people act like they have authority over you for no reason at all. The most RUDE people you will ever encounter. IF I COULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD, DON'T USE THEM! read more

My car was towed yesterday morning didn't know it was towed until 11 p.m. last night. Called first thing this morning and was told there's two days storage? How can they charge me two days storage when I didn't even know it was towed. I am picking it up within 24 hours. UPDATE: the owner Shawn was willing to work with me and removed the 2 days storage. I will now give it 1 star. I would have given it more stars but Joe his employee was rude as hell and no one should be subject to someone that unhappy and ignorant. read more

This business is full of uneducated idiots. If you have a choice, find someone else. Unfortunately I had no choice. An accident occurred in which the business misrepresented the cause of the accident as alcohol related, in which no alcohol was involved. Second, they are rude and have no decency when dealing with their customers. I guess this is they way their business is since you are forced to deal with them. If you have a choice, find a reputable company. This one deserves to be sued and shut down for slander, defamation of character, and simply being rude. I am going to see if I can help them with that. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

I had a driver injure his back trying to re-secure product near Round Lake, IL. I called Fox Recovery and towing to see if they could support towing or driving our Semi to the off-load destination, which was about three miles away. The person that answered the phone was extremely rude. As a project manager, I didn't know the specific details of the trailer axels and semi truck model. I knew it was a semi truck with a 48ft flat-bed. He stated "you don't even know what truck you have - not interested" Click.... I was willing to pay a hefty fee for their support (Estimated $500 - $1000 for their assistance), which probably would have taken less than an hour. Moreover, I was more concerned with my driver sustaining an injury and getting him to a hospital. I could have provided Fox Recovery with all of the important information they needed, but they didn't give me the chance. I'm surprised the leadership is allowing that level of unprofessionalism. I do not recommend using this company for any service. Yelp doesn't allow us to respond to comments, so I will use this review section to respond below: Our driver is doing well and safety will always be our #1 concern. I did specify all of the details requested by Shawn below - driver injury - truck runs fine - located three miles away from your facility. Shawn, I really think the owners of Fox Recovery and Towing need to have a serious conversation with you. We all have our bad days, but you were very rude on the phone and shouldn't be dealing direct with customers. Based on the other negative reviews, it's easy to see a pattern of unprofessionalism. read more

Terrible service. Guy's are drunk and rude. They will dent ur car. No thanks. Never again

If you want rudeness and stupidity they are it! They towed our car because we backed into a space. Our agreement with the apartment we rent clearly marks which buildings you can't back in your space but, they can't read. They are scamming people to make some cash. Be forewarned not to use this company. read more

Fox towing save my day. It is kind of funny, I'm an automotive locksmith myself, and was doing a show working with repossessors and tow truck drivers. When the show ended, I loaded up my locksmith van, went to pull out of the Rosemont Convention Center, and was rear ended by an uninsured Cadillac driver. Was a little embarrassed since it happened right in front of all the tow truck drivers I had been working with all day. When I started asking around to get my van back to the Fox Lake area everybody gave me the same answer, "sorry I'm heading in the opposite way." I ended up calling Fox Towing and they had somebody there within 30 minutes. They brought me home with them and dropped the van off at the body shop. I couldn't have asked for a better service. They weren't your typical tow truck drivers either, thanks for all your help. Would recommend these guys every time! read more

Fox Recovery and Towing - Nice new truck in the first ride home on a box tow truck - Roadside Assistance Near Me - Ingleside, Illinois

Fox Recovery and Towing came to get our van after an accident near Twin Lakes, WI. Ed was in an electric wheelchair which weighs 350 pounds and was in the towed van. Sean strapped the wheelchair to his flatbed and drove it to our home! The accident had me wondering how we would get Ed home as well as the wheelchair. The professionals from Twin Lakes Fire and Rescue picked up Ed (a quadriplegic) and put him in the backseat of my daughters car. How would we get his wheelchair? THANK YOU TO FOX RECOVERY AND TOWING! All turned out well. And thank You, God for all the great people who helped us. We both are doing very well! Kathleen read more

