This used to be the best pub in the area, maybe 20 years ago or so. The last few years it went well down the hill with poorer quality food that looked like ready meals or boil in a bag, very cheap dishes, and a right rabble of yelling young kids in there most of the time. We ate in there early in the year and they had two dogs in the restaurant, one of them the owners! Beer choice was always good though and very wide range of things like Deuchars (my favourite) was always on tap. It was very handy for a quick pint while doing the shopping in my nearest 'big town' my village has three pubs and none of them are much cop. Its a bit of a pity its been closed down now, but hopefully some new owner will give it a good clean up. read more
