The pool techs are very junior, familiar with basic pool chemical balancing. If anything is not right, I as the homeowner have to ask why (why is the water cloudy?) and the response is (shrugs shoulders) call the office and have the send a repair person out to investigate. I've been paying this company to come weekly (even in the dead of Winter when no one is using the pool) because I was sold on "we need be there weekly to stay on top of any issues." That is far from what has been happening -- homeowner should not have troubleshoot water quality issues. Dear Pool Experts, as the company that services our pool you need to inform me that there is a problem so that I can do something about it since you are unable to.

We then agreed to a weekly maintenance program. I have used other pool maintenance companies in the past and most of them we a horrible value. They would stop by for less than ten minutes and then leave while charging premium prices. Robert, on the other hand has been spending 30 minutes or more every visit. The first visit he probably spent two to three hours or more getting the pool back. He adjusted chemicals, scrubbed the tile and turned the pool clear blue again. The Pool Doctor is a newer business which isn't a bad thing. He devotes the time he has to his clients in a way the big companies don't. I would definitely recommend him.

The chlorine levels were dangerously high (pool company said DO NOT GO INTO THE POOL) and the salt was too high which I knew because he dumped too much salt into the pool. It had already been diluted by rain water which was pumped out and was still too high. I encourage all customers who are reading that are being serviced by Gold Coast Pool "Pro's" ..sic.. to get a sample of their to Leslie's pool store and get a free test. I had also suspected that Casey was Justin's gf. She wrote a 5-star review in Google and then wrote a 5-star review in Yelp after my 1-star review. Here's her 5-star review of her bf's company: "Casey Gomez 2 reviews 6 months ago Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I use his services for my vacation homes. He does regular service on multiple hot tubs and is usually available when I need something quickly looked at. He always answers his phone and is very fairly priced compared to some of the bigger businesses I've used for my vacation rentals!"

He installed motor and wired it up. He also repaired a PITA leak from the spa light fixture, so water would not short out the new motor. Travis ain't cheap, but good value to get spa back up and running at fraction of cost of newer models-if you can get one (delivery's are 3+ months out). He a nice guy to talk to and learn from as he goes if you care to ask.