Very professional and kind. I was referred to them when my car broke down and needed to be towed. They said they would be there within the hour. They were, and when they got to my house the driver was also kind and excellent at his job. I joked at how well he maneuvered in my driveway. Thank you for your prompt and professional assistance! read more

I wish there was a zero stars option. My brakes went out this morning and I'm in Lake County. But my mechanic, the only man I trust to fix my truck, is 18 miles away in Cook County. Called Fox Towing at 6am, when I was frantic and willing to spend on a tow. Fox towing was rude, barely audible, and told me quickly and dismissively that they do not go that far. That's odd, because your advertising says otherwise. I can't wait to tell everyone I know how rude they were, and boy were the other tow companies surprised when they tried to refer Fox to me! Bad news travels fast, and you really blew it being nasty to a damsel in distress. I will tell my family, my community, and everyone on FB to NOT. USE. FOX. TOWING! Please use some of your earnings for customer service classes, manners 101, or how not to be a jerk on the phone! I have photos of their "Anywhere, anytime" campaign online. Ha!!! read more

Any one thinking of using Fox Recovery and Towing DONT! Go somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. The manager was very rude and has no compassion for other people. Apparently in his world it's ok to quote people one price and then try to charge them something else when they come to pick up their car. I would never ever use them again nor would I ever recommend them to any one else. read more

If I could put 0 stars I would. They run a predatory scam. Someone I know recently got into an accident. Nothing too major, but the tire was blown so not driveable from the scene. They showed up, and just took the cars without saying a word to either driver. No discussion of prices, no signing of papers, nothing. The victim, my friend, was then quoted at 480.00 for a 2 mile tow. Now I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that is a VAST over charge for a non totaled vehicle going a short distance. If my friend had known the terms up front, which I assumed was supposed to be discussed at time of pick up, he would not have allowed them to touch it. So if you can help it and you need a tow, DO NOT USE THEM! read more

Horrible customer service. Kept hanging up on me when trying to get assistance. Would not recommend anyone to use this company.

So my truck got towed and when I got it back everything was missing!!!! They stole all my money from my center console. DONT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING!!!! Then they charge you a ridiculously high price to get it back from them. This place is a joke. read more

Locked my keys in my car while at a pit stop on the way to a wedding. I was in a terrible bind. To boot, it was also pouring rain. I definitely recommend them and though I hope to never have that happen again, I'll call them next time I have issues. read more

My son made a mistake. A very large one that got his car towed. But the way they treated him was absolutely wrong. NO ONE deserves treatment they gave both my son and myself. He was told to pick his car up after a certain time. When we called to pick it up on Saturday at 12:52 pm we were told they closed at 12 pm for pick ups and we couldn't come till Monday after 9 am. His car was towed late Friday night 10:10 pm to be exact. I asked the man who answered the phone how much we can expect to pay. He stated it was $190 for for the tow and $50 for storage each day. My son was given a specific address for the towing company on his tow ticket. When he went to the address, it brought him no where basically empty lot. He called the number to see what address it was at because he was given two different ones. He told my son he couldn't hear him, so he repeated his question. At this point frustrated because the guy kept interrupting saying he couldn't hear. So he hung up figured bad connection. I called the guy to try to ask him the same question, he proceeded to yell at me asking if I was with the rude kid who was trying to get his car, and then proceeded to threaten to keep my sons car if he kept calling. I ignored him yelling at me as I was not being rude I was just trying to get correct information, I stated once again about the address screw up that my son is confused, he was given a address on his tow report and its not correct. He went on to say how he's been where he has for over 12 years. I again asked where this location was. He went on to say he isn't open till 9 am to pick up. I told him I understood, however my son wanted to be there when they open. The guy rambled off some words super quick, so I asked politely to please repeat it. And he then proceed to speak in a extremely demeaning voice. I ignored his rudeness and thanked him. They proceeded to give him grief when he came and charged him for 4 days 96 hrs of storage even though it was for 2 1/2 days a actual total of 59 hrs. When my son asked why it was so many days they proceeded to tell him he should have picked it up by 2 pm on Saturday. He mentioned that we weren't told that, we were told we couldn't come since they closed at 12 pm. Completely took advantage of my son, he has already screwed up he didn't need the treatment they gave him. read more
