You will be calling maintenance constantly. You will hear your neighbors through the thin walls. You'll probably step on dog poop if you decide to walk in the grass. You will have insects in your apartment and don't even get me started on the outside closet. Once you decide to leave this hell hole, they'll take your deposit & charge you $600 for the cheapest carpet known to man, even though maintenance, and pest control was in and out with dirty boots on multiple occasions. They will also lie and say you tried masking smells with cinnamon, but the truth is the mildew and mold is what's causing the smell!! When we moved in within a week or so our dishwasher acted up and maintenance came late at night and stayed till 2am when the issue was resolved. Our dishwasher was connected to the sink plumbing so it would flood and after that we rarely had this issue. We were really impressed with this place for about a year. Then we had not so great neighbors, our car got stolen and we started to feel unsafe. Throughout all of this management was prompt to respond and very thoughtful. They made us feel appreciated and heard. I felt like Alicia (the property manager) really listened to me. If she wasn't around, whoever was did their best to help with any issues. As I stated maintenance was there for an emergency. We didn't really ask for much from them otherwise. They're good about keeping the grounds clean bd managing the trash situation as quickly as they can. The dumpsters over flow often especially on F- Sun but they do try to keep it under control. There were a few instances where maintenance wouldn't inform us of work. One time (I was about to pop with my second) I went to take a shower and there was no water. They'd shut it off for our whole building mid summer and told no one anything. These kinds of things would happen every once in a while. We'd lived in communities before that send a courtesy email or clip a note to the door way ahead of time. It's not unreasonable to have notice for these things. In the 3yrs we were there they had work done in the unit above us a handful of times and every single time they did the floors the works for just throw their supplies on the ground raining from 7am- 11pm. No warning there'd be work above us- nothing. Every neighbor wasn't considerate. I'm not over exaggerating. Everyone is loud!!!As much as I want to go into full on detail the list would just be too long. We have small children and they'd get woken up on average 3 times a week by disturbances. Towards the end they didn't really nap because it wasn't possible. If you are hard of hearing or are a noisy person that has no regard for anyone else then this place is perfect for you. If you're hardly ever home and just need a place to eat, shower and sleep- get some really good quality headphones and this place could be for you. If you are a stay at home parent or work from home this place will drive you absolutely bananas.

They're just trying to avoid you. They can't keep management here and I wonder why. And I'll tell you that corporate makes a decision so you know what it's management maintenance that's responsible maintaining this property now as far as the property owners van rooy which are out of Indianapolis Indiana or the worst rental company I could ever imagine dealing with they are sloppy neglectful and they do not care about their properties. The big billboard sign that had their Lakewood name on it had graffiti all over they finally covered it up. And yes it's the type of people that live in here too I will say that and it's definitely ghetto. Worst property I've ever lived on. Close by you'll find: *parks *YMCA down the road *St. Anthony's Medical Center down the road *Schnucks, Dierbergs, Walgreens, and misc small businesses, fast food joints, and local okay-ish restaurants *South County mall just a hop, skip, and a jump away *and church/school options - it's the Mehlville District I personally take off one star because they don't have a robust program of organized activities for tenants, but they do offer the following onsite for renters, which is nice: *tennis courts *small playground *decent swimming pool *beautiful clubhouse with amenities: tanning booth, small gym/variety workout equipment, small computer room, DVDs, and breakfast served there every Friday am *gazebo (not sure why, but it's pretty) *picnic tables and grills in various spots throughout the complex *fenced in (small) dog walking park *garages, limited availability and for an added rental fee *some units have built in washer/dryers-yay, yay, yay! The management team is courteous and friendly. The grounds are very well kept and there's lots of green space, trees, and floweing bushes. Any maintenance and repair requests are done within 24 hours of reporting and/or begun if the project is a bit more extensive. It is in South County, right off Tesson Ferry. It has close and easy access to 270 and 55, and the traffic in the local area is not bad at all. It's just about 30 minutes away from everywhere if you want fun-city-like stuff to do.
