They have the standard basic fayre for a pub, the steaks and the gammon. Their specials' board sports a lamb shank for just over a tenner. Good value for money. We tend to split the bill.... On the night they had a "roast Dinner", option which was 3 courses. I had: French Vegetable Soup (a bt of spice added to give it a bit of a kick. Roast Pork, with stuffing, and roast potatoes. In addition they brought out a dish of mashed potatoes, cabbage, carrots and peas. Plus another serving of gravy. Pudding, I chose chocolate fudge cake with two dollops of vanilla ice cream. I did point out that there was only one "F" in Trifle. I did expect them to say that they did in fact have more than one available.... Think about it..... Two pints of Butty Bach bitter 4.5% ABV....very nice..... Total for my meal and beer: £19.10. I didn't get any crackling with my pork, dropped them a star..... Well, they can't have everything.... I'm so stuffed I had to unbutton me trousers lol I love Bridgenorth and this pub is typical of its style. Quite dark n dingey but in a very rustic, warm way. But back to the food. I had brandy pate starter and pork Sunday dinner style mains. Mouth watering pork just fell apart. So tasty! And finished off with a chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream and an orange zest. Delicious. The service was excellent and the Irish waiter was funny & friendly. Really highly recommended!

I remember when it reopened it soon became a favourite of me and my ex . Happy days :) . The food is excellent and theres a good range of local real ales and guests . It does however have quite a modern feel , very well maintained and I have always find the service excellent . In addition theres a stable bar out back with extensive seating in the courtyard .

We arrived 10 mins early and were showed to our table. Drinks ordered we were asked twice in the next 30 seconds if we were ready to order, despite having no menus! Eventually we ordered and were asked to pay there and then, before any food had arrived! When questioned the young waitress said she had been trained to ask for this as we were outside. This made us feel like we were being judged to be likely to fo a runner.....58 and 59 year olds respectively!! Starters and mains came and went. To be fair thet were OK but the night had already been spoilt by the "Pay first" insult. Still waiting for the sweet menu. Shame really, could have been so much better for not a lot of effort or trust.

Sometimes they do not offer a lock in. Not open lunchtime. The old owner used to be a bit of a lech. The new one is a local legend. Give it a try if you see it. Whilst some pubs in the town have come and gone in popularity, the Bell has remained steadily the place to be post 10pm.
