I've been to both the Scottsdale and Gilbert locations, and I really like that they rotate the bartenders between both spots. Even though I don't smoke, my partner enjoys an occasional cigar, and it's always nice that the staff remembers your name and makes you feel welcome. The service is consistently excellent, and they have a great selection of drinks--from premium whiskeys to just about any cocktail you can think of. I have to say the customer service here is impeccable. I came here to purchase cigars for a Father's Day gift. I obviously know NOTHING about cigars. There was an amazing gentleman who asked all the right questions and was able to find me the perfect cigar! After reading the other reviews about outstanding customer service I think maybe I came in on an off day. Some coworkers and I came in on a Friday after work to have a drink and a cigar. It took forever to get the bartenders attention. The woman behind the bar just blatantly ignored us. We kept a card on file for our tab. Next day we see a second charge for $50 on our card from the place. When we call to ask about that they informed us that it's just a hold for opening a tab and as long as we closed our tab it would be refunded. We mentioned that should be something they tell us when we open the tab and the person on the phone said that's not his responsibility. When we asked to talk to the manager he said there was no manager working that shift? He was then hesitant to give the managers information until finally giving us an email. read more

I was looking forward to going to Fox Cigar on my last trip to Phoenix. We decided to try the Gilbert location as we had already went to the Scottsdale and had a good time. Unfortunately we can't say the same for the Gilbert location, service was underwhelming, tables and ashtrays were dirty. We were there almost 2 hours before someone emptied the ashtrays. Maybe if we were sitting on the bar we would have had a better experience. Staff catered to the regulars. Management don't let standards drop, you will loose in the long term. I honestly don't know much about cigars so my review is based off my overall vibe. So far, I've been twice and would go again. It's nice a way to pre game or end the night, it's a chill environment. Even though they mostly play Hip Hop ( which I adore), the crowd is very diverse, from different races to different age groups. Some people are dressed up and some are dressed more casually. As I said I mentioned before, I don't know much about cigars but they have a wide variety of affordable options and the workers there are more than happy to answer any questions. I have been going here for the last two years. I have always found the staff helpful and knowledgeable. One case I was smoking a RP cigar and the burn was all over the cigar. I mentioned it to the staff and they immediately got me a replacement. Seating is adequate and every now and then we sit in the VIP lounge which has nice comfortable chairs and plenty of screens. To my surprise the humidor was stacked of high quality sticks ranging from 7 ish buck up to the high 20's. I was pleased with the selection of nicaraguan, Dominican and Cubans. My boyfriend, his friend & I checked this cigar bar out last night for my boyfriend's birthday. We got our cigars & went up to the front. At first, the bartender/cashier, was fine. He started checking us out for our cigars & asked us if we wanted any drinks, & we decided to just get water first. At this point, it was mainly me and the cashier talking. As we were waiting to get our receipt, I asked my bf if he wanted a whisky ginger & he decided yeah, so when the cashier looked back at us to give us our receipt (he was talking to someone else while it was printing) my boyfriend asked if he could order a drink with him, or if he needed to go down to the other side of the bar (just confirming he was ordering at the right spot since it was our first time & there were other bartenders). When my bf started asking the guy if he could order, the smile on his face completely dropped & at one point, he threw his arms out & said "Yeah you order here, that's why I asked you if you wanted a drink & am getting you waters." & was obviously so annoyed, was super condescending, & LITERALLY started laughing. And I know he knew he was being rude because when I said "Yeah we changed our minds, that's why we asked" his attitude changed real quick & he started being super nice. I don't know what beef this guy had with my bf, & I am not sure why him confirming we were ordering at the right place was so triggering to him, but I have never witness such rudeness from an employee anywhere. I worked in the service industry for 7 years & understand it can be stressful & frustrating & what not, but my boyfriend was being so nice & just wanted to make sure he wasn't taking up the guys time. They didn't check on us once after, & my bf & his friend didn't get any more cigars or drinks because of how negative and awkward the interaction was. Fox in Scottsdale, is my spot. Favorite place in the Valley to relax and chill. Bar none. No questions asked. We were down in the Gilbert tonight getting some food at Joes Farm Grill, and we decided to head over here afterwards since we were in the neighborhood. First time here, and I would definitely come back. Humidor was larger than the Scottsdale location and the prices seemed about the same. Service was GREAT (A trademark of Fox....Scottsdale has impeccable service, and this Gilbert location was spot on, also!) from the 3 employees we encountered. Same great music, and lots of TVs to watch the games. Only thing I didn't really like was the layout of the inside and seating. I only saw a few "comfy" chairs, the rest were stools around high top tables and the bar. Scottsdale has at least a dozen "comfy" chairs. The patio was larger and when the weather gets nicer, it would be a cool spot to hang out at. Noticed that the chairs are firm though, and dont have the lean back/rocking that the ones in Scottsdale do on their patio. Small gripes, I know. Still prefer Scottsdale over this location, but if I lived in/near Gilbert, this would be my regular lounge. Had a good time, and will definitely be back when in the area! read more

The staff here are extremely courteous and friendly. Plenty of seating outside and it looks like they had another section just for members. Additionally, they have numerous TVs placed to watch sports. I don't really drink that often anymore but I felt that their whiskey was more on the expensive side. For example I had ordered two glasses of Buffalo Trace (~$25 for a bottle at a liquor store) and it cost me over $26. During peak hours their non-member indoor seating needs more ventilation. If you walk inside you'll run into a wall of smoke. Overall a pleasurable experience and a good way to relax for an hour or so! read more
